Chapter 7 ( Is The Rumors Really True?)

" An, why you look like that?" Bungad na tanong ni Letisha Ng pumasok Ang kaibigan sa apartment nya na tila takot na takot.

The 1st day of her in Ezekiel Company already passed by. Pagkatapos kase nitong kausapin Ang bisita nito sabay silang umalis. In the end she just go home without seeing Ezekiel.

But of course it's just the first day. She can make more plans tomorrow.

" Did you buy what I asked you?" Muling tanong nya sa kaibigan. Nagpabili kase sya dito Ng mangga pero kanina may dumaan sa company nila kaya nakabili na sya. She texted An not to buy her anymore but her friend doesn't reply. " I already buy na." Inginuso pa ni Letisha Ang kinakain nya.

Ewan nya ba. She's not a fan of mango Naman but she wants to eat it ngayong araw. Moreover she felt like she's eating weird foods too much but maybe she's just thinking too much.

Letisha shook her head. How could she accuse herself of being weird?

" An." Tumayo na SI Letisha sa pagka kaupo since her best friend aren't responding to her words. " Is something wrong?" Nilapitan nya SI An na tila tulala.

" I saw him." Takot na takot na bigkas nito.

" Who are you talking about, An?" She gently grabbed An elbow at pinaupo ito because she's trembling. " Why don't you calm down first." Pakiusap nya sa kaibigan.

Umiling SI An. " I saw him Letisha. He is on the Philippines." Takot na takot na wika nito.

Letisha gently shook her head. She really doesn't know who she is talking about. " Who are you talking about?" Ulit na tanong nya.

Finally An looked at her. " It's him. My husband."

Natahimik SI Letisha sa sinambit na iyon Ng kaibigan.

An has been her best friend since high school. They met when they were in grade 10 during that time when An transferred to her school they became best friends. Letisha thought that An and she are just the same age which is 15 years old but she was shock when she found out An is already 18 years old and already married.

" Do you mean Lucas? Your husband that you haven't seen for years?" Hindi makapaniwalang tanong ni Letisha. " Where do you see him? Why is he here?" Sunod sunod na tanong nya but An didn't answer but just cried.

Niyakap sya ni Letisha trying to make An calm down by that hug. " I don't know but he see me Lisha. What should I do?" Takot na takot na tanong nito.

" What did he do to you?"

Kumalas SI An sa Yakap and looked at her bestfriend. " He didn't do anything because I run away immediately but I'm afraid what happened 7 years ago will repeat."

Letisha sighed. This same scene happened 7 years ago? An, was caught by him. Improsing her into his life. She's like a puppet who can't do anything.

After 2 years. Letisha found An and erased her existence again to make sure that man won't find her ever again.

Umiling SI Letisha. " That man was so powerful An, 7 years ago. I tried to find you but it took me 2 years to get you." She looked at her best friend. " This time I'm afraid that he will do everything to capture you again." Nakita ni Letisha Ang takot na lumitaw sa mga mata Ng kaibigan. " If 7 years ago you didn't stop me. I'm sure that he won't pester you anymore." Muling na pailing iling SI Letisha.

" I can't do it. I can't hurt him"

" Why do you love a man like him, An? She hurt you much? Physically? Mentally? Emotionally? Once he captured you. Escaping from him again will be impossible yet you still wanted to protect him." Letisha once again sighed.

She just wanted her best friend to live normally but now that man found her even living now would be impossible.

An, can never escape that man even though she was afraid of him. She loved him even if it was too painful to bear it.

" I'm sorry Letisha."

Letisha just shook her head " it was never your fault An." She gave her another hug.

Actually Letisha knows that An is not afraid of him. She was just afraid that once she's been captured in his arms again. She'll hate him so much that the love for him that she was protecting for so many years turned to a hatred she couldn't escape at all.

She's just afraid that the man that she loves for so many years will be a monster in her eyes.

" I'm afraid the one that create a demon in him was me. Letisha." Narinig ni Letisha na sambit ni An sa gitna Ng Yakap nya.

Letisha couldn't say anything. Afterall An was right maybe it was her escape during that time that trigger that man to be a monster he is now.

" Don't worry. I will protect you from him."

The Next Day.

Humihimab hikab na pumasok SI Letisha sa trabaho. Mahabang iyakan kase Ang ginawa nila An.

Actually Her best friend only loves one person in her life. It never change. No matter what that man does. An, will still love him. The pain that he gives her. She tried herself to erase it and reminisced about the thing that made her love him.

Ann and she might have the same reality. They promised someone that maybe the reason why there life is like this.

" Wait!" Sigaw nya Ng makitang pasara na Ang pinto Ng elevator. " Thank you." Hingal na hingal na pasasalamat nya. Tumakbo pa kase sya.

She's late so obviously she won't be with Ezekiel this morning. It's really a pity.

" Ezekiel." Muling nagliwanag Ang Mukha ni Letisha Ng Makita nya Ang binata sa elevator and mas lumawak Ang ngiti sa labi nya Ng Makita na mag Isa lang ito. Wala Ang epal na SI Nico.

Tumaas Ang Isang kilay ni Ezekiel as she looked at Letisha who is now daydreaming. Isang maliit na ngiti Ang lumitaw sa labi niya as he watched Letisha again. " Ezekiel? Did you just called me by My first Name? Miss Arcon?" Tila nagising Ang dalaga sa Isang panaginip dahil sa narinig.

How could she be bold to call Ezekiel by his first name in the company?

" I'm sorry Sir." Mabilis siyang yumuko. Letisha heard Ezekiel chuckled gustong gusto na ni Letisha na iangat Ang tingin niya upang Makita Ang ngiti Ng binata pero pinigilan nya Ang sarili.

You're an employee Letisha! Get yourself together!

Pangaral nya sa sarili. " Hmm" it was just a short reply but gave Letisha feelings again. " Won't you ride the elevator?" Mabilis na inangat ni Letisha Ang tingin at pumasok sa elevator.

Is he this nice? Are the rumors about him really all a lie?

Letisha breath in and out. Calming herself not to say stupid things again and again.

" Miss Arcon looks like you forget wearing your contact lens. Your emerald eyes seems beautiful." Gulat na napa tingin SI Letisha Kay Ezekiel. " My Eyes?" Kabadong tanong nya. Ezekiel smiled. " Yes you're eyes. It's beautiful." Napaatras Ang dalaga Ng tingnan sya ni Ezekiel.

His deep blue eyes are so beautiful that it penetrates his heart and his stare was too intense as if wanting to swallow her.

But wait, did Ezekiel just say her emerald eyes?

Mabilis niyang kinuha Ang Salamin sa bag at tiningnan Ang itsura.

" Ohh." Muling humarap SI Ezekiel sa pintuan Ng elevator. Umawang Ang labi nito na tila ba naamuse sa nakikita. " It's interesting." Wika nito.

" Interesting?" She was about to ask him what he mean when the elevator open at tuloy tuloy na lumabas SI Ezekiel.

" Lisha, you're late." Inis na humarap SI Letisha Kay Nico Ng harangan nito Ang Daan nya. Napa Atras si Nico sa gulat dahil sa tingin na ibinibigay sa kanya ni Letisha.

Why does he feel like she was being stared at by A Lady Boss who ordered not to disturbed her but he end up doing that.

" Umm Sorry Nico. What is it?" Biglang mabait nitong tanong kaya Nakahinga Ng maluwag SI Leo.

He really felt like He was glared by his boss Ezekiel Stevan Yun nga lang it's a girl version.

" I put files on your tables. Boss will just attend meetings in the company only. His schedule is a bit free today but for the following days. It will be busier." May paglunok pa na paliwanag ni Nico. " We're also gonna be busier." He sighed.

" I understand." Sagot Ng dalaga na nakatingin pa din sa pinto Ng office ni Ezekiel.

-Lunch Time-

" Are you gonna eat here again?" Naka kunot noo na tanong ni Nico na halatang bababa na.

Iniwas Ni Letisha Ang tingin sa binata. " I don't like being watched by people." Pinalungkot nya Ang Mukha. " They always insult me."

Para namang naintindihan ni Nico Ang sinabi Nya at sunod sunod na tumango.

Pinigilan Ng dalaga na sapakin SI Nico para kaseng sa Mukha nito sya na Ang pinaka nakaka awa na tao sa buong Mundo.

Gusto nya rin Naman Kumain sa baba at nakipag kaibigan. Friendly kaya siyang tao but of course Ezekiel Stevan is still the most important.

Afterall the one night that she shared with Ezekiel Stevan is the reason why she is here. Trying to captivate that Monster Billionaire.

" But Lisha. It's just a pity. If you always stay at the top floor. How could you make friends?"

" Just ask. I'm still fixing my chair." Sagot nito at muling naupo.

" Is Ezekiel----I mean Is our Boss a kind person?" Awkward syang ngumiti.

For the past few days she has seen Ezekiel. She feels that the rumor about him being a monster isn't true at all. He is really nice.

Actually in the Business World. She has a very good reputation while Ezekiel has really a bad one. Actually half of the reason why Ezekiel had a bad reputation was because of her. They were enemies before kase kahit sya lang Naman talaga Ang naninira.

Mabilis na umiling iling SI Nico. " Have you not heard those rumors about our Boss?" Takang tanong nito.

" I heard about it but it's just rumors."

" It's not just rumors. It's true." Sagot ni Nico at sumandal sa upuan nya. " Our Boss' appearance might be the top but he is not a kind one just like his title." He shrugged his shoulders. " But if you did well on your job. He won't be that hard on you."

Letisha sighed. " Is Ezekiel that bad?"

" Actually boss is not bad to be considered monster. He is a human after all." Wika ni Nico na may pag iling pa. " But his just too cold. He spoke to little. He ordered to much. He doesn't smile too much. He destroyed too much and He doesn't spare anyone." May pagtango pa na muling saad ni Nico. " Moreover he---- Basta!" Tumayo na ito sa pagka kaupo. " I eat lunch na sa pantry Lisha. Kita na lang after lunch." Mabilis itong nawala sa paningin ni Letisha.

Ezekiel Stevan was known in the Business World as The Monster Billionaire. Why is he called a monster? Letisha actually doesn't know at all.

Just according to the rumors it was because when handling business problems. From a Prince, Ezekiel turned to a monster who destroyed everything.

" There's no such thing as a monster in this world." Bulong nya. " Whether he was a monster or not. He is mine." Bulong nya sa sarili at ngumiti.

She can't always eat here waiting for Ezekiel. She should do something to make her and Ezekiel dine together but how?

Captivating Ezekiel Stevan really needs time.

" Who's yours?" Halos nalaglag SI Letisha sa inuupuan sa gulat. Unti unti nya na inangat Ang tingin only to see Ezekiel gazing at her.

" Sir!" Gulat nyang tawag dito at napatayo.

Ezekiel smiled that made Letisha stunned.

Nico just said that Ezekiel doesn't smile much? He's cold right? So why is he smiling at me right now?

" Did you have lunch yet?" Tanong nito.

Mabilis na umiling SI Letisha. " What about you boss?" It's her turn to ask.

Umiling SI Ezekiel." Not yet."

Lumitaw Ang ngiti sa mga labi Ng dalaga. Chance was knocking on this door. Ang kailangan nya lang ay Kapal Ng Mukha para yayain Ang binata na nasa kanyang harapan.

" Then can we have lunch together?" Ipinikit nya pa Ang mga mata dahil sa Kaba.

" Alright."

Napadilat din Naman agad sya Ng marinig Ang sagot ni Ezekiel.

But wait, is Ezekiel really as bad as the rumors say? So why is he so nice? Why don't I feel that rumor is true? It's weird. Isn't it? Why is he so nice?

But whatever…

Lunch with Ezekiel is the most important. The process doesn't matter at all.
