#5. Red room

“You runts. I’ll show you the power of an S class mage”

“S…. Class…. Mage?” Silver said in a shaky voice with a clear expression of how surprised she was.

“Hey Silver you okay?” He asked patting her shoulder.

“That guy is an S class mage. So the chance of us winning is little but….”

“We can’t…. We have no chance of winning against him” She said still frightened.

“Uh”

Tristan then summoned two big magic circles, so big that it could be seen clearly from the city. One on the ground and a bigger one in the sky covering the whole forest.

Aran was already at the entrance of the forest when he saw the big magic circle in the sky.

“This is his magic…. These guy’s sure delayed me” he said looking at the bandits that was trying to stop him unconscious on the floor.

“I can sense his aura all the way here. Have to hurry” he said as he entered the forest.

“Gale cell” Silver tried the spell repeatedly.

“Its not working anymore. He’s on another level entirely. I’ll just cover us for now” She said as she solidified the air around them to form shield.

“Hope whatever he’s going to do won’t reach us” She said as she made the round shield with the both of them inside floating further away from Tristan.

“There’s no escape…. Void: Poison Field” Tristan said as he covered the whole forest with a red force field preventing anyone from coming in or going out.

“This magic spell…. Tch. Tristan what the hell are you doing?” Aran muttered.

“He covered the whole forest” Ken said shockingly.

“Poison field: Red Mist” Tristan muttered.

Few seconds later all the plants and trees in the forest began to whither.

“We’ve gone far enough, I don’t think he can…. “ She paused and looked around.

“What’s going on? All the trees are dying and there’s red Mist everywhere” she added.

“That guy is bad news” Ken said looking around.

“Hey Silver how long can you keep this shield up?”

“It will be fine as long as….”

“Going somewhere?” Tristan said as he appeared in front of them and destroyed the shield.

“He’s a lot faster” Silver muttered as they landed on the floor.

“We have to get away from him”

“On it. Tornado storm” She screamed as she summoned a large tornado and directed it at Tristan.

“Gale prison” she added as she solidified the air to obstruct Tristan who’s been carried by the tornado.

“I’m almost….out of….magic she said grasping for breath and almost fell to the ground but Ken caught her with his back and zoomed off.

“With the way I was moving in our fight earlier. I’ll say I was going at about sixty meters per second. So with this much speed I don’t think he’ll be able to catch up to us easily” he thought then stopped.

“We’re already at the end of the forest but can’t exit because of the force field” Silver said coming down from his back.

“And the red mist is getting thicker, all the vegetation in the forest are probably dead…. Good thing nothing happened to us”

“We need to pass this force field but something tells me that touching it will be a bad idea” then he threw a little rock on it and watched the rock melted quickly.

“We have to think of something before he gets here, the tornado and cell wouldn’t be able to hold him off for long.

“We left him in the mountain which is pretty far from here. There’s no way he’ll catch up do fast” Ken said throwing another rock to the force field.

“Ehhh is that so” Tristan said as he appeared in front of them.

“Uh!” they both exclaimed surprised.

“How….How did you get here….so fast” Silver asked surprised.

“What are you talking about. I was already here before you guys left there” he said walking towards them.

“What do you mean?” Ken asked pointing his sword at him.

“With the red mist all over the forest. You can say I’m everywhere”

“Red mist….? The red mist is what is destroying all the plants right?” Ken asked looking around as if looking for an escape route.

“Of course. But not just plants, all living things in this forest are probably dead by now including animals and humans”

“But how come you and the girl is still alive is what you want to ask me right? Well isn’t it obvious. Killing you guys like that is going to be boring isn’t it?” he said with an intimidating look.

“You bastard” then Ken charged towards him at full speed and hit him on the head with his sword.

“Ahhhhh” Tristan screamed covering his face.

“I….I got him” Ken said having a little hope.

“Just kidding” Tristan said as he appeared behind Ken and gave him a hard punch in the face.

“You runt. Don’t you get it…. You can’t hit me” then he appeared in front of him this time and kick him in his belly knocking him to the ground.

“What’s going on…. I can’t see the blue light” Ken muttered coughing out blood trying to get up.

“Of course you wouldn’t be able to sense me, after all I’m omnipresent” he said laughing ludicrously.

“Omnipresent…. So that’s why….” Silver said trying to attack.

“Woah” Tristan appeared in front of her and punch her in the gut. “You’re almost out of magic right? Wait your turn. Once I’m done with him I’ll handle you.

“Okay time to take it up a notch” then he summoned red mist around Ken. He tried to avoid it but couldn’t move. “What’s this I can’t move”

“Poison field: Red mist…. Multiple sclerosis” Tristan said touching Ken’s hair.

“You’re now paralyzed but that’s not all” then he snapped his fingers.

Suddenly Ken began to scream in agony.

“That’s a nice expression you have there. That’s what I’ve been wanting to see.” He said laughing hysterically.
