VENUS ATHLEA SARVANTES

"Venus, get up already, or I'll pour hot water on you!" my cousin threatened, and I quickly got up and headed straight to the bathroom. My cousin is really scary, but I know she'd actually do it. In the past, when I didn't listen to her, she poured ice water on me. "You're always so slow, if we're late, you'll have to face me," she shouted, and you could notice a hint of threat in her voice. After I finished, I quickly put on our uniform and looked in the mirror, posing cutely. "Stop being cute, you brat," my cousin shouted angrily, and I quickly went out. Oh my god, how did my cousin know what I was doing? Maybe she's starting to guess. When I went downstairs, I saw her with her arms crossed, giving me a stern look. "Sorry, cousin, I overslept," I explained, and she just left without a word, and I quickly followed her. "That's always your excuse, Venus Athlea, and it's getting old," she said irritated, and I just pouted. I wonder who Mom's side of the family she's related to, given her personality. But despite her personality, I love her so much, and she's all I have left, along with Mom and Dad. "Are you not getting on? I'll leave you behind," she said irritated, already on the jeepney. I quickly got on, and she paid for my fare for the day since I didn't have any money left. When we arrived, we noticed all the students were still in the ground, and I knew it was still class hours. "Huh?" I said, confused, and when we went inside, the students greeted us. "Venus, Alex!" Zhia shouted, accompanied by her twin sister Zyla. "Why aren't you guys in class?" I asked them, confused, and noticed my cousin wasn't around, probably heading to the student council room. "We're having a free day today, according to the principal, but we're not allowed to go home yet, and lunch is still a ways off," Zyla explained, and I nodded. This was strange, as it was the first time this had happened. Moments later, I heard a familiar number ringing, and I happily answered it, noticing the twins looking at me curiously. "Hello," I greeted cheerfully, still smiling even though they couldn't see me. "Hi, are you free today?" they asked immediately, and I thought about how we had a free day but weren't allowed to leave the school premises. "Yes, but we're not allowed to go out," I pouted, and they suddenly laughed at what I said. "So you are free. Hmm, meet me at the parking lot," they said, and I was taken aback by the request. "Why would I go there? We don't have a car," I replied, and they laughed. "Hahaha, just go now, bye," they said before hanging up, and I shrugged. "Who were you talking to?" Zyla asked curiously, and I noticed she had a knowing look. "Secret," I said cheerfully, and just as they were about to say something, I excused myself. "Bye," and I quickly ran towards the parking area, noticing a familiar figure immediately, and I smiled. My heart was racing fast, even though I hadn't run that far. "Athena!" I shouted her name, and she quickly turned towards me, smiling, and rushed over. When she reached me, I couldn't help but hug her. "I miss you," I said softly, not knowing why those words came out first. I noticed she was taken aback but hugged me back, and I could feel her heartbeat racing as fast as mine. What is this feeling? Why does it feel so good, and why do I like it so much? "I miss you too, wifey," she whispered, and I wasn't sure if I heard the last part correctly, but it seemed like just my imagination. I pulled back, and she was just smiling at me, and I suddenly blushed at her gaze. "Why did you ask me to come here?" I asked immediately, and she smiled again. "We're going somewhere," she said cheerfully, taking my hand and leading me to her car. I noticed her driver wasn't around. "Where's Gaston?" I asked curiously, and she looked displeased for a moment, which puzzled me. "Day off," she replied curtly, and I just nodded. She started the car, and the guard just greeted her without getting a response. We were silent for a few minutes until I thought of something to ask. "Where are we going?" I asked, looking at her perfect face. "Secret," she said cheerfully, and I pouted, feeling a bit to check.

"Wow, it's so beautiful here, and the air is so fresh," I said, jumping up and down again, and I saw Athena just looking at me.

ATHENA SAMANTHA SAAVEDRA

I've never felt this happy in my life. I don't know why, but I know why I'm feeling this way. This girl is the one I've been wishing for my whole life, and I know it's fast, but I know I already love her. Love? I didn't believe in it before, but now it's here, and I know why my parents are always happy, even with problems, it's because of love.

"Venus called my name, and my heart started racing again, and I remembered when I went to see my doctor."

FLASHBACK

I called Dr. Perez because the last time I was with Venus, my heart was racing so fast. "Ms. Saavedra, what are you feeling?" she asked immediately, and I placed my hand on my heart when I thought of Venus. "My heart, I think I have a heart problem," I said coldly, and she nodded, quickly doing some tests, and after a while, she told me the results. "Ms. Saavedra, you don't have any heart problems, and I have a question, Ms. Saavedra, if you don't mind." She suddenly said, and I just nodded. "Were you thinking of something when your heart was racing?" she asked immediately, and I looked at her curiously. "Yeah, you're right, Doc," I replied coldly, and she just smiled at me. "I don't want to say this, but I think you're in love," she said laughing, and I raised an eyebrow at her statement. "What are you saying, Doc?" I asked coldly, and she just smiled at me. "I think it's for you to find out," she said and excused herself.

END OF FLASHBACK

Dr. Perez was right; I'm just in love. And how did I know? I asked my big sis.

"Athena, are you okay?" Venus suddenly asked, crying, and I was shocked when she suddenly cried. "Why are you crying?" I asked immediately, looking at her with concern. "Because you're not looking at me, and you're just smiling at the tree," she said suddenly, and I just shook my head. "I'm sorry, are you hungry?" I asked her instead, and she quickly nodded, and her stomach growled. Kru! Kru! Kru! "Let's go," I said, taking her hand, and I felt a spark. "Where are we going?" she asked, and you could see the curiosity on her face. "We're going to eat," I replied, and when we arrived, the food was already prepared, and I laughed when she squealed. "Wow, Jollibee!" she said cheerfully, and I smiled at her adorableness. "Let's eat," I said cheerfully, and we sat down on a blanket. While we were eating, she was feeding me fries with sundae, and I was feeding her rice. When we finished, I cleaned up the food, and we just sat there. I felt her put her head on my shoulder, and I held her hair, combing it with my hand. Her hair was so soft and fragrant, and it was slightly wavy. "Athena," she called out to me. "Hmm," I replied, still busy with her hair. "Why do I feel this way? My heart is racing, and I just want to be with you, and that's enough for me. I feel like there's something flying in my stomach," she said innocently, and I smiled at her statement, which seemed to mean "I love you." "I feel the same way, and I think we're the same," I replied, facing her. "What is this?" she asked innocently. "It means-" I was about to say something when I heard a familiar ringtone. There's a call for Venus! Venus! There's a call. "Hello, cousin," she answered, and I saw her face turn pale. "Are you okay, Venus?" I asked with concern, and she suddenly put the phone on speaker. "Hello, Venus, where have you been? You better be ready for me," someone shouted on the other end. "Cousin, hehe, I'm heading back now," she said, and I smiled when her cousin shouted. "Come home now, you brat, it's already late, and you've been gone for hours," the person on the other end said irritated. "Yes, cousin," she said, pouting, and hung up the phone. She looked at me and pouted, and I wanted to kiss her, but it wasn't the right time. "I have to go home, but I don't want to," she said sadly, and I quickly hugged her.
