Setting- Fields and Forest

Our pace slowed as it was getting dark outside. And I couldn't keep my eyes off of the sky. Ben was ahead of me and noticed that I commanded my horse to stop.
"Are you ok?" He asked confused on why I stopped.
"Never been better, this is the first time being actually outside. Outside of the wall and outside of the castle." I say looking up into the night sky in awe, completely breath taken.
Ben chuckled. "I guess we can make camp here for tonight. I don't sense any danger." He said looking around.
We are currently in a large open field with green grass. Though there was a forest nearby. Ben and I got off of our horses and tied them up to a fence post.
He started to set up the tent's we packed and I set up the camp fire. Problem was, I had no wood.
My attention turned to the nearby forest. "Hey Ben, I got to go get some firewood. I'll be back."
"Okay, be safe!" He warned.
I went in my backpack and grabbed my axe and headed off.
Once I got into the forest I got my axe ready. I swung to chop down a tree but I halted
I heard something nearby. "A voice?" I thought. "We are in the middle of no where. Why is someone out here?"
I followed where the sound was coming from. As It was getting more clear I peaked from behind a tree to see what it was.
I saw a man. He is tall and built. He has white skin and dark brown hair with some tied in a ponytail. He has sky blue, narrow eyes. He was wearing a white short sleeve shirt and blue jeans.
I shifted to get a closer look, but I stepped on a twig. I quickly hid behind the tree as I saw him turn his attention towards the sound.
Even though I couldn't see him, I felt his eyes bore into the back of the tree.
"Who's there?" He said in a cold, questioning tone.
I didn't say anything. His voice sounds so scary and I felt my heart beat quicken. I covered my mouth afraid I would let out a shaky breath.
I didn't hear anything after that. I peaked again and I saw him leaving. Once he left I picked up my axe and walked over to the tree he was chopping down and finished his job. Once I collected all the wood I was about to leave when I noticed something on the ground.
"A hair pin?" I wondered as I picked it up. It was a glass leaf with a pin on it. It seemed to glow purple when I touched it. "It must have belonged to him..." I said. I shrugged it off and put it in my pocket.
I returned from the forest and started the fire. "Hey Ben, I have news." I said finally.
"What is it?" He asked.
"First, can I see your map?" I asked. He had brought a map so we can pin point where we are at all times.
"Uh yeah sure." He said as he grabbed it out of his bag and handed it to me.
I took it and opened it. I gestured for him to sit next to me on the ground. And he did.
The map showed four destinations. Three of them were major villages. And the fourth was the kingdom of Aurum.
Ben pointed to a place between Ancienla and Captiosus. "We are probably here." He stated.
I thought for a moment. That man didn't need to be in the forest if he lived in these villages. From what I know Ancienla is surrounded by nature and magic. So if he lived there he probably wouldn't need to go out for wood.
And I have visited Captiosus before. That place is filled with machinery and gears. If you lived there, there would be no reason for needing wood because you would just be working with gears.
"Spade are you alright?" Ben asked. I guess I spaced out for a moment there.
"Yeah. I was just thinking-"
"Did something happen? Did you get attacked!? Let me see!" He frantically asked as he grabbed my arm to look for any wounds.
"No, Im fine. I didn't get attacked." I reassured him.
"O-oh. Ok." He said as he let go of my arm. "Then what did happen?"
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
"A man?" He repeated.
I had just explained what happened in the forest.
"Yeah. I thought that no one would be out here. Especially at this time of night." I told him.
He thought for a moment. "He might live in the nearby villages." He said.
"I highly doubt it. If he lived in Ancienla he wouldn't need to go outside for wood. And if he lived in Captiosus he wouldn't need wood at all." I said doubtfully.
"Yes, this is true..." He said.
"Ben, is it possible that there could be another village. One that we don't know about?" I asked intrigued.
"Possibly. We'll think about it tomorrow. It's getting late." He said looking up at the star filled sky.
"Yeah, your right." I admitted as I crawled into my tent.
Ben put out the fire and did the same. "Goodnight." He said.
"Goodnight."

Ben POV
I slowly wake up because of the early morning sunlight peaking through. I sit up and yawn. I notice that the sun isn't the only reason im awake. I hear a song being sung outside. I quietly crawl out of my tent to figure out where the sound is coming from.
I see Spade sitting criss-cross on the ground with something in her hand. I don't know what is is but that wasn't my main focus. My main focus is how beautiful the song is. I sit behind her, and close my eyes to fully enjoy it.

"That was beautiful." I say once she finishes.
"Eh!?" She says as she turns around to see me sitting there. She was blushing. It was faint but I could still see it.
"You heard me?" She asks embarrassed.
"I did. Did you make that song?" I wonder.
"Yeah, That's kind of why it's so short." She said shyly.
I smile, but my smile is quickly replaced with a look of confusion.
"What's that?" I ask pointing to the thing she's holding.
"Oh, this?" She says holding it up. It's a glass leaf glowing a mixture of pink and light yellow.
"I found it at the same place I saw the man."
"So it belonged to him." I assumed.
"Yeah. So about yesterday, I think we should get moving. If there really is another hidden village. I want to find it." She said with determination.
Then, I heard a low grumble. Spade looked down.
"Right after I eat something..." She mumbled rubbing the back of her neck in embarrassment.
I reached for my bag and got an apple out of it. I tossed it to her and got one for myself.
She stared at it for a second. Like it was missing something.
"Oh I know!" I said as I reached into my bag again. This time I pulled out a jar of honey.
Her eyes seemed to sparkle. I know Spade. And I also know that if she ever eats fruit. She is most likely going to eat it with honey to make it even sweeter. She loves sweets.

Spade POV
After we ate, we decided to pack everything up and start traveling again. We eventually got out of the field and into more forest like terrain. But it was spread out so for the horses it was easy.
"Hey Ben, where are we now?" I ask.
He pulls out map and studies it. "We are close to Fieodern. Should we stop there to restock?"
We have been traveling for a while. This makes day two I think. And it would give us a chance to get a more of a variety of food.
"Yeah, it wouldn't hurt as long as we stay out of sight." I said.
