As soon as Ken heard the school bell, he dashed out from the classroom heading to the game store to get the new release of his favorite MMORPG "Legends Tale". The only thing on his mind was to get his own before it gets sold out. Akatsuki Ken, an eighteen year old boy with black hair and bright red eyes. He lives together with his elder sister in Saitama, Japan. His parents works outside the country so he stays with his sister who works as a doctor in Izayaoi's hospital. She always comes home late cuz of her busy schedule so he spends most of the time at home alone, the only free time she gets is on her day off and at weekends . Feeling excited about the game he's about to play: he went inside to take a quick shower, heading to the living room he saw a note from his sister on the door of his room saying "Ken I'm going to be late again today, there's some money and a shopping list on the table in the dining room so help me get those things from the supermarket before it gets dark, okay?". “Ahhhh” he sighed as he turned to the next page "sorry I'm not always at home, so tomorrow I’ll take you to wherever you want, it's a promise". “Uh I’m not a kid anymore but I guess that’s fine” he said to himself. After playing for a while, he checked the time it was 5:30pm, he went to the dining room to collect the money and hurried to the supermarket. On his way home he saw a little girl crying at the other side of the road “maybe she’s lost” he taught. He decided to go help her, just then he saw a massive out of control truck in the road heading towards her direction, the girl saw the truck and was about to run away but fell down and injured her knee, the truck was about to hit her then Ken pushed her out of the way but got himself hit instead. The people around quickly called an ambulance and rushed him to Izayaoi’s hospital, he couldn’t move or speak but his eyes was somewhat open. After sometime his sister came in to join the doctors in charge, only to see that it was her brother that was on the bed, “hey Ken, is that you” she said with watering eyes. Ken heard her voice so he summoned strength to talk “sorry big sis I kinda lost the things I bought”. “That doesn’t matter, don’t speak yet, everything will be okay so just leave everything to us. Okay?” she said holding her tears. After sometime one of the doctors began to panic “Oh no we’re losing him”. His sister with tear filled eyes held his hand calling out to him. “This is not good, this is not good” said one of the doctors. ”Guess it's over, what an unsatisfying life..... If I could just have one more chance...." he said to himself with regret and passed away. She felt like her heart was being pulled out from her body as she watched her little brother die before her eyes. Ken woke up but didn’t see himself in the hospital instead in a wide room “where am I, I was in the hospital a moment ago “he said looking confused, then he heard a voice “welcome, Akatsuki Ken”. He saw a beautiful girl with silver hair and bright blue eyes coming towards him “wow she’s pretty” he taught “um…. who are you, where am I” he said looking confused. “Sorry for the late introduction, my name is Freya, I’m a goddess” she said. “Wait a minute. Freya? Goddess…..? What are you talking…… “You died” she cuts in. “Oh then how did I end up in this place” he asked. “This is the Divine realm. I’m a goddess and you’re in my palace” she answered. “Goddess” he was surprised. “Yes, I direct people to the afterlife” she said. “Afterlife Wait a minute...” “Akatsuki Ken you are going to be reincarnated in another world” she cuts in. He was surprised after hearing that “what are you talking about, things like reincarnation only happens in Anime and what’s with your outfit, you’re into cosplay”? “You’re a funny one” she said while laughing “Hey goddess Freya tell me what’s going on” he said “Eh so you believe I’m a goddess but don’t believe you’re going to be reincarnated” she said as she levitates still laughing. “well you're floating” he said to himself. The place was so beautiful that he couldn’t stop looking around. Everywhere in the room was silver. There was a silver statue of her that sparkles in the center of the room “wow this place is amazing” he said looking at the silver stairs next to a silver shelf that was under a shinning silver chandelier then all of a sudden he stopped smiling and got pissed off. “Why the hell is everything in this place silver you sparkle obsessed goddess”. “Charming isn’t it” she asked with confidence. “Hell no, it’s too much” he answered. Ken looked at the goddess with seriousness “what about the little girl” he asked. “She’s fine” she answered. Ken left out a sigh of relief. “You’re really amazing to be worrying about someone else when you’re already dead” she said. “Well I lost my life while protecting her it’s only natural to be glad she’s okay”. Freya smiled gracefully at him. “Anyway I believe you about the whole reincarnation thing, hit me with the details” he said looking serious. “Listen carefully. I’m sending you to another world to stop the demon lord” she said. “Okay, that makes sense I just have to defeat the… DEMON LORD!!” he screamed”. “Oh my, surprised?” she asked smiling with her mouth covering her mouth. “Of course I am.” he screamed. “Well that’s your goal” she said. “You’re telling a seventeen year old human to defeat the demon lord” he asked. “Exactly” she said while smiling with her eyes closed. “Listen here just because you're a goddess and somewhat beautiful doesn't mean you can give me a dangerous task like that. How the hell am I going to defeat a demon lord. That’s the most powerful being in all fantasy anime and remember, I got killed by a non-living thing, a truck” he said pissed off. “Of course, you’re right. After all I’m beautiful, charming, irresistible and attractive just like you said” she said feeling her self. “I never called you all that and why is it that part you are paying attention to” he snapped. “Anyway” she said looking serious. “She’s back. That was fast” he said to himself. She walked around the room for some time with a serious look on her face “follow me” she said. And began to climb the shining silver steps and went to one of the shelves there and brought out a book “look” she said. “I wonder what’s in that book she’s holding. It must be something important” he said to himself. “This book is not silver. So you’re wrong about everything being silver. Okay? “Who cares? How can you do something so pointless with a serious look on your face?” he said in a low tune. “Well, I’ve already told you what you need to do so get going” she said. “Wait a minute you haven’t tell me anything” he said. “I said to stop the demon lord didn’t I” “Um… yeah, but….. “What else is there to talk about. Oh yeah you’ll need a weapon. Go to the blacksmith he’ll give you one ” she said “Oh okay. Wait a minute……..” “Bye….. oh and don’t die again” she said then snapped her fingers making him disappear. Then all of a sudden he saw himself in a city. “This is just like any fantasy world I see in animes” he said looking around. The city of Arion is a beautiful place with a pleasant environment and a lot of people. “The weather sure is nice” he said. As ken was excitedly checking out the city he saw the blacksmith store. He entered inside and saw different types of weapons hanged to the wall “wow so many swords” he said. Then a man came to check who that was and saw Ken. "Oh welcome to....." "That's some weird outfit you're wearing" he said looking at Ken "Of course it will be weird in this world after all no one wears a hoodie with jeans on sneakers" he said to himself “Anyway I need a sword” he said. He looked at Ken and knew that he was a beginner “come with me” the man said. He took Ken to the shelf that swords for beginners were kept and gave one to him. Ken tried to explain that he does not have any money with him but the blacksmith let him off the hook since he was a beginner. “Thanks a lot....... Eren?” Ken said leaving the store. “The name is Aran kid” he said waving. In a situation like this the obvious thing to do is to join an adventurer’s guild and he knew that. He asked for directions and after some time he got to the city’s guild. The guild is a big building painted in brown with lot of adventurers drinking, chatting and brawling inside. “This reminds me of an anime I watched” he said to himself. “Hello...” Ken heard a voice and turned towards the direction only to see an attractive lady with beautiful long blonde hair that rest on her shoulders and bright brown eyes wearing a green gown holding a tray of drinks. “She's pretty” he said to himself. “You must be new here” she's said putting the tray of drinks on a table. “Yeah” he said. "Come this way" she said heading to the receptionist station and gave him a form to fill. Then she told him some things about the guild. “Ken Akatsuki uh…..” She said going through the form. “Oh my. Sorry for the late introduction. My name is Charlotte Vermillion. Nice to meet you” she said smiling. "So... You're the receptionist!" "Yes. Anytime you're going on a quest let me know okay" She noticed that Ken is a beginner so she told him that before he start going on jobs from the request board he’ll have to train in the labyrinth to get stronger. When he got inside he was quite amazed. “So this how the first floor look like” he said looking around. The first floor is known as “the savage land”. It’s a very wide place with a few trees and tall grasses. “If I remember correctly she said to go after the board since they're low ranking monsters” he said to himself. Suddenly he heard a noise from behind him and saw a small boar growling at him. As he was about to bring out his sword the small boar tried to pounce on him but avoided it and used his sword to s***h it on the back and it died instantly. “Ehhh… down in one strike. Aran’s sword is amazing” he said surprised. Few seconds later the boar’s corpse turned to smoke and disappeared but left a tusk behind. “A dropped item uh.” “I can’t still use magic….. Maybe no magic in this world. No there has to, if not that goddess wouldn’t tell me anything about the Demon Lord. Then why don’t I have magic. I’m the MC for crying out loud” he said loudly as he moved deeper inside the savage lands to kill more small boars. After some time he saw a boar that’s bigger than the ones he’s been slaying. “A big one uh…. He said as he charged towards it. The wild boar saw him coming and tried to use its tusks to stab him but avoided it and slide under the boar using his sword to slice its belly in the process. “Oh you’re still alive. But you can barely move. One more s***h will do it” he said pointing his sword at the wounded boar. “They aren’t so tough” he said as he picked the dropped item. After killing about ten more boars he decided to head back to the guild. On his way to the guild he sold all the dropped item to an item store. It was already five by the time Ken got to the guild. It was different than when he left earlier. This time they were more adventurers chatting, drinking and brawling inside “it sure gets lively at this time of the day” he said smiling. He saw Charlotte waving at him from one of the receptionist stations. As he was walking towards her he heard Aran calling him from behind. “Ah it’s just you Eren” he said as he turned back“ “Uh…... It’s just me my ass. And who the hell is Eren, I’m Aran damn it” he said while pulling Ken’s ears. “My bad” he said trying to break free. “Oh my. It’s good to see you guys having fun together.” Charlotte said as she walked towards them. “Ah…. Miss Charlotte.” Ken said escaping Aran’s clutches. “Uh!! Ken how did you get to know this terrifying woman.” He asked with a low voice “Oh my. Did you say something Aran.” She asked smiling with her eyes closed. “Oh yeah. I just remembered I have work to do. Later Ken.” He said as he ran out of the guild. “He ran away” Ken said looking confused. “Oh my. Seems like he's in a hurry” she's said still smiling. Ken told her how it went in the labyrinth. “You took down a Wild Boar by yourself? Even though you’re a beginner.” She asked surprised. “Yeah. Though it wasn’t easy slaying about ten of them.” “Ten? That’s impressive.” she said. Anyway it’s getting late. See you tomorrow.” He said walking out of the guild. “Wait a minute. Ken I taught you just came to this city today.” She asked. “So……..” He said looking confused. “Well…. Just wondering if you have a place to stay?” She asked. “I FORGOT!!” he screamed with his hands on his head just realizing it. ”Alright. There’s no other choice. Let’s go find you a place to stay” she's said trying hard not to laugh too much. They finally found a suitable place after checking all the available houses. It’s a small house with a living room, kitchen, a bathroom and two bedrooms. It’s spacious outside with a tree at the edge of the compound surrounded by a small fence. It was already thirty minutes past seven when they finished the arrangements of the house; apparently they got help from some guys at the guild. Then Charlotte bought refreshments and they left. "Thanks for today" Ken said. "Don't worry about that" “Oh it’s getting late. Goodnight” she said as she left. “Goodnight” he said as he went inside. “Well is about time I head back” she said smiling while tossing a black wallet up and down. Meanwhile, Aran was about to go to the pub to get some drinks. But couldn’t find his wallet. He asked his workers but they didn’t know. “s**t! I must have left it at the guild.” He said biting his finger. “This is bad. I have to find it before that demon…..” “Good day to you Aran. How are you doing” Charlotte greeted as she let herself in. “Ahhhhhh!!” He shrieked. Then calmed down a bit. “Yo…. Charlotte. How can I help you?” He said trying to act cool in front of his workers. “Oh nothing much. I just dropped by to return your wallet. Earlier you dropped it at the guild” she said. Then one of his workers cuts in. “See boss, she’s nice as usual, I don’t know why you always call her a dem……” “Be quiet” Aran cuts in as he used his hand to cover his mouth. “Oh my, what was that?” she asked eyes closed, smiling with her hand covering her mouth. “Nothing, just let me have my wallet back” he said trying to change the subject. “Sure here you go.” She said handing it over to him. “I know it’s empty, I’m sure it is. Please don’t be empty. ” He said to himself as he collected it. “I KNEW IT!!” he said loudly with his two hands on his head. “Oh my. You look troubled Aran. Any problem?” She asked. “Hey Charlotte it’s empty.” He said shaking the wallet. “Ah I see.” She said. “I see' my ass. Why the hell is it empty” he asked going red. It was quiet for some time until Charlotte broke it. “Oh my you’re such a comedian Aran, all I did was accepted it when you gave it to me this evening.” She said smiling with her eyes closed. “Uh!!! I don’t remember giving it to you and why the hell did it take you about fifteen seconds to answer me?” he asked. “Oh Aran, you’re so good at math.” She said taking a sword from one of the shelves. “Who cares about that and put the sword down” he said loudly. “Hmmm you’re no fun.” She pouted putting it down. “Yeah boss she's just looking at it” said one of his boys. “You shut the hell up” Aran said to him. “Anyway, its about time I head back. Goodnight everyone, see you tomorrow.” She waved as she left. “Goodnight” they said waving. “That shitty woman…….” he said clinching his fist. “Calm down boss she's a nice person, you’re over reacting” said one of his workers. “Yeah, didn’t you give it to her in the first place?” said another one “Like hell I did!!”
