FORBIDDEN LOVE

CHAPTER 2

It's been two weeks since Bella arrived in Yaounde  town. Bella has decided to study Economics  and  today she will be going to school to attend her first lectures.she is getting ready to go while chatting with Eve, her cousin.

_BELLA : I'm so stressed out Eve, I have been so used to my teachers and schoolmates in the village , today I will be meeting people from different parts of the country .

_EVE: don't worry Bella , I know how you feel .I arrived here two years ago without anyone to turn to , but today I have made lots of friends both in school and out of school.It's just a matter of time and you will realize that it's not as difficult as you think.

_BELLA : thanks little cousin.

_EVE: maff who is little, let me remind you that I'm older than you by 3yrs.hahahaha

_BELLA :But I'm taller than you hahahaha .See you in the evening. I'm getting late .

_EVE : have a great day in school and if you have any difficulties let me know.

_BELLA:OK( while walking away)

IN CAMPUS ( University of Yaounde 2)

Bella has just arrived on campus and is heading towards the hall where lectures are to take place. She's very nervous ,and at the same time excited.30 minutes later the lecturer arrived and after introducing himself to the students he asked each student to introduce themselves .

_LECTURER: welcome to the university of Yaounde.i will be your lecturer in "economics"  and I count on each and everyone to give me a listening ear and ask or answer questions when need be.

_STUDENTS: yes sir

_LECTURER: with me here is your scheme of work ,which will be printed and given to every student.

Bella was so calm during lectures and after 2hours the lecturer left .the students started leaving the hall while others sat in groups to discuss.

It's been 3 months since Bella started school and today is the last day in school before the first semester break.Bella has become close to a girl by name Rose . They are both studying economics. Rose is a very Brilliant girl , quiet and very simple . Bella is saying goodbye to her friend Rose as she won't be seeing her for the next two weeks

_BELLA: My dear , I'm going to miss you oh, but I think we deserve this Break this semester was not an easy one , our results were good but we have to work harder next semester.take care of yourself.

_ROSE: Thanks my dear, I'm going to miss you as well.I will be visiting my parents in Douala.we will keep in touch .take care of yourself.

On her way home, Bella decided to pass through the market and get some groceries.As soon as she arrived home she changed her facial expression, making her cousin think that her results were not good.

_ EVE :(giving her a hug ) I'm sorry baby cousin , Don't worry you will make it next semester.you really studied despite the fact that you don't understand french .

_BELLA: ( laughing ) I got you!  My results are so good, big cousin , I have validated all my courses with very good grades.

_EVE: OH my! You scared the hell out of me Bella , I was just surprised to see you looking so sad . I'm happy for you.I have validated my courses as well  and I can't wait to have my Bachelor's degree this year.

_BELLA: We have to celebrate this, the reason why I bought some food stuff on my way back. Leave whatever you are doing, let's cook .I bought some sweet drinks as well .

_EVE: you are the best cousin ever( following Bella to the kitchen)

The girls prepared some food and after eating and drinking , Bella decided to inform her parents of her results.

BACK IN THE VILLAGE (Jakiri)

_MAMA FLORA: Joe( short form of Joseph) your phone is ringing oh, I think it's our daughter.

_PAPA JOSEPH: answer the call let me finish dressing up.

_MAMA FLORA: (on phone) hello my daughter , good evening how are you doing?

_ BELLA : Good evening mom, I'm doing fine and you?

_MAMA FLORA: I'm fine my daughter .I hope you are doing well in school.

_BELLA : yes mama, I just wanted to inform you and Papa that I've validated all my courses for this semester.

_MAMA FLORA: (dancing) Joe oh , your daughter has done it again oh ,she will never stop making us proud oh.

_PAPA JOSEPH: (rushing out) give me the phone let me hear from her with my own ears.hello Bella my daughter tell me what you just told your mother.

_BELLA: Papa I have validated all my courses with good grades.

_PAPA JOSEPH: I'm proud of you my daughter (joining his wife in dancing)

_ BELLA: Papa let me allow you and Mom to dance before you people contaminate me with danse.hahaha

_PAPA JOSEPH: ok my daughter.continue to make us proud oh.

It's been two years since Bella left her village for yaounde. She will be going in for her Bachelor's degree this year. She has not had any issues since she came to this town.Bella is looking forward to giving in her best  to obtain a Bachelor's degree.Will this year be as good as the past years? She has been turning down any guy approaching her for a relationship .Her cousin has advised her to  try giving any of those guys a chance but Bella is so determined to have her Bachelor's before thinking about that.

Bella is a definition of a true African woman, she has the shape of a guitar, , Long dark hair, succulent lips, a well shaped Barbie face ,and a dark caramel skin.she does not pass unnoticed reason why this past two years , so many men have been after Bella but she has never been interested.Apart from her physical look Bella is a very smart, intelligent, adorable and loving person, she has other priorities and dating is the least of her worries.Being the only child to her parents she is so determined to succeed and make them proud and no man will distract her.this summer holidays Bella won't be going back to the village ,she intends to look for a small job to enable her raise some money for her school requirements.

BELLA: I have been home for 3 weeks now , I have to look for something to do .

EVE: my boyfriend's elder owns a bookshop and he's in need of a sales girl. If he can hire you for two months that will be good.i will talk with him later in the afternoon.

BELLA: it's good to have rich in-laws oh( teasing Eve) hahahaha

EVE: maff better get a rich boyfriend as well.

BELLA: You know my answer to that, hahahaha.

Eve succeeded to secure a job for Bella at the bookshop . Bella was so happy to work there and resumed work two days later.she worked at the bookshop for 2months and saved a lot of money.As for Eve she was on internship during the summer holidays since she will be going in for a master's degree. Bella is ready to resume school.
