4 April 1692, Monday I have never been prone to nightmares. I have never given credence to the Invisible World despite those who believe in magick, spells, and Specters. I have never been one to see Shadows in the corners, and I have never heard Whisperings in the night. I have never been suspicious of Unseen Forces which others dread with mortal fear. I have accepted life, and everything in it, the way I have found it—natural causes and all. Father says tis my book learning that prompts me to think such ways, but what else is knowledge for but to question and challenge?
