Blood: one of the ultimate magical paradoxes. Blood has always been a significant part of a person’s life force. A person can die from the loss of too much blood and conversely, a person’s life can be saved by receiving blood. Blood is the life force which sustains us. That’s why blood is so important when invoking strong magic. Blood is passion, life and energy. It’s why the blood sharing ritual is important for bonding with my protector. The blood would bind our essences together, our spirits and bodies together so that in a sense, we would become extensions of each other. I could pull on his stores of magic and vice versa. The potency of blood was strong enough to use as a powerful source of magic.
