Chapter 1. A supporting character? A drama at the hotel
Jenny Hesinbach opened her eyes, and she saw a light with a shade of orange color light this room, which was flirtatious and luring.
‘Who am I? Where am I? What happened?’ The three questions popped out her brain immediately. She then looked down to check her body, and she found that her hands were covered with blood-her own blood. Her body was stiff, a great horror grasped her that she could not help but let out a terrifying scream.
‘Damn it, shut up!’ A deep and low voice stopped her, she turned around and found a man was staring at her with a ferocious look, but he looked pale and painful.
Jenny swallowed her scream, and a memory that didn’t belong to her flashed back, it was so much that her head was about to explode. But then, she was totally shocked. Because what she was experiencing for the moment was the exact same description in that novel she read last night.
Two days ago, Jenny got nothing else to do, so she browsed through the internet and found a romantic novel for women, she dig in, and she was amused by the stupidness and awkwardness of the heroine.
‘What a b***h move. I don’t like this heroine’ She said to herself. But then when she woke up, she passed through to a parallel universe and became the supporting character in the novel, Jenny Hesinbach. In this novel, Jenny Hesinbach was a married woman who cheated on her husband with a lot of puppies. She was also arrogant and selfish. She was obsessed by the beauty of the hero in the book, so she drugged him and lured him to s*x. But the hero was a man with strong self-control, she didn’t get what she wanted. Instead, her husband caught her cheating right at the spot, and then a TV series of their getting divorce was put on show.
The heroine in the book was a self-improved, ambitious little b***h. She came from a low-born family, and her mother married Jenny’s father for a second marriage. But Jenny in the book was also a villain who gave the heroine a really hard time. The heroine hold the grudge and waited until Jenny’s husband Lewis Morgan, who was a mogul in business, divorced her, then she plot a scheme to have Jenny murdered.
‘I am not going to let that happen. I have to do something about this.’ Jenny thought to herserf.
She went through the details of a few chapters in the book quickly in her mind, then she heard the footsteps outside the room. Someone was here to caught her cheating. And it must be her husband, Lewis Morgan.
The door was opened with a squeaky sound, and Jenny stood on her knees right away and cried with tears over her face, which shocked everybody in the room.
‘Sweetie, it is not what you think! They set me up! I love you so much, you got to believe me! I swear to god that I didn’t do anything that hurt you!’
But a pair of brawn hands helped her up, it was her father. ‘Jenny, it’s ok, it’s dad.’
‘Where is my husband!’ Jenny yelled, she wouldn’t want to make effortless tries. James Elsinbach was awkward, he was totally ignored by his daughter.
‘Here.’ Lewis Morgan replied with in peace. No one could tell from his tone if he was angry or not.
A chill was coming up from her spine, and when she locked eye with Lewis, she felt like she was falling into a dark hole. Lewis was tall and strong, he was intimidating by simply standing in the room. He moved his sight down from Jenny’s neck, and then his eyes turned sharp before he took off his suit and covered it on Jenny.
He looked at Jenny for a while, then let out a sigh:’We are getting divorce.’
Divorce?Hell no!
Jenny hold his leg so tight: ’I am not getting divorce. You are not gonna ditch me like that.’
James Hesinbach frowned upon that, and whispered to her ear: ’Then why you informed us about this? I thought you are trying to humiliate Lewis to get divorce.’
Jenny was astonished, this was something not mentioned in the book. She did all this on purpose for divorce?
‘That is not possible. I love Lewis so much, what is the reason for me doing that?’ Jenny denied it right away.
James Hesinbach was mad: ’Are you saying that you were fooling me? Your father?’ But he didn’t say it out, since Lewis was around.
Lewis moved his lips, but he didn’t say anything. He looked at this woman who was holding his leg, and was totally confused. She was the one asking for a divorce, but she denied it when it hit the fan. What exactly did she want?
Jenny knew that it was working, so she continued: ’Sweetie, you know that I am being honest. I am not lying, and I regret for what I did before. I swear, I will be loyal to you from now on. Give us a chance, please! ’
‘Jenny, that is not what you said yesterday. You told us that you would do anything to get divorced, and you said Lewis was a monster and you would rather suicide than living with him.’ The one who spoke was Jenny’s stepmother. Her words pulled the string in the room.
‘This is pure bullshit! ’ Jenny argued fiercely, this dear ‘mother’ was a little b***h who gossiped and set Jenny up in the book. And she kept adding fuel to the fire.
Lewis Morgan didn’t respond to Jenny’s pleade. He turned to his assistants and said:’Get Mr. Wellington to the hospital, now.’ It didn’t occur to Jenny until this moment that there was someone lying on the ground. Soon, a crew of people went in and took Elan Wellington, the hero of the book, outside the room.
‘Damn it, I turned both the heroine and hero in the book against myself.’ In the book, Elan Wellington was a dandy hanging around with women, but then he raised as a new star in the commercial circle independently. The book had very little description about Lewis, so she didn’t get any useful information. Her only hope of fighting against her bitchy step-sister would her husband.
‘Jenny, get up, the floor is full of germs and you will get sick.’ James Hisenbach said. Jenny tried to get back on her feet, but then she fell to the ground again for she had been kneeling for too long and her legs got worn out.
Lewis reached out his hands to help her as an instinct, but then he stopped. He turned to his fellas and said: ’Are you blind?’ As he spoke, two of his assistants came in and helped Jenny up.
Jenny was surprised to find that the relationship between her and her husband were so intense that he didnt’ even want to have physical contact with her. She had a long way to go.
Those guys took her back to her mansion, and helped her to the couch then left. It was only Lewis and her in this empty but huge living room. Jenny was awkward because she didn’t spend any time with Lewis before, and she had never had any relationship as well. She took a sip of a glass of water sitting on the table.
‘Go ahead and do whatever you want to do. I can pretend that nothing ever happened if you stay in the boundary.’ The man sitting across her said it in a cold tone without even looking at her.
She got chocked by hearing what he said, and spilled some water on her dress. ‘Does today count as crossing the boundary?’ She asked in seriousness.
Lewis Morgan dragged his face even longer and frowned upon that, as if he was asking: ’What do you think?’
Jenny knew that she was pushing it to the edge, so she tried to make up for it: ’Sweetie, you know I am just kidding, hahaha.’
Lewis Morgan noticed that she got some bruises on her knees, so he pulled up his phone and made a call:’I need you to come over, now.’ Then he hung up the phone. Then he looked up and found his wife mumbling with a silly smile on her face.
‘What do you need?’ Lewis frowned, but he asked in patience.
‘Honey, I need to go to the restroom. Can you help me up? Or get some of your fellas to do that?’ Jenny said that in flattery.
