Brave
I perceived a knife stabbed unswerving into my chest. The pointed tip of the knife landed through the skin of my heart. I am certain that very moment my heart does not wish to continue. Damn, my heart breaks. Oh man it is very painful. My heart is pounding very weak. It feels like my heart admits defeat and does not want to fight anymore. I couldn’t stop crying.
And just when worse is not enough, my lungs are suddenly filled with water. I couldn’t breath. I feel like my head is underwater drowning helplessly. Is it too late now? I put my right feet forward with tears filled my eyes. Can I go back? I take one step followed by the next. I don’t want to die. I walk faster until I come running. And while I ran I heard a song play, but I guess it should not bother me anymore now that I know I am dead.
Stand by MeBy Oasis
Made a meal and threw it up on Sunday
I've got a lot of things to learn
Said I would and I'll be leaving one day
Before my heart starts to burn
So what's the matter with you?
Sing me something new
Don't you know the cold and wind and rain don't know
They only seem to come and go away
Times are hard when things have got no meaning
I've found a key upon the floor
Maybe you and I will not believe in
The things we find behind the door
So what's the matter with you?
Sing me something new
Don't you know the cold and wind and rain don't know
They only seem to come and go away
Stand by me, nobody knows the way it's gonna be
Stand by me, nobody knows the way it's gonna be
Stand by me, nobody knows the way it's gonna be
Stand by me, nobody knows
Yeah, nobody knows, the way it's gonna be
If you're leaving will you take me with you?
I'm tired of talking on my phone
There is one thing I can never give you
My heart will never be your home
So what's the matter with you?
Sing me something new
Don't you know the cold and wind and rain don't know
They only seem to come and go away
Stand by me, nobody knows the way it's gonna be
Stand by me, nobody knows the way it's gonna be
Stand by me, nobody knows the way it's gonna be
Stand by me, nobody knows
Yeah, nobody knows, the way it's gonna be
The way it's gonna be, yeah
Maybe I can see, yeah
Don't you know the cold and wind and rain don't know
They only seem to come and go away (hey, hey)
Stand by me, nobody knows the way it's gonna be
Stand by me, nobody knows the way it's gonna be
Stand by me, nobody knows the way it's gonna be
Stand by me, nobody knows
Yeah, God only knows, the way it's gonna be
With one snap of fingers, and all the pain is gone. Magic, I didn’t know how that trick was pulled out. I opened my eyes slowly. I found myself standing beside a dark brown framed window at one corner where the light is coming from. I observed how the yellow orange light freely made its way through the open window.
I stand there in one corner of the room unknowingly bewitched by the yellow light. Even when the light is so bright, I couldn’t help but to look at it, until it nearly blinded my eyes. I shut my eyes closed and heard a door slowly opening.
I shut my eyes closed. And then I heard a smooth sound of a heavy wooden door slowly cracking open. Just when I opened my eyes, there she appears standing in front me. And in spite the fact that the yellow light from the window behind me is so bright, she still sees and recognizes me. She looks at me with a teary eye.
‘You came back.’ she said. I must say, she is both happy and sad to see me. ‘Irina, I think you should know.’ I said.
I have been watching her for quite some time now. She is a solo parent for Mallory. She does things by herself, and that I know how strong she is.
‘I should know what?’ she asked bravely, seemingly fighting back her tears.
With her there is no need to sugar coat things. I know her she does not like fake. I believe she can take this straight from me.
‘I think you should know that I am dead.’ I said straight to her face and looked at her in the eye.
She is so quiet. I cannot guess what she is thinking. I am waiting for her response. I am not good at reading between the lines, but then she surprised me when she answered; ‘I know.’ she said standing there silently looking straight at me. ‘I already know that you are dead.’
Yellow
By Cold Play
Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And everything you do
Yeah, they were all yellow
I came along
I wrote a song for you
And all the things you do
And it was called Yellow
So, then I took my turn
What a thing to've done
And it was all yellow
Your skin
Oh yeah, your skin and bones
Turn in to something beautiful
Do you know
You know I love you so
You know I love you so
I swam across
I jumped across for you
What a thing to do
'Cause you were all yellow
I drew a line
I drew a line for you
What a thing to do
And it was all yellow
And your skin
Oh yeah, your skin and bones
Turn in to something beautiful
Do you know
For you, I'd bleed myself dry
For you, I'd bleed myself dry
It's true
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine
Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And all the things that you do
