#2. To jura mountains

The time has come for Ken to start going on jobs after almost two weeks of slaying monsters in the labyrinth.
On his way to the guild, he saw three guys trying to hit on a girl and noticed that she was not comfortable with it.
He was hesitant at first but decided to help.
“Hey!! You guys, cut it out!” He said walking towards them.
“Uh…. Got a problem with us? Can’t you see we’re busy?” Said one of the guys. “Get lost!” He added.
“Good grief. Aren’t you the ones that supposed to get lost? Can’t you see she wants no part in you guys.” He said moving closer.
“What was that? You want an ass whooping?” he said.
“Think you can do that uh?” Ken said with a smug look on his face.
“You’re gonna regret this buddy” he said to Ken clenching his fist.
“Let’s get him!!” the other two said as they rushed towards him.
They were about to attack Ken but suddenly lost sight of him. Only to find out that he was standing next to the girl.
“Don’t worry, I’ll handle these guys” he said to her.
“T-Thanks. I’ll leave them to you then.” She said as she stepped back.
“When did he get there?” said one of them looking confused
“Don’t mess with us you nimble bastard!” he said trying to punch Ken.
“He he he…… Calm down man.” Ken said as he evaded it and moved swiftly behind him and hit his back his elbow then took the girl’s hand and flee.
“Let’s get out of here. Wouldn’t want to cause a scene” he said holding her hand still running
“Yeah” she said wondering who on Earth this guy is.
“We’ve run pretty far, I think we’ve lost them” she said panting.
“Yeah. Oh yeah, I got something to do.” He just remembered.
“I’m in a hurry, gotta go. Be careful not to run into more weirdos!” He said as he left.
He got to the guild, but this time they were few adventurers inside. Most of them were either on a quest or in the labyrinth.
He went to where Charlotte was "oh hey Ken. Here, this is one of the easiest one that even a newbie can pull off" she said as she handed him a quest from the request board that says ”stop bandits”
“Bandits? As in robbers?” He asked.
“Yeah a group of bandits led by the infamous twins: Nel and Zel. They go to small villages and plunder the villagers. The confusing part is that anyone that has gone after them always end up loosing them”
“Fortunately, the knights in charge of the case located their hideout. It’s in Mount Jura.” She added.
“You got that…….. Silver?” She asked.
“Uh!” Said a confused Ken.
Then a girl about the same age as Ken with bright blue eyes and silver hair wearing a short sky blue gown walked inside the guild.
“Yeah. All of it” she answered. Charlotte let out a smile of satisfactory.
“But how do you know I was eavesdropping. I taught I will finally be able to sneak up on you!” She said pouting.
“You have to try harder than that if you want to best me.” Charlotte said smiling.
“Oh yeah! Ken this is Silver, she’ll accompany you on this quest”
“Nice to meet………. Wait you’re the guy from before!” She said surprised.
“Yeah. You’re the girl those guys were troubling!” He said, also surprised.
“Oh my, you guys already know each other?”
“Yeah. I met her on the way here.” he answered.
“I see, that’s good to hear” she said smiling.
“Alright! I’ve told you everything you need to know. I’m going to report this to the guild master.” She said as she left.
“Hey Ken, come with me for a bit” she said as she took him to a nearby restaurant.
“Um…… shouldn’t we be heading to the place?” he asked.
“Come on…. It’s still morning and if we’re dealing with bandits, it’s better to go during sun down”
“That’s true but…. Why did you bring me here?”
“Well I’ve not gotten to eat anything today and I want to thank you for helping me out earlier”
“Oh that. There’s no need to….” He got cut of by the sound of his growling stomach.
She chuckled “the timing couldn’t be more accurate” he said in sarcastically.
“Well, guess I’ll have something to eat too” he said as he signaled the waitress.
As soon as they got out of the restaurant they left for the bandits hideout on Mount Jura.
They got there and saw the place was empty, as they were about to set some traps they heard voices and hid behind a big rock.
“They’re earlier than expected” she said surprised
“So what’s the plan” she asked peeping at the bandits.
"Well let's...."
"Hey what are you guys doing there" said one of the bandits.
"Tch. They've spotted us"
"We've got no choice" he said as he unsheathed his sword.
The bandits were surprised that their hideout has been found out.
"Hey how did you guys find this place" one of the bandits yelled but no response.
"Ignoring us uh"
“You guys want to die that badly? Asked one of the bandits.
“Coz if you are then, you’re in the right place” he added as he charged towards Ken but was blown away by a sudden rushing wind.
“He’s not alone, I’m here too” Silver said as she got next to Ken.
“Alright!! Let’s do this” Ken said in excitement.
Ken and Silver were having the upper hand as expected.
“You guys are just too weak” Ken said.
Silver saw Ken fighting and she was amazed that he’s fighting that many people without using magic.
The brawl finally ended with all the bandits taking out. Suddenly they heard someone laughing loudly.
Only to see two guys on top of the roof dressed in all black with a white matching bandana.
“Oho it’s about time you guys showed up: Zel and Nel” said silver looking serious.
“We’re going to get you guys to return or the things you plundered” she added.
Suddenly Nel and Zel burst into laughter. “what can two kids do against us…. Don’t make me laugh” Nel said laughing hard.
“Although you’re already laughing” Ken said.
“Hey big bro Nel why don’t we show them how good we are at babysitting” said Zel.
“Of course big bro Zel” said Nel as they charged towards them.
“They’re coming” said Silver.
“So both of them are the big brothers” Ken said with a poker face.
“I’ll take the girl” said Nel.
“Don’t go overboard big bro Nel. So we can have fun with her later”
“Naturally, big bro Zel”
“I’m going to put an end to you bandits for good” said Silver to Nel.
“We'll see about that"
“I wonder where they hide all the stuff they stole” Ken said looking around.
“Hey!! You’re pretty confident to be looking away” Zel said as he charged to punch him but Ken avoided it easily.
“Oho you’re pretty good” said Zel.
“What are you talking about. That was too predictable, anyone could have avoided that”
“I see…. Then how about fighting someone you can’t see” Zel said as he turned himself invisible.
“What the…..” Ken said surprised
“He disappeared” Silver said also surprised.
“Looks like big bro is serious. Then guess I’ll get into it too” said Nel.
