The Call

After saying goodbye to the girls after school i went home to a quiet house , being that mom is a single parent i never meant my dad and mom never talks about him and i dont ask so its always just been the two of us and she works a lot, going to fridge to find something to eat my mind keeps going over the conversation with Layla and Emma , is it werid that Levi has never seemed to have a girlfriend as attractive as he is , he does seem to just stick to his two best friends kinda like me ..maybe he just wasn’t ready to date.. I’m so nervous just waiting on him to call i can only imagine how nervous I’ll be on a date with Levi.

around 7 o’clock my phone rings Levi’s name pops up on my screen .. God my hands are sweaty and shaky ‘remember be cool’

Sammie’-hello

Levi-hey Sam , hope i was not interrupting anything, i just wanted to call and maybe get to know you a little better before Friday, you seemed nervous when I asked you out earlier?

Sammie-Yeah sorry about that i was rushing this morning i was late getting to school, explains why I basically ran into you literally.i’ll be honest i am nervous we really haven’t talked much is school , let alone out of school.

Levi-Yeah sorry about that I’ve been meaning to ask you out for a while but something always seems to happen when I finally decide to ask you. So i should be happy you were running late this morning i was able to see you by yourself.

Sammie-while then its was a good thing you caught me alone this morning ,I”m looking forward to Friday now that we’ve talked a little bit. You can pick me up at Emma’s house im getting ready there . My mom works a lot being a single mother .

Levi-Thats fine , my parents are always busy, so i spend most of my time with the guys or at football practice. You know I’ve had a crush on you since i first moved here, you were the first girl i talk to when my parents moved us here you probably don’t remember?

Sammie-Our we talking about when your asked me for a pencil “laughing” i highly doubt that would’ve been called a conversation.. but i do remember it..

Levi- Yeah your probably right , i heard rumors that you didn’t wanna date till after high school , i know a couple of guys on the football team have asked you out before and you always turn them down. I figured with school being over soon i did not wanna miss my chance at taking you on a date . I honestly thought you were going to say no.

Sammie-I really just wanted to keep my focus on school and im trying to get into the best college i can ,thats all plus most of the guys who have asked me out are total playboys.

Levi-I can understand where your coming from, but i can say im honestly glad you did say yes , Ive had a couple dates here and there but its mostly with girls my parents have made me take out , You our the only girls I’ve asked out because i wanted to.

Talking to Levi is going good maybe i have nothing to be nervous about it’s just dinner and a movie. All of a sudden in the middle of talking i hear a mans voice yelling in the background,

Levi-sorry Sam i have to go ill see you at school tomorrow again i cant wait for Friday..

Sam-okay i hope everything is okay /

That was weird I couldn’t make out what the man in the background said , he sounded mad or even pissed ..i hope Levi isn’t in trouble and has to cancel Friday.I guess i cant do anything but hope for the best.Layla and Emma have made me paranoid, im swear everything is fine . Maybe i should call the girls see what they think although they will just make it worse , my imagination is just getting the best of me, i swear sometimes i should just be a creative writer in the future.

I may need to go shopping for Friday , i dont think i have any date clothes ..what are even date clothes..lord I think i need help a.s.a.p

Around 9 O’clock i heard my mom walk in threw the front door, i went out of my room to check on her see how her day went, my mom was just sitting at the kitchen table looking tired.

Hey mom how was work ,its was okay honey long day . How was school sweetheart , school was actually really great this guy asked me out for Friday and im super nervous but super excited at the same time if that makes any sense,yes it does sweetie , so who’s the guy .. While his name is Levi Cattaneo he’s so cute and he was helping me picked up my books this morning and the next thing you know he asked me to dinner and a movie for this Friday ,The look on my mom’s face was a look of worry almost which I couldn’t understand is that a problem mom, i wont be out late you know you can trust me seeing this is my first date and I’m almost 18.

Yes, Sammie you know i worry thats all, im gonna get some sleep it”s been a long day and i have a double shift tomorrow. Goodnight sweetie.
