“Lexi.” Kevin got out Alexis’ chair when she and Penelope returned to the police station. “How come you haven’t been answering my calls?”
Penelope sat at her desk, chuckling. “Hey, Kevin.”

Penelope wiggled in her seat. “Can’t get over how different you look with the beard.”
Alexis walked around Kevin to get to her chair. “Why are you here?”
“Because you’ve been ignoring me all morning.”
