Chapter 5

Alice tries to calm herself down, knowing that Marcus can get to her so easily is going to be a problem. She's spent years building up walls so people wouldn't get to her. There shouldn't anything that he could do to get under her skin but some how he does. Realizing she needs to apologize for telling him to f**k off because he is her boss she wipes her frustration tears, and goes back to the door. She opens the door and is shocked to see Marcus standing at her door. She opens her mouth but nothing comes out. Marcus leans forward and just whispers "Don't apologize for standing up for yourself ever. You are a strong woman and I will help you become stronger so you never apologize to anyone even me." Alice shivers one because of what he said and also because it was so sexy. All she could do was nod her head. Once she nodded her head he gave her a curt nod and walked away.

Alice is more confused now that he walked away. Why would he say all of that let alone care. It makes it seem like Marcus is different than he portrays himself to be. I want to be the type of woman he sees me to be, maybe that was the point. He wants me to be strong and unapologetic so that's what I'll be. I walk to the bathroom and look at myself in the mirror. I decide right then that I need to try to be a business woman. I need to make some changes my hair, clothes, and make up. Alice walks back downstairs to Marcus' office and knocks. "Come in" Marcus answers. She opens the door and walks in. "Hey I was wondering if I could get an advance on my pay? I need to go do some shopping and a haircut." He just looks up and eyes her for a moment. "Would you like to have Tony drive you? I can assure you where ever you want to shop or go they will just bill me directly. Since I'm sure you don't have a bank account yet." he tells her in a level voice. She hadn't thought about that. "If that is alright with you then yes." "Of course and I will have a back account opened for you this week so if you need to pay for anything you can." Alice smiles at him "Thank you".

Tiny drives her to a salon and opens her door. They walk in together and immediately a woman walks over. "How can I help you today?" she asks them. "I want to get a cut and color whatever would make me appear business like and mature." I say. The last looks at Tony and he nods. It seemed like the last was asking his permission. I turn and face the woman "He's not in charge of me or the client. When you want an answer ask me not him." I say rather angry like. "I'm going to sit you with Sarah today and you two can discuss what it is you want done." She gestures toward a chair and I walk with her. And I take a seat as the woman named Sarah comes over. She wraps a cape around me and asks "What are you wanting to do today? Your hair is too he's healthy, have you ever done anything to it?" I shake my head no. "I want to cut it and style it to be more business and profession like. So you have any ideas on that and I'm okay with a color change." I say. "I have some ideas let's just get started and see where we go. I'm thinking darker brown with some highlights. Does that sound okay? also I don't want to cut too much off but we can add some layers."

After a couple hours at the salon my hair looks amazing and I've made a follow up appointment. Sarah was extremely nice and even pointed me in the right direction for make up and someone to help me apply it. I have no idea of the costs of anything because Tony takes care of the payment. And by the time we finish with hair and make up I'm already tired but I need to get some clothes. Tony drives me to the mall and I get some outfits and shoes. As I'm walking I see Victoria secret and decide I need some under stuff. Tony goes to walk in with me and I shake my head and tell him I'll get him before I go to register. He only nods his head in agreement. I pick out some matching set and some normal everyday lounge wear. But as I head to get Tony I see some lingerie and pick out a couple things. As I'm looking I wondering if Marcus would find any of this sexy. Gosh why should he care he doesn't want to see me naked let along in lingerie. I still grab the stuff because hopefully I will get to wear them for someone. I wave to Tony and I see he's on the phone so I walk out to him and he hurrys up and gets off the phone before I can hear anything. I think that seems suspicious but let it go. He pays and we head to the car, I decide not to ask about his call because it isn't my business.

As we drive home I start to doze off but I try to stay sort of alert. Tony doesn't say anything on the drive home so I stay quiet in the back seat. We arrive home and Tony brings my bags up to my room and I start putting things away. I go in the bathroom and clean myself up a bit and put on a red dress I purchased today. it cuts low in the front so you can see plenty of cleavage. Finishing the look with black heels I head down stairs to find Marcus. He's waiting in the dining room waiting for dinner.

Alice walked into the dining room and she was gorgeous. Her hair was styled, make up on but not more than the bare minimum which is all she needs, and that dress and heels make her look sexy. I stare for a moment before I remember I should say something. "You look beautiful. Here come sit." She walks over and sits and I can see straight down her cleavage. We eat some in silence. "When do we start work Monday? I just want to give myself plenty of time to get ready is all." Alice asks. "We will leave at eight o'clock sharp. Make sure your wearing pants we will be doing alot of walking." I reply. What I don't tell her is she will be doing alot of walking because I want to watch her ass as she walks away from me. Who knows maybe I can get to walk in just her heels. We finish eating and I stand to leave but I walk the other walk and I bend down to her ear and whisper "That dress looks gorgeous on you but I wonder what is underneath." Woman don't turn him down which she hasn't but said she wanted her job more. "If you don't mind me asking, why do you want the job more? It's just an assistant job." he asks. "Well for someone who grew up with nothing and raised herself this job means alot to me. Also knowing I will be able to afford my next meal is nice and have a roof over my head. You may not take this things seriously but I do. Having nothing makes you appreciate everything." She says. He smiles at her and says "Thank you for letting me know. Also glad to know you want me the same as I want you."

He walks up to his room and goes straight the shower. A nice cold shower will hopefully distract his libido for a while. Climbing in the shower and the ice cold water does nothing.
