I woke up again early this morning. But this time it was intentional. I got up and got dressed in some brown shorts, brown boots and a green shirt and headed outside.
I happily skipped over to the garden and looked around.
"No sign of him..." I thought kind of disappointed.
I walked into the wheat fields. I arrived at the spot I saw John at yesterday but he wasn't there. I sighed.
"Guess he's busy today?"
I turned around and immediately fell to my feet. John scared me and made me fall. He was just standing there.
"Why is everyone trying to scare me!" I whined sort of like a baby.
John laughed. "Sorry, I was going to surprise you but I guess I scared you instead..." He said.
He offered me a hand to get up and I gladly took it and got to my feet. Though I noticed that he had tools with him this time in his pockets.
"What are those?" I ask pointing to them.
"Oh these? These are sickles. Im actually glad your here because I need your help with something." He said.
"And what would that be?"
"I need help harvesting the wheat. I had started yesterday but didn't finish." He explained.
I kind of got disappointed at the thought. I was hoping that this could be our spot to hang out in.
John noticed that I got disappointed.
"Oh don't worry! I have more secret spots around here we can hang out in." He reassured me.
"Ooo~ really?" I asked.
"Yeah. In fact after we're done here I can show you." He said.
"You have yourself a deal!" I shouted excitedly.
He smiled. I don't know why but everytime he does it makes me blush.
"Great. You'll need this." He said handing me the sickle.
"Thanks, now lets get to work!"

John POV
I really cannot believe how adorable Spade is... I have heard that I am not the type to show much emotion, but when Im with her I can't help but to smile...
"Thanks, now lets get to work!" She said raising a fist in the air.
I laughed at the sight.
"But first, do you know how to harvest it?" I ask raising a brow.
She pouted. "Of course, Im not dumb..." She said.
"Then explain to me how you do it." I said crossing my arms.
She paused. "Uh- well first you cut it and then you..." She trailed off.
I laughed. "How can you not know how to harvest wheat?" I ask her.
She looked away. "Well maybe if you teach me then i'll know..." She mumbled.
I smiled and walked over to a stalk of wheat. I cut it and held it in front of me. I then ran the head of the wheat through my fist to separate the wheat berries, and I showed her.
She walked over and looked at them. "Oooh so that's what those are..." She said.
I chuckled and reached into my pocket and pulled out a leather bag.
"Here, put the wheat berries in here." I told her.
"Got it!" She shouted. And we got to work.
We cut the wheat stalks on our own, but once in a while she would poke me with one.
"What are you doing?" I ask her.
Im on my knees cutting and she's bent over beside me poking me with a wheat head.
"Nothing~" she said still poking me.
I sigh. I cut my own and start poking her with it.
"Ouch." She says.
"Yeah, they're pointy. Now you know how it feels..." I said.
"Touché." She said getting back to work.

Once we were done, Spade was lying on the floor like a drama queen.
"What are you doing?" I ask looking down at her.
"Im tiiiired." She whined.
I chuckled. "To bad... And I really wanted to show you something cool..." I said playfully.
She sat up quickly. "Show me!" She exclaimed.
"Well I would if you could get up... Guess I have to carry you." I said shaking my head.
"Wait what-"
I didn't let her finish speaking before I picked her up bridal style.
The best part was that I got to see how flustered she got.
"Cute..." I thought.
I started to walk out of the village and into the forest. It was a good twenty minute walk away so an idea popped into my head.
"Hey Spade. Hold on tight ok?" I told her.
"Huh? What do you-"
I started to run through the forest, I run faster than normal. I told her to hold on...
She wrapped her hands around my neck and buried her face into my shoulder.
"You i***t! Slow down!" She shouted.
"Don't worry, we'll be there in no time!" I reassured her.
After a few minutes I started to slow my pace. And then I came to a complete stop.
I looked down and Spades face was still buried into my shoulder.

Spade POV
"We're here." I heard John say.
I put my hands on his shoulders to look up and see where we are, but instead I was met with his eyes. I never realized before how pretty his eyes were.
"Are you ok?" He asked.
"O-oh! Yeah Im fine..." I say.
John sets me down and I look around. A familiar breeze hits my face, and that's when I realized where we are.
The forest is behind us so it's just green grass below us. But beyond me I see the sea. It shimmered in the sunlight making it even more beautiful.
I walk towards it but once I got passed a certain point, John ran after me and set a hand on my shoulder to stop me.
I looked at him confused on why he stopped me. His hand found mine and he led me towards where I was walking to in the first place. But when we stopped I realized why he stopped me in the first place.
There was a cliff. We are standing on the edge of a cliff hanging over the beach. If I would have kept walking I would have walked right off of the edge.
"Heh, thanks...." I said shyly.
"No problem. Pretty isn't it?"
"Very! How come the others don't know about this place?"
"They don't know because they never really bothered going in this direction to exit the forest. That's also why they don't know about the beach below us." He explained.
"Ah, I see." I said nodding.
We both looked back over the edge and just enjoyed each other's company after that.
