To the perfection.

Amelia couldn't believe her own eyes. The girl was looking at her reflection in the mirror. Her body was not thin and fragile anymore. The woman before her was still petite, but she had gained some weight and more essential muscles. Her hair was healthy and shiny, and there were no bruises except the one she got from her training, but those were fading quickly thanks to the werewolf healing, which was now on full blow. The most important thing is that she felt more substantial. Her training became more complex. They always started with laps, then a session, but now it was combined with fighting training. Amelia was not ready to train with Sebastian, so she used punching bags and a mannequin. What was torture at the beginning became fun, and now she was looking for another training. Sebastian was a very demanding teacher, but all that was giving outstanding results in the end. Their lessons were a mix of training, joke, and funny stories from his life, which he was willing to share with her. They were growing close and closer to each other. Sebastian was like a brother to her. After five minutes of looking at her reflection, she heard him calling her. - Amelia, breakfast is ready. Are you coming? If not, I am going to eat all by myself. Knowing Alice's excellent cooking skills, the girl hurried to the kitchen, where she saw pancakes, bacon, and toast waiting for her. - I knew you wouldn't miss such a portion of fantastic food. - Sebastian was grinning. - I need the strength to kick your ass any day now.- Amelia quickly said, digging into her food. -You are like kids, both of you. - Alice said, entering the kitchen. She was holding a basket which meant that she was going to the forest. - Is your herbs collection not big enough? - Sebastian asked. - Say what you want, but sooner or later, you will come to me begging for my healing potions or creams on your wounds. - Witch waved her hand at him and got her coat, taking her leave. - She is very dedicated to her work. - Amelia said when Alice left her home. - Just like her mother. - Sebastian quickly replied between bites of his food. -You know her mother? - She had never seen anyone else in here besides Alice and Sebastian. - No, but I know she was a great healed, very talented. They both lived in Crescent Moon Pack when Alice was a child. It has been a long time ago. - It sounds like it was ages ago. So her mother still lives there? - No, she had to leave that pack many years ago. I don't know where she is now. I think only Alice can answer that question, not me. - Why it still sounds like it happened long before we were born? - Because it was. That is why I can't say how much of that is actually true. - Sebastian said like it was nothing to him. - Wait a minute! So how old is Alice? She looks not much older than you. -Oh my Goddess! You are adorable! She is much, and I mean much, older than I am.- The man was laughing out loud right now. Amelia was a little confused, but he knew something she didn't. - I am glad I have amused you, but can you spill the beans and just tell me? - Now she was irritated. - I can, but I won't. She would kill me, and I value my life too much. So it is another question only Alice can answer. - What's a big deal? You will tell me I can keep a secret. - Girl was so excited. She has to know right now. - Honey, I am sure you can, but I really shouldn't. She doesn't want people to know her actual age. Women thing, I guess. - Sebastian was adamant. - Please ... - Amelia was making the best puppy eyes she could. - Baby, it will not work. I invented puppy eyes. - He was making fun of her. - Whatever. - She finally gave up. - But at least you can tell me what happened. Why they left Crescent Moon Pack? - The girl decided she would ask Alice about her age. - I have heard only rumors. Not many people in the pack remember what happened, and probably most of those things were just made up. - Sebastian said quietly. - Alice's mother, Reina, was a pack healer. She often helped Alpha Maximilian and his family making her potions. She was helping anyone who needed help. Just like Alice, she couldn't leave someone in need. Because of that, she was respected and loved by everyone, even if she wasn't a werewolf. They lived there for many years. But one day, she was called to the Beta's mate, who got ill. Reina was doing everything in her power, but it was for nothing, and this woman, sorry, I forgot her name, died. She was curing her for days, but nothing was working. After the death of his mate, Beta got crazy, and he accused Alice's mother of poisoning his mate and killing her. Everyone was trying to prove that she was innocent, she helped so many people, but Alpha took his Beta's side and banished them. Beta wanted him to kill Reina, but Alpha showed some mercy after so many years of her service. But like I said, those could be just a rumor. No one knows for sure. - After that, Alice's mother moved somewhere and probably is still helping people, and her daughter is living here. - Life is not sparing a single person. We all have skeletons in the wardrobe. - That was all that Amelia said after all. - I think that is enough sad stories for one day. Let's go. The training is waiting. - Sebastian was trying to distract the girl from her gloomy thoughts. - You are not going to drop this matter, are you? - Shadow asked in her head. - Not at all. Like you don't know me,- Amelia said, standing up to clean all dishes. - That's what I thought. - her wolf just shook her head. - Let's go, Sebastian- she said after cleaning. - I like your enthusiasm, girl. That is why I have a surprise for you. - He was so excited that Amelia felt a bit scared. - What kind of surprise? - She asked suspiciously. - You will see. First, let's start with 30 laps.- Sebastian was smiling at her. When they finished running, the girl started to look around. - Where are punching bags? - Here! - She looked at Sebastian, who was pointing to himself, grinning like a crazy wolf. - That is my surprise. I am going to be your punching bag, of course, if you will be able to land any punch on me. - Are you serious?- Amelia was now sure that it wasn't a pleasant surprise. - Yeah, there is no point in hitting a bag that does not move and won't hit you back. It would help if you had an opponent so that you could train your speed and ability to avoid his attacks, or it might hurt.- Sebastian explained. - He has a point. - Shadow was feeling excited too. What is wrong with you all? - Amelia asked her wolf. - There is the best practice you can get, so get ready. It is your chance to kick his ass. - Shadow chuckled. - OK, let's do this. - Amelia took her stance and got ready to fight. - Ladies first. - Sebastian was teasing her. It made the girl mad, so she started throwing punches and kicks at him, but as a well-trained warrior, he quickly dodged all of them, which frustrated her even more. - Are you even trying? - Sebastian was doing what he could to make her mad, and it was working. After another attempt, he quickly knocked her off her feet, and Amelia landed heavily on the ground. - Ouch!- she screamed, and for a second, her eyes shone amber. - Are you tired? - Sebastian had no mercy. - No way! Again! - Amelia jumped on her feet. They fought for another hour, and the girl could only hit him once, most of the time failing miserably. When the training was over, Amelia had a dozen of new bruises and cuts, which she made by herself, and the warrior looked like he didn't break any sweat, which made her mad and embarrassed at the same time. - How is it possible? - She was fuming. - Don't get mad. It was your first day. I did this to show you the difference between bags and real opponents. Now you must use your speed and strength against me. Everything will come with time. And now take a bath, and I will make dinner for all of us. After a shower, she felt better and was discussing her future training with Sebastian when Alice came back home. - For a Goddes's sake, Amelia, what happened to you? Sebastian, what have you done? - She glanced at the men. - Don't worry, I did all of that to myself.- the girl said, pointing to her body.- I was trying to punch Sebastian. - I see it worked perfectly. - Alice looked closer at her cuts, which were luckily already healing. - Use my cream- - Will do that, for sure. - Amelia decided not to hit around the bushes. - But I have some more important matters now. - And what is that? -Alice asked, suspecting what was going to happen next. - How old are you? And what is your story? - That is your question? Sebastian, please make us all those delicious spaghetti, I smelled from the door, and we can have a decent conversation. - What?? She just asked, and that's all? - Man was perplexed. - What's the matter? She asked, and I was going to give her an answer. And now please hurry up, because I am starving. -Women- Sebastian mumbled and went to the kitchen.
