CHAPTER 21
Don walked into the kitchen as Kate was hanging up the phone. He leaned in to kiss his wife, “Who called?”
“I was talking to Mom. I wanted to check on things and let her know we were coming home tomorrow. She informed me there is no need to rush back. Dani handles the kitchen like a pro and has developed a good working relationship with Luke. Mom doesn’t think we need to keep looking for a cook either, so basically I’m not needed.”
Don gathered her in his arms and nuzzled her neck. “I need you,” he murmured.
Kate laughed. “We need breakfast. I still want to go home tomorrow to check for myself. Is that alright with you? Maybe we could have the family for dinner, and if things are really as good as it sounds, pack up some more stuff and then the next trip here we’ll stay long
