Chapter 24 - For Love
Evan was still running. These rats were crazy fast. If he got held up even a little, he knew it was over. He'd managed to do laps but now found himself in the downstairs area. There was room to run, but there couldn't be much lower to go. He rounded the next bend and found that the hall ended in a door. No choice but to go inside and hope for the best. Once inside, he locked the door. He figured it would buy a little time, but he needed to figure out a way to escape. He pulled a lighter from his pocket, thankful that Jeff even grabbed it and gave the room some light. He noticed a candle nearby and started trying to light it.
