Episode 8 Alexander’s POV

702 Words
I had made my way back to the lake later that afternoon and must have fell asleep because when I awoke it was dark. The moon was out and the water was so soothing I just continued to lay there until I heard something running threw the woods it was fast approaching, more then likely a wolf so I duck behind one of the rocks and hide. I hear bones cracking, “it must be shifting into their human form” I think to myself. Then I hear them splashing the water so I peak out from behind the rock in hiding behind to possibly see and realize it’s a woman so I avert my eyes until all, but her head is submerged in the water out of respect for her. I realize it’s her. What are the chances that I see her twice in one day? I have to talk to her, this is a sign isn’t it? But she’s no decent, what if she takes offense? While I’m contimplating with myself she breaches the water at a speed that almost startles me “Did you enjoy the show!?” I hear her yell into the night and realize she’s sensed I’m here I hope she doesn’t think I’m a creep. I hold my hands up in mock surrender and come out from behind the rock I was hiding behind. “My deepest apologies Ms, I had fallen asleep and when I awoke I heard your wolf approaching so I hid. It was not my intention to spy on you.” I say to her. She watches my every move as she treads water no doubt she’s planning she’s trying to get a read on me to decide her next move. “I have never seen you here before Vampire.” She responds. I take a step closer to the shore and notice she backs up in the water keeping the distance, understandably so. “I actually come here often I’m surprised you haven’t. I flash my most dashing smile “and the names Alexander but all my friends call me Alex.” “Well Alexander..” she emphasizes the der portion of my name. “I have never seen you here before therefore you are still stranger and a Vampire at that.” “Yes I am, but aren’t our communities allies are they not? So why can’t we be friends?” With that last question She studies me. Gods she is beautiful, I have this urge to be near her. I find myself taking another step toward the water and notice this time she doesn’t back away. Maybe she feels the pull too? “Well Alexander..” “Alex” I cut her off. “It’s getting late and I have to get home.” She tells me “well it was nice meeting you..” I reach out a hand to signal her for her name “I’m not telling you my name just yet” she says and I almost hear a chuckle. “So you’re telling me there’s a possibility that we’ll meet again?..” “We’ll see, Alexander.” She says with a tone that is final. She stares at me and then makes a motion with her finger for me to turn around and I get the hint “Oh sorry!” I turn around and I hear her coming out of the water and hear her foot steps. “Don’t worry I’m sure Lily won’t bite you.. maybe.” she whispers over my shoulder and I almost jump at the closeness and realize she’s talking about her wolf. By time I’ve turned she’s already shifted and her wolf is almost taller then me. “She’s beautiful..” I didn’t realize I say out loud and what I’ve come to know is her name Lily huffs an approval and raises her hind and starts to wag her tail?.. “Do you.. want to play?” And she barks I’m assuming “is that a yes?” She barks twice “I’ll take that as a yes!” I bob and weave her as she pounces so I take off running and she chases me.
