Mr. Rivers broke through the crowd with several bodyguards. The bodyguards escorted Joan to the car parked on the side of the road.
"Miss Hurley, I hate to say this, but Mr. Dinkins doesn't like trouble." Mr. Rivers looked serious after escorting Joan into the car.
"He promised to solve the troubles for me, didn't he?" Joan smiled lightly, closed her eyes, and said.
Mr. Rivers could only keep silent at this time.
"Do you have your passport with you? Let's go visit the County Clerk to get the marriage certificate, go get dressed at the bridal shop, and then go to the church for the wedding," Mr. Rivers said.
"Get the marriage certificate? Just you and me? He's not coming?" Joan's face changed slightly.
"Mr. Dinkins has been very busy. You can just sign your name later, and I will take care of the follow-up matters," explained Mr. Rivers respectfully.
"Oh, okay. Sounds fine." Joan breathed a sigh of relief.Anyway, it didn't matter how Joan wanted to do this, and she might as well follow their schedule.
Besides, Joan had nothing to lose right now.
When Joan was wearing a graceful white wedding dress, standing on the lawn outside the church, she couldn't help but be extremely nervous, and she could hear the beat of her heart.
Joan tried to calm down and smiled, trying to make herself look elegant and natural.
Mr. Rivers led her, walking step by step along the red carpet. They walked through the flowers and the guest area and reached the end of the church.
Joan saw the stalwart man in a noble black suit waiting for her quietly.
The luxurious light of the chandelier in the church shone upon him as if a layer of golden light was passing through his body, dazzling her.
"Mr. Dinkins," said Mr. Rivers, stepping back.
Brian nodded, "Did you get the marriage certificate? Show me."
Mr. Rivers presented the certificate with both hands. Their photo was composited since Brian was not able to be there.
"We look good together," Brian smiled.
Hearing this, Joan trembled, and her face was slightly hot.
"Bring it here and let her sign it," Brian waved to the lawyer.
"Miss Hurley, this is a prenuptial agreement. Please sign on Party B." the lawyer immediately took out the prepared contract and pen and handed it to Joan.
Joan's eyes fell on the name of Party A. His handwriting was flying, very domineering, just like the way he was.
At this moment, Joan still felt that she was dreaming.
Will this man as great and perfect as a god really become my husband in the future? Joan thought about it while signing the agreement with sincerity.
"Come here," Brian held out his hand.
Joan gently put her hand on his, and the big warm palm made Joan feel a sense of security.
"I heard that you went to your ex at the company today?" said Brian indifferently as they walked to the priest.
"Just happened to pass by," Joan's body shuddered.
"Don't go meet any man in private in the future, especially your so-called ex-boyfriend. As for the shares of the Hurley corporation, you don't have to worry about that. I will let them return it, kneeling and begging for mercy with the humblest attitude," Brian glanced at her.
"I hope you do what you say," said Joan slowly, staring into his eyes.
Brian smiled, "Wish us a happy cooperation."
After the priest finished the oath, Brian and Joan said Yes, I do., and they exchanged wedding rings.
"Congratulations! You are now husband and wife legitimately. Mr. Dinkins, you may now kiss the bride." the priest announced with a smile.
What? Kiss the bride? Do we have to KISS? Joan was instantly petrified.
Seeing that the bride was not standing still, Brian lifted Joan's veil, reached out, and gently caressed her cold cheek.
"Why? Regret marrying me?" asked Brian.
"No," the strange feeling made Joan blush.
"Marrying me is your best choice right now," Brian smiled lightly, raised her chin slightly, and looked at her beautiful eyes.
"I know, because you promised me a high salary and benefits," said Joan.
Brian's fingers trembled, and then he kissed her lips without hesitation. Joan gritted her teeth nervously. Fortunately, Brian left her lips after just a few seconds. Everything was just a show.
Immediately, the applause from Brian's subordinates and servants was thunderous and lasted for a long while.
"Congratulations!"
"Wish you happiness all the time!"
"Mrs. Dinkins, Mr. Dinkins is very energetic, be careful in bed."
Joan felt so awkward with their teasing. They congratulated her with checks in her hands one after another. Joan looked blank, holding a thick stack of money.
Joan never thought that she would receive so much money as marriage gifts. She may just become a millionaire in seconds!
"Not used to this kind of occasion?" Joan was slightly uncomfortable about this. Brian looked at her and asked.
"This is my first marriage," Joan looked at him.
Do I need to get used to a wedding? Joan was a bit confused.
"I'm asking if you're not comfortable with being Mrs. Dinkins?" Brian frowned slightly.
Joan misunderstood it, and she was a little embarrassed.
"Yes, a little," She blushed and lowered her head.
"Then you'd better get used to the fact that you are MY woman." said Brian, walking into the crowd.
The wedding scene at night was spectacular. The seven-star high-end hotel was full of flowers, red wine, cakes, and delicacies.
Brian gave Joan soft drinks, or Joan would be drunk long ago.
Because the wedding was confidential, only a few of Brian's most trusted clients and subordinates and servants were involved.
Before participating in the wedding, each guest signed a non-disclosure agreement that would be pursued and subject to significant compensation if the relationship was leaked.

When she got back to Brian's residence, it was already 10pm. Brian had to stay for some important guests and he asked the driver to take Joan back home first.
