Look back at the past...

-I was an orphan in the pack. Amelia started her story, clenching her plans on the cup she held. Her eyes were clouded like she was rewatching her past life. Alice was listening carefully. Her tea was long forgotten in her hands. She could not take her eyes off the girl in front of her. - It was not even my pack.-Anelia continued, shrugging her arms.-I was found in the woods—the only survivor from a m******e between the wolves and rouges. It was a miracle, I think. I was just a little child. Is it still a mystery how I managed to survive when the others died? Luna Tania told me once that when they found me, I was lying next to the wolf with my hands dug in its fur. So I think whoever it was, this person was important to me, but I can't remember. They took me with them. I lived in an orphanage. Luna Tania was the only person who cared about me at the beginning.- Amelia raised her eyes to look at Alice. There was only sadness in them. -She was coming every day to visit.- The girl returned to her story. -Soon, I was waiting for those visits. Luna was a fantastic person. She was loving and caring. I felt like I was important to her. With time, Tania became a mother to me. She convinced Alpha to take me to a pack house. They were mates. He would do anything to make her happy. We started to be a family. Alpha was a lovely man dedicated to his pack and his mate. I was never close to him, but it didn't matter as long as Luna was with me.- Amelia paused and looked through the window like she was trying to remember good times. -Everything was going fine. I had a mother. I think she loved me. I was her Wild Flower, that is called me. She gave me my name. Maybe I had another before. I don't know. I like this one. We were close, like a real family. I was a child she didn't have but wished to have. -Amelia looked at Alice, sipped her tea, and spoke again. - I was happy for three years. I had a family and a place I have learned to call home. We had this little tradition. Every week, Luna was shifting into her beautiful wolf, Rose, and was taking me for a ride in the woods. I loved it. It was amazing to sit on her back and look at the forest surrounding us. For a girl like me, every ride was like a great adventure. We could spend hours like that. One day, we were on our little trip. It was beautiful weather, and everything seemed to be perfect. We had a picnic in the middle of the forest. When we were coming back, we were attacked by rouges. Luna noticed them when it was too late. She was telling me about a baby she was expecting. I was excited to have a sister or brother. - Amelia gave Alice a small smile, but soon her expression became darker. -They cornered us. Luna did everything to save me, but there were four of them. She killed two, but then one of them slashed her through her belly. She was bleeding so much. But she still managed to bite a neck of rouge. The last one escaped, probably hearing our warriors coming to help us. Tania shifted not long before she was gone. The last words of my Luna were, " Find him. He will take care of you." Then she died, along with her unborn baby. - Find who?- These were the first words Alice said since Amelia started her story. - At the moment, as the naive child I was, I thought she meant Alpha. - When he finally arrived, he was devastated. It was like a back to the past. Dead wolves and me, only one survivor. Only this time, his Luna was one of the dead. I tried to run to him and tell him what happened. But I stopped when I saw his eyes. Even as a child, I recognized hatred in them. - It is all your fault!!- He was shouting. I couldn't understand why he was mad at me. I did nothing. - Amelia looked at Alice like she was waiting for confirmation. - You were a child. There was nothing you could do. The girl nodded before speaking again. -They took me to the pack and closed me in the dark room. I was scared of the dark, so I cried and screamed, but no one came. Finally, I fell asleep. The next day, they took me to the Alpha. He looked like he lost his mind. His office was a total mess, and everything was destroyed. He told me again that I was responsible for Luna's and his baby's death. Alpha promised I would pay for what I did. - The girl turned her head away. Alice waited patiently, giving her the time she needed. Soon, Amelia spoke again -And he kept his promise. Since that day, my life has been going downhill. He forced me to work in the packhouse. No one was allowed to talk to me, not that they wanted.- Amelia chuckled slightly. - I was punished for every single mistake I made. It is not hard to make mistakes when you are a child. There were many days when I went to bed without any food. It got worse when he was drunk, which has become his habit lately. Then, he needed no reason to beat me or cut my skin with a silver knife. When he was too tired of torturing me, he let others have their share. Some of them did it, forced by Alpha, like his Beta, for example. But others liked to hurt me. I have no idea if they did it because of hatred or because they were just monsters, like Alpha.- Amelia stopped. Her hands were shaking. - Hank was the worst. You met him in the forest, - The girl explained after seeing the question in Alice's eyes. At that moment, the woman regretted showing too much mercy to those monsters. They seemed worse than rouges, who usually just killed their prey. She had no heart for people who enjoyed hurting others for fun. - Years after years, I was living in this hell. I wanted to end my life, but on the other hand, I was hoping for a miracle that would change my life. This miracle happened when Shadow appeared in my life. The first shift was a nightmare, but I wasn't alone anymore. She gave me hope and courage. Thanks to her, I finally decided that all this miserable existence of mine had to stop. We have planned our escape for more than a year. To be sure that when we do it, there will be no coming back. We ran away on the night when our Beta was celebrating his birthday. There was a party, and even Alpha decided to join in. It was my chance, so I took it. The rest of the story, you already know, everything was going fine until they found me in the woods. Without your help, I would be back in the Black Moon Pack or dead if I had some luck.- The girl finished her story with a heavy breath. - Why didn't you let your wolf speed up the healing process? That would be useful.- Alice asked out of curiosity - I had this feeling that no one could know that she was with me already. From what I was able to hear from pack members, most wolves wake up when their people come to the age of sixteen. I was only fourteen. If Alpha learned about my wolf, he would use Shadow and hurt her to make me suffer more. That was not an option. - Fourteen?? That is truly rare. From my own experience, I can say I met only one other person who had their wolf at the age of fourteen, just like you.- Alice spoke, surprised. -Maybe it is not as rare as we thought. - Amelia shook her head, dropping the subject. - Anyway, I was able to keep her unnoticed till I left. So how on Earth, do you know?? - Oh honey, that is simple. I am more aware of many things because I am a witch.- Alice replied like it was nothing. Amelia gasped, and her lips parted. - Sorry, what????
