“Ayame…. Are you okay?” A distant voice sounded as someone shook me up. “Look at me, Ayame… Look into my eyes.” There was something magnetic about that velvety voice. I found myself raising my head and looking into those deep orbs that were laced with concern. “Relax…” One word and air gushed into my lungs again. My rigid muscles slacked and my shoulders eased. The darkness that was surrounding me dimmed making me aware of a familiar presence. “Alistair….” The corner of my lips tugged as a sense of relief washed over me. “What happened, Ayame?” Alistair asked, his grip on my shoulders tightening. “What triggered such an intense panic attack?” So that was what it was; a panic attack?
