FORBIDDEN LOVE

CHAPTER 6

Bella was still contemplating whether to talk to Richmond or not , while Eve was still Waiting for her Accord. She remembered how her parents use to tell her never to dispise  people and decided to talk to Richmond .

_RICHMOND: hello Bella, how are you feeling now?

_BELLA: fine.

_RICHMOND: Ok, I'm happy that you are fine.i ehrr..

_BELLA: what?

_RICHMOND: I wanted to ask if I can come see you before going to work tomorrow.

_BELLA: like I said I'm fine, no need to come .i will be back on my feet in few days.

_RICHMOND: I have a feeling that you are still mad at me for what happened.like I said I'm very sorry,it was not intentional.

_BELLA: I'm not, it was just an accident.Just that I don't see why you should come here again, like I said I'm fine.

_RICHMOND:ok , I'm happy that you are getting better. Goodbye.

_BELLA: have a nice evening.

Eve who has been listening to their conversation was not happy with the way Bella responded to Richmond.

_EVE: you are not being fair to him Bella.

_BELLA: What do you mean by that?

_EVE: firstly you never wanted to talk to him on phone and now you don't want him to visit. tell me apart from the fact that he put you in this condition is there something you are reproaching him of?

_BELLA: no. I don't just  know why he wants to come here after I told him that I'm fine.

_EVE: tell me how many people will do what he's doing? he's just being nice .we don't know anything about him, maybe he was brought up in a family with good values and that's why he didn't escape after the accident.

_BELLA: he has done enough already, let him continue his life as if nothing happened.

_ EVE: if you say so. I'm going to bed.good night.

_BELLA: Good night.

Bella's behavior towards Richmond is strange, Eve is bothered because her cousin have never been like this before, even when she dislikes someone . Left alone, Bella started thinking about Richmond and asking herself why she doesn't want to see him but at the same time she can't stop thinking about him.she went to bed after asking herself this questions.

Few days later Bella was back on her feet and preparing to go for lectures this morning. Eve decided not to talk about Richmond again to the pleasure of Bella who was trying so hard to forget everything about him, but what she's forgetting is that you can't run away from your own shadow.

_BELLA: I feel fine already,no need to take drugs again.

_EVE: you are not serious baby cousin, the doctors prescribed this dosage because you needed it and not for you to stop taking it when you feel better.

_BELLA: stuiiiips, as if they are the ones to use it, that's too much for me.like I said I'm not taking them anymore.

_EVE: if you were a kid I could have forced you to take them.

_BELLA: thank God I'm not hahahaha.

_EVE: but you are still my baby cousin, hahahaha

_BELLA: stuiiiips

_EVE: I won't be coming home after school.

_BELLA: why?

_EVE: Patrick and I will be attending one of his Friends birthday.

_BELLA:But you can still come home after that right

_EVE: no it's risky, the birthday might finish very late .

_BELLA: just tell me that you want to spend the night with Patrick and do bad things.

_EVE: hahahaha,there is nothing bad in that. One day you will tell me.

_BELLA: there is everything bad in that, you guys are not even married.

_EVE: That one will come later ,for now we just want to enjoy ourselves.

_BELLA: ok oh, you know I don't like staying here alone.But that's fine.

_EVE: don't worry ,it's just for one night and I will be back.

_BELLA: ok. I think we are getting late,let's go .

Bella arrived in campus very early and started revising previous lessons.Few minutes later her friend Rose arrived and from the expression on her face she was very excited to see her friend.

_ROSE :hey bestie, I'm so happy to see you .( giving Bella a hug) I can see you are ok now.

_BELLA: yes bestie I'm fine .you know I don't like missing lectures right.

_ROSE: oh I forgot that you are in love with studies hahahaha.

_BELLA: Stuiiiips, as if you are different. Don't study well, your mom will disown you hahahaha.

_ROSE: hahahaha, that woman is very strict like seriously, reason why I don't play with studies.

_BELLA: How is Daniel ?

_ROSE:Hmmmm, he's fine .

_BELLA: why are you surprised?

_ROSE: you've never asked about Dan before.

_BELLA: Remember you told me that I will learn to like him with time. so the last time you guys visited I discovered that he's a funny guy.

_ROSE: I'm happy that you are beginning to like my Dan,(smile) you will be missing a lot if you keep avoiding him.

_BELLA: stuiiiips, as if he's my boyfriend.you know what I like most.

_ROSE: yes of course, you need a medal for the most studious student.

_BELLA: hahahaha, mafff . that's the lecturer coming keep quiet.

After lectures, the two girls decided to go and see Daniel at the amphitheatre.

_DANIEL: hey babe ( to Rose) I can see your other half is back.

_ROSE: yes babe, I can now breath well.

_BELLA: As if you love me so much stuiiiips.

_ ROSE: hahahaha, let me keep quiet, if not Daniel will be jealous hahahaha.

_DANIEL: not really, I'm just happy to see you smiling babe, since Bella's accident you were just sad like someone that have lost a loved one hahahaha.

_ROSE: Don't mind him bestie.

_BELLA: I mind oh, I didn't know you love me this much hahahaha

_ ROSE: it's unfortunate that you love studies more than me haha.

_ BELLA : How can you say that.

_DANIEL: welcome back Bella, your wounds have heald really fast .

_BELLA: yes Daniel, thanks to that looser I have dark marks on my body.

_ROSE: I thought you forgot about that guy already.

Bella became nervous after mentioning Richmond again,it's been almost a week since he called and she still can't stop blaming him for what happened .

_DANIEL: it seems as if there is something you are not telling us about that guy, I can't wait to meet him.

_BELLA: that will surely be in your dreams

_ROSE: is that why you are smiling when his name is mentioned?

_BELLA: mafff, what is so special about his name, ugly name stuiiiips.

Daniel and rose could not control themselves,they laughed until Bella became upset and decided to leave, She is tired of everyone saying positive things about Richmond when she is trying to forget him.

Somewhere in town Richmond has just finished working, he's a lawyer unlike his Dad, Richmond is the first son of a family of three, they come from the Northwest region of cameroon.his mother is a lecturer, meanwhile his other siblings are studying in China.Its been two years that Richmond left the family house to live on his own.He has not been lucky in relationships as girls are only interested in his money.on his way home he decided to inform his dad , the owner of the cabinet.

_Mr ROLAND :hey son( referring to Richmond) seems as if you are going home already.

_RICHMOND: yes dad , the case I had this week was not an easy one, I feel exhausted and I think I have to rest well.

_MR ROLAND : exactly son, cases like that are always difficult, especially when you are defending the accused.

_RICHMOND: I wish I could go on a two weeks Break, but unfortunately I got a call from a lady that wants a divorce and wants to have custody of her kids.

_MR ROLAND: oh, that's really unfortunate for you and fortunate for me because I don't like it when you are not around.

_RICHMOND: hahahaha dad you are terrible.let me take my leave, have a nice evening.

_MR ROLAND : you too son.

It's been almost a week that Richmond has been trying to forget Bella but he finds himself being tempted to call.His  last relationship ended a year ago and since then he has not had time for any relationship.But that day he came to the hospital and met Bella in that hospital bed, everything changed.He can't stop thinking about her.  the way she sounded on phone made Richmond scared and he does not know how to approach her.

On his way home,he saw someone and his car nearly entered a gutter.who could that be ? ...
