A sleepless night

Eber listened in silence.

Samanta began to worry too much while Chloe kept telling her that the end of the world would come soon, poor Samanta began to believe the lie more and more until she almost started to cry, it was at that moment that Chloe could no longer hold the urge to laugh and told the truth.

Then I told him about the two visions he had had and how he thought he could be in danger in the future, he also told him what he had investigated about Dorian Drum and Julia Johnson, which was not much, the information that was found on the internet It was of no use to him, there was only gossip, scandals, and trivial matters, the personal information he needed was nowhere to be seen.

Despite that, she believed that what she had found could be useful to her.

— You must be careful Samantha, I think you have to stay away from those people, especially that man named Dorian Drum. — Said Eber

— Getting away from them will not work, the best I can do now is prepare for what is to come. — Chloe said

— I feel the same as my brother, that man named Dorian Drum sounds dangerous, the fact that he will point a g*n at you and shoot you, see how you see it, it seems to me that he is someone you should not approach. — Samanta said

Eber did not respond and retired to her room, shortly after he returned with a necklace that had a key and a small padlock.

If you are in danger, no matter where you are or how dangerous it is, I will come to save you. Chloe promises me that if something happens to you, you'll set off the alarm. — Said Eber

Chloe was surprised, she didn't expect Eber to bring up something like that, besides his word... This blond boy sometimes said very compromising things...

— Thanks Eber, I promise you. — Chloe answered as she looked him in the eye

They both stared at each other for a while until Eber looked away and changed the subject.

The three of them talked about various things for a while, until Chloe returned to her apartment.

Back in her room, lying on her bed she thought about everything that had happened.

Taking in her hands the necklace that Heber gave her, she played with it for a while, the key was very beautiful as well as the padlock, she after a while she got bored and she decided to put it on.

As she placed it she darkened her view, Chloe was having a vision again.

She was running through a forest, she looked desperate.

When she saw a person lying on the ground, she began to run faster until she reached it, when she got close enough she could see who she was and the state of the person.

It was Eber, he was seriously injured and covered in blood, he seemed to be about to die.

She tried to save him, tried to heal his wounds, but could not do it, his condition was too serious.

Seeing that she would die she began to cry apologizing to him.

Eber struggled to speak despite her condition, telling her that it wasn't her fault, that she will stop crying.

— Do not cry for me, I am fully responsible for what happened. — Said Eber

— Of course not, I should never have involved you in my problems. — Chloe respond

— With time you will understand that it is not your fault Chloe, so she stops crying, you will be fine. — Said Eber

Chloe kept crying, she didn't understand what Eber meant.

— Believe me, when I tell you that I don't want to see you like that, the thing I least want to see is your face covered in tears. — Eber said

Chloe made an effort to calm herself and stopped crying.

Eber walked over to Chloe and hugged her with what little strength he had left.

Eber closed his eyes, he was very cold, he knew that he would die soon.

They were so soft that Chloe couldn't hear her words, only the vision Chloe knew what words she had said.

More Chloe realized that she was surprised by what she had said.

Eber then stopped breathing.

The vision ended there bringing Chloe back to reality.

Chloe was shocked.

She didn't know what to think about what she had seen.

She seemed to feel worse for having a vision where Eber died than for those where her life was threatened.

Reacting, she promptly removed the necklace she had put on.

With the necklace in her hand, she looked at him in disbelief, disdain, and a little panic.

‘This necklace must be cursed, as long as I don’t wear it, probably nothing will happen to Eber.’ — Chloe thought

Putting it in a drawer, she decided that she would never activate the alarm it contained, she would forget that the necklace existed.

She might die while she tried to go on living, but she couldn't live with the awareness that Eber had died because of her.

Chloe then tried to fall asleep, but even though she was dead from exhaustion, her mind did not leave her calm.

She couldn't stop thinking about Eber's death, she wondered what Eber had told her before she died.

She had many unanswered questions.

What was Eber referring to when she said it wasn't his fault that he died?

Also, who left Eber in such a state? Was he the man in the raven mask?

As if it wasn't enough, the memories of the other two visions were also repeating in her mind, she was trying to find coincidences between the three visions.

She was thinking of the nice but seemingly dangerous Dorian Drum, Julia Johnson, and what the hell would happen to make them end up in such a terrible situation together.

She imagined how Samantha would feel if her brother died, as well as everything she would have to do from now on if she wanted to change the future.

All of these things frustrated her sleep, preventing her from sleeping in peace.
