Inevitable Calling

A good distraction

I needed a little bit of breathing space from Lexi so I decided to go talk to my sister, I walked towards Tori’s bedroom and knocked on her door. She called for me to go in, I walked inside and she was laid on her bed with Owen. He looked at me sheepishly but Tori just had a smile on her face.

“What’s up, Bro?” She asks me even though she knows the answer.

“You know what’s up.” I grunted at her.

I then sat down in the armchair across her bed and sigh, “So, when did you two suddenly become a thing and suddenly openly display it?”

Owen looks at me sheepishly again and Tori giggled coyly, “It happened the day Cordelia came and fought with Lexi.” Owen mumbled.

“Uh-huh.” I mutter, waiting for them to explain more.

“I want Owen to mark me, he was close to marking me that day but then I got a text off Cane. Owen wishes to mark me while you’re present.” Tori said.

I sat in the armchair trying to process my sister and my best friend. I had some suspect for a while that they would end up being called eventually. I felt pant of lust between the both of them but Tori never fully noticed it. I knew for a fact that my best friend had the hots for my sister but I never voiced it out.

I guess he never said anything because he was afraid I wouldn’t approve, which is silly really because I do. Besides, it’s not my call to make anyway, if the moon calls them together then I have no choice but to accept it.

I looked towards Owen, “I appreciate you respecting our brother bond but really I’m happy for the both of you. I don’t have a problem with you mating with my sister. I knew you fancied my sister for a while anyway, I just didn’t say anything.”

He sighs, “I didn’t want to mark her without your permission or without you being there. I was close to marking her the other day but I’m kind of glad we were interrupted.”

“So when are you going to mark her then?” I asked him.

His face went a bit rigid, “I guess on Valentine’s Day.” She shrugged.

I nodded at him, things were silent for a while.

I then turned to my sister, “So you’re happy with my best friend?”

She flashes a smile at me, “Yes, I am.”

I then turned back to my best friend, “You better look after my sister, bro or not I’d knock your lights out if you hurt her.”

He laughed at me, “Trust me, I know you would.”

He then became more serious, “I intend on loving Tori, I wouldn’t treat her like the last one treated her”

Tori inhaled quickly and changed the subject, “Anyway, let’s talk about you and Lexi.”

I shot a glare at her and she rolled her eyes.

“You’re more important than me and Owen, there’s nothing much to say about us. You two on the other hand…” She shrugs.

“Do you want me to go see her, I can hear her crying?” She asks me with concern on her face.

Owen clears his throat, “Im guessing it went well with you meeting her parents.”

I cover my face again with my hands, “It did, but I was hard the entire time of being at her parents house. She provoked me and flirted which made it awkward.”

I then crossed my arms and snapped, “She did it without even caring about what her parents might think or feel.”

They both laughed at me, “So you took the punishment to the next level, is that why Lexi is crying?” Tori asked as she crosses her arms and legs.

I nodded at her, “It got a bit kinky and she broke free of my tie around her wrists, she then tried to ride me and… well, I’m sure you can imagine how I must be feeling right now. I had a cold shower and half of my arousal is still there.”

I took a breather, she then sighed and stood up.

“I’m going to have a chat with her, I don’t think it’s best she’s left alone and since things are too hot between you both she needs a friend.”

I looked up at her, “Thank you, Victoria.” My voice was breaking and Owen rubbed my back for support.

Tori grinned at me, “Of course.” And then left her room.

I turned to Owen and he smiled at me awkwardly.

“I bet you hate me.” He mumbled as he fiddled with his fingers.

I burrow my brows at him, “Why would I hate you, Owen?”

He sighs, “Because I easily had s*x with your sister while you’re having the hardest time of your life.”

I softly laugh at him, “Don’t worry about that, Lexi is worth the hassle.”

Things fell silent for a few minutes, Owen continued to rub my back. I tried to gather my thoughts and clear my head, I took a few moments taking deep breaths and I felt a lot better. I listened out to see if Lexi was still crying and she was laughing with my sister.

I smiled knowing that my sister could make her feel better, I was happy that they were getting along as if they were sisters; I then took another sigh.

“Are the boys in the basement?” I asked him.

He nods, “They practically live there.”

We both laughed, “Alright, let’s go down.”

We both stood up and walked to the basement, music was playing and the boys were goading at each other as usual. When we got there they all stopped and looked at us, they then all smiled and my heart fluttered at the notion.

“There’s the smile we all love.” Aaron beamed out.

We all laughed at him, “Thanks, knob.” I joked with him.

I walked over to the counter and opened a bottle of beer, I took a swig.

“How was meeting your lady’s parents?” Cane asked me as he perched himself down next to me.

I turned to him, “It went good, Lexi reckons they liked me.”

I took another swig, “You went straight to your room when you returned?” He then asked me.

I explained to the boys what happened with Lexi and her parents, I explained that I wanted to punish her for her deviance and that things got too hot. I explained that I wanted to take a breather and talk to Owen and my sister about the both of them.

They were all either sat down or stood up listening to me attentively, they looked amused and every now and then they’d laugh at what I was saying. It was amazing to know that my best friends care about me and what happens in my life, it makes me happy to know that they’re interested in whatever I have to tell them.

“You got your work cut out for you.” Cam joked.

I laughed at him as I run my hand through my hair, “Yeah, I do.”

I took another swig of my beer, “Did you guys sort out Jack’s body and the mess?”

Cane nodded, “Yes we did, we also went back out to patrol but we didn’t see anything tonight.”

I nodded at him, “I wonder if his boss works out we captured one of their snatchers.” I muttered.

“Well I say bring it on.” Jordan challenged.

We all laughed at him, I walked towards the pool table and picked up a stick.

“Fancy a game anyone?” I asked, looking around the room.

Owen grinned, “I’ll have one with you.”

He picked up a stick and we played pool, the boys started talking again and we all had a laugh. For a while I didn’t think about Lexi, my boys were a good distraction from her. Every now and then an image of her would appear in my head, my stomach did flips as I missed her angelic face. I think Owen could tell this as he smiled gently at me, I sighed and then sat down on the sofa with another beer in my hand.

Lexi

My emotions were all over the place and I couldn’t help but go to grind on Theo’s lap, he ripped the blindfold off me and I could see that he was fully in pain. I felt really bad that I’m causing this, a tear rolled down my face and he got up to go get a shower. Five minutes later he came out and looked at me, he announced he was going to go talk to Victoria about her and Owen.

Once he was out of the room I couldn’t help but cry, I heard him sigh before walking away. After about fifteen minutes of crying and being alone, Victoria knocked on the door.

“Can I come in, Sweetie?” She sounded concerned.

I rubbed my eyes, “Sure.”

She opened the door and walked in, she took a look at me and saw that I was a mess and was naked so she walked over to the closet and picked out a over-sized nightie. She walks over to me and flings it at me.

“Put this on, B.” She orders me.

I obeyed and pulled it over my head as she walks towards the dressing table and picked up a face wipe. When I was wearing the nightie she walked towards me and casually sat down on the bed.

I peeked over at her and lightly smiled, she smiled back and wiped my face with the face wipe.

“Girl, what are we going to do with you and my brother?” She gently joked.

We both giggled, I then let out a deep breath and she squeezed my arm.

“I take it he told you about what happened.” I looked over at her and she nodded.

“I offered to come see you, I thought you could do with a friend. He was happy about this as he didn’t want you to be alone but he’s finding it really hard to be around you.”

I then sighed again, “I know, you should have seen his face when I tried to… you know, ride him.” My face went rigid and she laughed at me.

“He must have some serious control power for him to not lose control with you. I’ve seen him lose it once with a woman, I think maybe it’s because he cares about you that much nothing will stop him from containing it. It’s also about will power, like with your wolf-fight with Cordelia. He only let his beast out like that because he was serious enough and needed to interject with the fight. He wasn’t going to let her beat you.” She pauses for air.

Things fell silent for a while then Vic spoke, “I’m planning on going to the salon tomorrow, do you want to come with me?” She says as she picks up my hand to look at my nails and then gives a sour look as they’re bland.

She then says, “Your nails look well kept but they’re plain, you need to have some colour to them.” She winks at me as I scoff at her.

“Sure, I’m not at college and I’m sure Theo would be fine with it as long as I ask him.” I looked down coyly and she giggles.

“Thank you for coming to cheer me up, it makes me happy. You’re a good distraction from your brother.” I beam at her and she grins at me.

I then sigh, “My feelings for him are growing, I feel lost without him.” She giggles at me again.

“I know, Hun, but it’s just a part of the mating/calling process. You see, for me and Owen, it’s not as hard because we’re both Lycans and we’re both adapted to each other. The only thing is, I’ve only just noticed my attraction towards him. I never knew he had feelings for me, but I’m not one to ignore my calling. He almost marked me actually the day you and Cordelia fought with each other.”

She paused to look at me and I gasped at her, she chuckled at my dismay.

“So are you and Owen are together now then?” I asked her.

“Looks like it, Hun.”

We laid on the bed talking for a while, time passed by and I fell asleep. I woke up in the embrace of Theo, it was dark so I checked for the time. It was 3AM in the morning. When I gasped at the time Theo stirred,

“You okay, Baby?” He murmured, cupping my tummy and sending butterflies across it.

“It’s three in the morning.” I whispered.

He slightly groans, “Is it, Muffin?”

I rolled to my right and wrapped my arm around his waist, he grabbed my cheeks and softly kissed me. Heat started to rise again and a low growl escaped his throat, he rolled to the right and sighed. I moved closer to him and rested my head on his chest, he gently stroked my face and played with my hair.

“What did you get up to after Victoria came and chatted to me?” I quietly asked him as he continued to play with my hair.

“I just went to the basement with Owen, I played pool with the boys and we just had a chatter. Tori said that you spent about two hours chatting and then you fell asleep so she came down to the har, I decided that I wanted you to wake up next to me so I just came to bed.”

“Are you okay?” I drew circles on his chest and a rumble left his throat.

“I’m better when I’m next to you, it’s just hard when things get intense.”

“I know, I’m really sorry…”

He cut me off, “I told you to stop apologising, Button, I want this. I want you and I want everything we go through.”

I lifted my head and gave him a passionate peck on his mouth and smiled at him, I feel him returning my smile.

I then rested my head back onto his chest and fell asleep again.

I woke up again and this time it was light, I looked at the time and it was 8:24. I looked over to my right and Theo was already awake. He looked over at me and grinned.

“Morning, Snowflake.” He beamed at me.

“Someone’s in a good mood this morning.” I flirted back with a grin on my face.

“Of course I am, I get to wake up next to you everyday.”

My smile turns into an awkward lip biting, “I have a question for you.”

“You want to know if you can go to the salon with my sister today.” His tone didn’t even sound like he was questioning me, he stated it.

I blink at him and he chuckles at my expression, “Yeah, she already told me that you was going to ask me.”

He pinches my chin, “I’ll let you go if you let me take you both. I’ll take you to Sandy Blooms for lunch after.”

My grin widened again, “I’d love that.”

“Fantastic, get dressed then, Angel face.”

I goofily giggled at his endearment and he kissed me on the lips.

After a few seconds later I mumble into his mouth, “Let my face go so I can get dressed.”

He smirked against my mouth before pulling away, I jumped out of bed and sauntered to the closet. I picked out a coral-pink romper and slipped into some white-rose wedges, I then brushed my hair and walked towards the bathroom to brush my teeth and when I came back into the bedroom to apply some light-pink lipgloss I turned to Theo.

He was still in bed, watching me. I giggled at him and jumped on him, he laughed at me and started to tickle me. I couldn’t help but laugh my head off, I then grabbed his wrists and smooched him all over his face.

“Now look who’s not getting dressed.” I teased him and he grinned at me.

“You look beautiful, Biscuit.”

“Thank you, my Lord.”

I then rolled off him and slapped his arm, “Now get dressed, Papi.”

He rolled his eyes while groaning, “Can’t we just have a lie in for once.” He moaned.

I tut at him, “No, Babe, get up, LazyPants.”

He then sighs as I stand with my arms crossed, waiting for him to get up. He lifts the quilt off him and strides towards the closet. I looked at him and he shrugs at me,

“What?”

“You left the bed unmade.” I c*ck a brow at him.

He just laughs at me and turns back around.

“Bo can make it, Flower.”

After Theo is dressed, we walk towards ithe kitchen. Everyone was there, and I mean, everyone.

“Jesus, it’s a full house today.” I joke.

Everyone laughs, Cameron goes to stand up so we can sit down but Theo protests.

“No, it’s okay Cam, I’m taking Lexi and Tori to Wolf Bay.”

Vic chokes on her drink then turns to Theo, “Since when was you coming with us.” She said crossing her arms.

“Since I said so this morning.” He grins at her and she rolls her eyes at him.

“Fine.” She moans as she stands up and walks towards us.

She then walks past us and calls out, “Come on then, guys.”

I giggle and tug on Theo’s arm, he waves at everyone and let’s me drag him to follow Victoria. We got to Theo’s car and Victoria was sat in the backseat.

I burrow my eyes at her, “You don’t have to sit in the back, B.”

She flashes me a smile, “It’s okay, Lovebird, you can sit in the front with my brother.”

Theo has the door wide open for me and waits for me to get in, “Well are you going to get in, Muffin?” He barks while chuckling.

I get in the car and Theo slams the door shut, he gets in the drivers seat and sets off.

“You two seem happy this morning.” Victoria teases.

“We are.” Theo grins through the mirror at Victoria, he then glances at me before turning back to the road.

The car ride was short, we arrived at Wolf Bay and Theo parked the car. When we got to a salon he sat down on a sofa while me and Victoria got our nails done. I kept glancing at him and he looked rather bored, I smiled at him and he returned it. I blew a kiss at him and I heard his heart flutter, Vic giggle at the side of me.

“You two are so cute.” She gleefully said.

I turned to her and chuckled, I then batted my lashes shyly and she giggled at me.

After an hour of getting our nails done, I showed them off at Theo and he looked impressed.

“Now you look like a real barbie.” He joked and we laughed at him.

“I bet those would feel nice on…” Victoria starts but then stops and I gasp while Theo coughs. Vic then laughs and whacks Theo’s arm.

“You know you was just thinking that yourself.” She playfully teases her brother.

He just links his hand with mine and starts pulling me, Vic steps on her heels and follows. We arrived at Sandy Blooms and we sat outside since it was a sunny day, Theo ordered food and drinks then returned to our table. When he sat down he sprinkled kisses across my cheeks and I giggled at his gesture; Vic was sat watching us, dazed.

“I’m really happy you’re here with me.” Theo whispers into my ear as we sit cuddling.

I kiss him on the cheek, “Me too, Papi.”

The waitress then appeared with our order, “Enjoy.” She then disappeared.

Theo got stuck into his food and wolfed it down as if he was starving, I giggled at him and he looked at me sheepishly.

“You eat like you never get fed.” Vic joked.

He laughs at her, “I’m a man and a wolf, do you expect anything less?”

She didn’t even hesitate, “No.”

We stayed at Sandy Blooms for a good while, we decided to go back home when it started to pour it down. When we arrived back at the mansion there was a black car in the driveway.

“What’s Cordy’s mother doing at the Manor?” Vic questioned Theo.

He sighs, “I don’t know but I’m going to find out.”

He shuts off the engine and violently opens his door, he shuts it and walks stomps towards my door and opens it up. I get out of the car and he slams the door shut. He then locks the doors and drags me inside the Manor. I saw Vic roll her eyes at his aggression and he ignores it as he drags us to the kitchen.

There was a slim-dark-haired woman that looked like Cordelia sat at the countertop, Cane was stood by the back door looking awkward. The woman stood up as soon as she saw Theo.

“Good afternoon, Your Highness.” She greeted him looking a bit shy.

“Hello, Mrs Rolland, how can I help you?” He asks her, sounding rather irritated.

“I thought it was in your best to know that I’ve placed Cordelia into a special home. The day she created trouble for you she came home screaming and stropping. She’s never been able to take the word no and her behaviour was out of order. I honestly don’t know what is wrong with her, over the years she’s been developing severe mental illnesses. I’m so very sorry for what she’s put you through.” She rants on as her face flushes through her speech.

“Thank you for taking the time to come and tell me this.” Theo says to Mrs Rolland.

She nods at him and bows to him before taking a leaving. He stands looking into blank space for few minutes before looking at me and embracing my hips. He sighs as he nuzzles his nose into my neck and I caress his cheek.

“Are you okay, Papi?”

He sniffs then lifts his head up to look at me again, “Yeah, Biscuit.” He then smiles and strokes my hair.

He then turns to Cane, “Any news for me.”

Cane shakes his head, “None as of yet, Cuz.”

Theo then sighs, “I’m off to the basement.”

He then pulls me along with him and treks down the stairs. He pulls me towards the sofa and sits down, pulling me onto his lap. He rubs his head and I give him a back massage, he moans and slouches back and I giggle at him.

“Stressed, Baby?” I coo at him.

“Quite, Babydoll.” He says as he squeezes my leg.

He then turns to me and grins, “But not when I’m with you.”

He plays with my fingers and admires my nails, I rest my head on his shoulder and close my eyes. The mansion seems quiet today despite that everyone was in the kitchen this morning so it was quite peaceful, Cane and Vic came to join us; they played pool with each other while I cuddled with Theo on the sofa.
