During the car ride with Wesley, it was silent. I sat shifting while twiddling my thumbs, Wesley looked at me and chuckled a little.

“You don’t have to feel awkward, Hun.” He said to me as he looked back at the road.

I cleared my throat while looking out of the side window, “I’m just worried that Theo is going to be p*ssed off.” I mumbled to him.

I then turned to look at him, “I’m curious, why are you taking me somewhere knowing that Theo won’t be happy once he finds out that I’ve left the Manor?” I asked him calmly.

He chuckles, “I’m a father to a twenty-year-old daughter, I couldn’t help but feel obligated to assist you in having a breather. I’m 130 years old but I had Grace 20 years ago in case you wondered how old I was.” He said.

I smiled at him, “That’s lovely…Where are you taking me anyway?” I asked him curiously.

He smiled at me while continuing to look at the road, “I’m taking you to Wolf Bay, it’s a beach. You’ll love it.” There was a little glee in his voice as he spoke.

“Oh yeah, I’ve heard about Wolf Bay. It’s built for wolves mainly but humans can visit too. I’ve always wanted to visit the beach since I was a little girl but my parents never took me.”

Wesley laughed at my excitement, “Well I’m happy to assist you on visiting a dream place.”

The air fell silent again but we were moving in on the beach. Wesley found a parking spot and parked the car. He then got out of the car and walked around to my side and opened the door, he ushered me out and I thanked him. He nodded at me as he slammed the door then locked the car.

We started to walk onto the beach and we found two empty chairs. He slumped down into one of them while I dropped my bag onto my chair and walked towards the ocean. Wesley had urged me to continue and promised that he would watch my possessions. I took my shoes off and rolled up my jeans, then I walked into the ocean and closed my eyes.

I listened to the ocean’s waves bounce as they come and go as I had my eyes closed, I’ve never felt so peaceful in my life. Birds sang and people laughed as they played in the water. It was a glorious sunny day, I inhaled some deep breaths before backing up a little to sit down on the sand.

I looked back to see if Wesley was still sat in his deck chair and he was watching me, he nodded at me to say that it’s okay for me to sit here for a bit while I gather my thoughts. I smiled at him before turning back to face the ocean. It was beautiful, as I continued to admire the ocean and the rest of my surroundings I smiled at the people having a good time.

I saw a family with three children, there were two little girls and an older boy. They were building sandcastles while the girls were winding their brother up, the boy threw tantrums and I laughed at their sibling banter along with their parents. I scanned more of the beach and saw a couple that were sat cuddling each other. They were talking and staring intently into each other’s eyes, smiling. I smiled at their display of affection, but then my smiled faltered as Theo crept into my mind.

The reason why I came here in the first place, to get away from the man for a bit. I feel suffocated being around him, I mean, yeah I love being around him and he makes me feel warm and fuzzy. But I feel breathless when he’s there, I haven’t had much time to myself for two days so escaping from Theo and spending some time on this beach, even if I makes Theo displeased, it’s worth it to have a moment to breathe.

While I sat by the water clearing my mind, my wolf hearing picked up a cellphone ring. I turned to look behind me and it was Wesley’s phone as he answered it. I turned back around so it didn’t look like I was eavesdropping but there was light distress on his face as he sighed. He was talking quietly because he knew I’d be able to hear him but all I heard was:

“I’m guessing he figured out Lexi is missing…”

“Yeah, I’m sorry about that…”

“I’m at Wolf Bay with her… I get that he wants you to find her so come to us… but don’t bring him because she needs time away from him. The poor girl is going nuts…”

“What? Sh*t, really?”

“Yeah, I’ll tell her. Don’t worry.”

He ends the call as he sighs exhaustedly, I spent a few moments continuing to sit by the water as if I wasn’t listening in. I stood up, brushed myself, then put my shoes back on and rolled my jeans back down before walking towards Wesley.

I sat down next to him, “Who was on the phone?” I asked shyly asked him.

He turned to look at me, “It was Cane, they realised you was gone so they told Theo and he lost his sh*t. He told them to find you within the next hour, they have no choice but to come get you. I’m sorry, Lexi, I told Victoria to come without Theo.”

“Why is it just Victoria coming? Isn’t Cane coming too?“ I asked confused.

He cleared his throat but he looked a little worried, “I think it’s best that Victoria speaks to you about what’s going on when she’s here.”

“O-okay.” Is all I said.

He thought for a few seconds, “There’s a cafe called ‘Sandy Blooms’, it’s Theo’s favourite place to eat. I think you’ll love it.” He said as he stood up and winked at me.

I chuckled at him, “Sure, lead the way.”

I picked up my bag and we started to walk towards the cafe Wesley had mentioned as it started to rain, we were half way until a shout came from behind us. We turned around and it was Victoria running towards us.

Out of breath she caught up to us, “Damn, I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to find you.” She laughs softly as she hunches over, regaining her breath.

“Wesley is taking me to Theo’s favourite food place.” I beamed at her and she beams back.

“Sandy Blooms? Yeah, he really loves that place. I’m sure he’d be pleased to know you visited there.”

She grabs my hand and pulls me as she leads us to the cafe enthusiastically, both me and Wesley laughed at her. We arrived at Sandy Blooms and it looked extravagant, there were flowers planted all around the cafe. We walked inside and found an empty spot by the window. Wesley ushered Victoria and I to sit down as he goes up to the counter and give our orders to the cafe worker.

I looked at Victoria, “So, what’s going on then? Why isn’t Cane with you?” I asked her as she played with her shellac nails.

She then looked at me and sighed, “Lexi, I’m about to tell you something but I want you to remain calm.”

I urged her to continue, “What is it? Please tell me.”

With anticipation for her answer she blurts out, “I got a phone call from my mam to say that she’s on her way with my father, they demanded a lift from the airport so Cane is picking them as we speak.”

I gasped at her announcement and she softly chuckled, “Does this mean I have to meet your parents?”

There were panic in my voice and she laughed at me, “Don’t be scared, Babes, my parents aren’t that bad. You probably heard that they’re the most feared couple in the world but the respect mine and my brother’s choices.” She assured me as she squeezed my hand on the table.

“That may be true but I’ve only just met your brother, I’m not ready to meet his parents yet. And I’d still want them to like me.”

Wesley returns to our table and slumps down into his chair, he smiled at us while opening his book to read, letting us chat to ourselves.

“Let me ask you something, do you want to be with Theo? Or feel like you would want to in time?” She asks me.

I answered her question with a question of my own, “Do I really have a choice? We’ve all established that Theo has chosen me and that the moon is calling us together.”

The waitress had appeared with our drinks and food, she smiled at us and wished us to enjoy before walking away.

“It’s possible that Theo’s eyes had gotten too big for his heart, that you two aren’t meant to be. But, the possibility is very slim. Anybody could feel the strength of both of your attraction towards each other. You see, my parents don’t just come to visit their children and their calling if they didn’t feel it was inevitable. It’s understandable that you’re nervous but I promise you that we’re all here for you.”

Things fell silent as we ate our food, I tried to process that I’d be meeting Theo’s parents once I go back to the Manor. Victoria and Wesley could tell that I was stressing about it as I kept shifting and sighing. Once we all finished eating our food we started talking again, they tried to keep me calm and distract me from Theo and his parents.

About an hour had passed and we were still sat in Sandy Blooms since the rain was now absolutely smashing it down, we were talking and laughing. Suddenly I felt a powerful aura outside the cafe, a strong presence staring at me. I knew who it was, it was Theo. My face started to heat up as I turned to look at him. His eyes were on me intensely and he looked soaked from the rain. He looked pretty sexy and I ended up knocking my drink over, blushing harder.

“Are you okay, Lexi?” Vic asks before turning to look at her brother.

She rolled her eyes at him and muttered, “Is he gonna come sit with us or is he just gonna be creepy and stare at Lexi in the pouring rain?”

After a few seconds of him standing outside watching us and laughing, he walked inside and sat down next to me. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder and my heart started to beat faster as I started to heat up at his embrace, despite that he was wet and cold. He grabbed my hand off the table and held it underneath, I squeezed his hand gently and he started to circle it.

My breathing started to get heavier and I rested my face into my free hand as I lent my arm onto the table. His aura felt rigid when he first sat down next to me but after a few seconds of holding me it felt relaxed.

Victoria spoke first, “Why am I not surprised that you’ve found us?” She said sarcastically.

Theo laughed, “What can I say, I had to make sure that my girl was okay.”

He joked as he flashed his white pearls at me, I couldn’t help but smile goofily. He pinched my chin, giving me a small peck on my lips. My heart fluttered and I felt dizzy, a small chuckle escaped Victoria’s mouth whereas Wesley sat with a blank expression, trying not to feel like our display of affection makes him feel awkward or like he’s interrupting us.

I was tempted to grope him with my hands and attack him with my face, but I held back the temptation. I turned my face towards Vic and smiled at her as I could feel her watching us, she had a smug look on her face.

“Wesley, get Lexi another drink since she spilt it all over the table.” Theo ordered Wesley and the nodded before standing up to get me a drink.

I felt something soft close to my ear, I turned to face Theo and he was snuggling into me like a cat.

“So, looks like I’ll be meeting your parents when we return to the Manor.” I blurted out, he let out a deep sigh and kissed me on the cheek.

“I didn’t plan on them coming over, I told them that it’s too soon but they insisted.”

He moves closer to my ear, “And I’ll be dealing with you for running out of the kitchen once we’re done with you meeting them.” He whispered into it.

Wesley returned to the table and Vic was facing sideways to her left playing with her hair while I whimpered a little, Theo didn’t laugh at me for once. He just stared at me with a serious look on his face. I rolled my eyes at him for being so temperamental and he growled at me.

I thanked Wesley for the drink and he nodded at me, I took a sip from it and smiled deviantly at Theo’s grip on me. He doesn’t like me rolling my eyes at him.

“Right, well I think it’s best that we returned to the Manor, don’t you?” Vic asked interrupting our moment.

Without looking at her Theo replied, “Yes, drink your drink, Dollface, so we can leave.” He said as he continued to look at me.

I drank my drink and Theo dragged me out of the cafe along with Victoria and Wesley behind us.

“I’ll take Lexi back on my bike, you two go ahead.” He urged them as we made it to the car park.

They nodded at him and shrugged at me as they got in the car, once they drove off Theo turned to me as he took his jacket off. He wrapped it around me and growled at me to slide my arms inside; I did as I was told and he lifted his hand to stroke my cheek, I jumped at his sudden movement and he laughed at me.

“Don’t worry, Muffin, I won’t hurt you unless I come to the knowledge that you enjoy pain.” He joked with a sadistic look on his face, he laughed at my mortification and I started to get irritated.

I huffed at him, “Your mood swings are really starting irritate me. Let’s just get on your bike and return to the Manor so we can get this over with.”

I crossed my arms with a straight face, meaning me meeting his parents. He looked at me as if I smacked him in the face. His hand started to twitch and I could tell that he wasn’t pleased with my attitude. I lifted my nose at him as if to say that I’m aware of this but I’m going to hold my ground.

“Fine, hold on tight since you’re shaking from the cold. I wouldn’t want you falling off.” He said with sarcasm as he hopped onto the bike.

I hopped on behind him and wrapped my arms around his lean body, he growled with satisfaction as he switched on the ignition. He slowly drove towards the exit before shooting off onto the motorway, I yelped and he laughed as I tightened my grip on him.

When we arrived at the Manor I could feel a intense aura, I’m guessing it’s because his parents are here. He switched the ignition off and had to hold me steady as my legs were wobbly from the ride.

He laughed at me, “Are you okay? Want me to carry you inside?” He asked with a malicious grin on his face.

I rolled my eyes at him and he growled, “I do hope you behave yourself once you’re inside, Snowflake.” There was warning in his tone.

I sighed and crossed my arms with a shrug, “Of course I’ll behave.”

He grabbed my hand and led me inside; Victoria and Cane were stood by the door with their arms folded, looking awkward, while Wesley was sat down on the sofa indulged in his book pretending that he’s not here and doesn’t know what’s going on.

“What now?” Theo growled in my ear.

It was Cane who spoke, “Kai and Tiana aren’t the only ones who’s decided to pay a visit.”

He looked at the ground and looked slightly afraid. I turned to Theo and he looked around, sniffing the air, before his face went sour and he snarled which made me jump. He stormed to the living room while still holding my hand, when he came to a stop he was staring at a dark-haired girl wearing a black dress showing a good cleavage who was perched next to whom I believe is Theo’s mother.

She was laughing before she turned to Theo and stood up throwing her arms around him and pressing her cleavage into his chest.

“Theo! Where have you been?” She exclaims as she peels herself off him, batting her eyelashes at him.

I could feel everyone I’ve met so far making an appearance, staring at us. My anger started to boil as I watched the female throw herself at MY mate, she was flaunting herself at him as she ignores my presence. Theo could feel my anger building up as he squeezed my hand, my eyes were set on giving the female wolf harsh daggers.

Dollie had made an appearance and she was growling at the female while her tail was flapping violently, she did not like how the female greeted Theo.

Theo is Lexi’s, back off, dog!

She screamed in my head, my wolf isn’t happy and neither am I.

There was thick tension in the air and it was hot, it was silent for a few seconds as the female was waiting for a response from Theo. When Theo didn’t answer she barked again, “I’ve been sat talking to your parents as I waited for you to come back, it’s rude to keep a girl waiting.” She giggled as she quickly brushed her fingers across his biceps.

A very angry growl escaped my throat and she flinched as she acknowledges my existence for the first time, Theo turned to stare at me in shock.

“If you don’t back off from my man, my claws will come out.” I snarled at her.

I was shocked at how angry I felt and how defensive I got over Theo, but my wolf was deeply pulled towards his inner beast. My wolf is growing stronger and I have no control over how I react.

“Are you deaf? She told you to back off from my son.”

Theo’s mother stood up and walked towards us, she was looking me as she gently grabbed my hand and arm to calm me down. The female looked like I had b*tch slapped her, she bares her neck at the Queen before speaking.

“Queen Tiana, I don’t mean any disrespect but are you just going to stand there and let the she-wolf snarl at me like that?” She spat ‘she-wolf’ as if I was a dirty thing.

Queen Tiana then shot a hard look at the female, “Yes, Cordelia, I am going to.” She snarled at her as Cordelia jerked back.

“But why? Who even is she?” Cordelia barked.

“She’s my mate and you will do bloody well to show her respect!” Theo growled at her as Cordelia’s glare moved to him.

She sniffed me before snapping at Theo, “You haven’t even marked her yet! I’m more of a mate to you than she is!”

Victoria jumped into the heated commotion, “So what? That doesn’t mean that she’s not his to mark! What are you even doing here, dog?! You’re not his mate!”She snarled at her.

Cordelia takes a step back, “Wow, I came to see Theo and this is how you welcome me? You attack me as you protect some she-wolf that has barely even been here.” She scoffs in disbelief.

This time it was Cane who stepped in, “Oh, I think that she’s been here long enough to be a part of the family.” We glanced at each other and I smiled at his defence and he smiled back.

Theo’s father stood up and finally spoke, his tone was dark and I felt power on a whole new level radiating off him.

“I think it’s time that you left this house.” He grunted at her.

She growled and whined, “But I-“

King Kai cut her off, “It’s quite clear that Theo’s attention is elsewhere and that he’s building a bond with Lexi.” He narrows his eyes at her.

“In the time of me sitting and talking to you, why didn’t you tell me that Theo would be bringing back a she-wolf?” She hissed.

“Her name is Lexi, not she-wolf!” Theo snarled at her.

“Kai and I hadn’t said anything because we wanted to see what Lexi’s reaction would be when she sees you throwing yourself at her mate like a dog. She got territorial so it’s clear to us that she is being called to our son. And we aren’t going to let some mutt like yourself get in the way of their calling!” She howls at Cordelia.

I felt kind of bad for Cordelia because it seems that they know her quite well but judging by their hostility towards her I’m assuming that she’s done something to make them not want her here, and they seem to enjoy my presence. I must be special enough for them to disregard her for me, that made me feel ecstatic.

Cordelia looked at my smug face and she growled, her claws came out and she almost lunged for me but Theo stepped in front and pushed her to the ground. With one swift move she was on the ground, coughing at his force.

“That was a bad move, Cordy!” He roared at her.

He arched his arm behind him to guard my body as Cordelia stood up, her face was red from anger and embarrassment.

“You’re going to regret this, all of you are.” She sneered before limping out of the room.

“Wesley, please escort this thing out.” King Kai had ordered Wesley.

He then turned to me, “Miss Button, I am so sorry for how our introduction has been, me and my wife didn’t intend on meeting you like this. My name is King Kai Lightwood and my beautiful wife is Queen Tiana Lightwood, but you can call us Kai and Tiana.”

His tone had become gentler to how he spoke to Cordelia, he even smiled at me as he squeezed my hand. I felt quite confused and angry and shy at the same time. After a few seconds of looking at him blankly I quickly blinked myself to wake myself up and shyly smiled at him.

“Sorry my mind went blank for a few seconds, you can call me Lexi. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Kai.” I blurted out as Theo pulled me closer to him and kissed me on the cheek.

I then sighed shakily, “I don’t know what came over me, I know it wasn’t really my place to behave that way towards Cordelia since I don’t know her and I’m meeting you and Queen Tiana for the first time but my wolf wasn’t happy with the way she was throwing herself at Theo.”

I sheepishly rubbed my neck as I smiled. Everyone in the room let out a soft laughter, Queen Tiana turned my face with her finger so that I look at her as she speaks to me,

“Like Kai had said, please call me Tiana. Also, you have every right to fight Cordelia off my son, after all you are being called together by the moon. Cordelia is a bad person; me and Theo’s father have never liked her. However we like you, your energy shows what kind of person you are and we feel happy in your presence. We feel that you are perfect for our son. So please, don’t feel the need to be coy or feel like you’re not good enough for us or our son.” She blurts out as she smiles and gestures towards me and Theo as she speaks.

I was shivering from the rain and from the heated commotion we just had, I felt Theo look at me and my body before exhaling.

“If everyone is okay with me taking Lexi up to my room, I’d like to look after her. She’s been through a lot and she’s shivering from the rain.” My heart skipped when he said, ‘I’d like to look after her’.

“Of course, it was lovely to finally meeting you, Lexi.”

Kai gestured Theo to lead me out of the room, so Theo started to march out of the living room while pulling me along with him. He kissed my hand before throwing me over his shoulder, I squealed at his sudden motion like a piglet and he laughed at me as he spanked my butt.

He locked his bedroom door as he set me down on the floor, holding my hand. My heart started to beat fast as I knew what he was going to do. He backed me to the bathroom door and rested both of his hands at the side of my head on the door. We were staring at each other for a few moments and there was a smile tugging on his face while I was stood breathing like I had been running a marathon.

He leans in and gently bites my earlobe, “I love it when you become a jealous little wolf.” He giggles into my ear as I clench at his motion.

I hissed at him, “I wasn’t jealous.”

He laughs at me as he circles my tummy with his finger, “Yes you was, jealous little wolf, I could feel jealousy radiating off your aura.”

“I was furious, not jealous.” I admitted.

His circling on my tummy became tracing towards my chest. My breathing became heavier and I closed my eyes. I tried to control my breathing but the closer he got to my chest, the more I started to feel like I was on drugs.

His mouth came crashing down on mine as he grabbed my waist with his other hand, he moved his mouth down to my chest and slowly slid his finger inside my bra. He circled by breast and something had gotten hard against my leg.

“Theo…” I whimpered as he licked my hard n****e.

He didn’t laugh like he normally does, he was serious. I ran my fingers across his body under his shirt and he pressed into me harder than he had done and moved his mouth back up to mine before kissing me harshly. I opened my mouth so he could slide his tongue to dance with mine. Growls with satisfaction escaped both of our throats.

I grabbed his hair and pulled his head back, I pushed him off me as hard as I could before I threw my top off me. He growled at the fact I had gotten violent with him but then couldn’t take his eyes off my chest, he looked like he was in pain.

“Lexi, be careful.” He warned me.

I giggled at him before taking my jeans off, as I continued to give him a sexy strip tease me slammed his fist against at the bathroom door.

“F*ck.” He whined.

I slid my fingers under his shirt again and he grabbed my wrist and pinned them above my head as he nuzzled his face into my neck.

“I told you to be careful, Sunshine. I’m fighting Ripper real hard to not pounce on you.” He growls as he sucks on my earlobe.

I whimper under his touch, I tried to move my arms but his grip is too strong. He slides one hand down to my waist as he continues to keep my arms pinned above me with one hand, the further he gets to my hips the more I shiver at his touch. He was smiling as his mouth moved closer to my lips. He was teasing me and it was driving me crazy, I wanted him to slide his fingers inside my panties but he just held my waist.

“Theo, please.” I begged him.

“Please what?” He asked me as he nibbles on my neck.

“I want you to feel my arousal.” I whispered as I bit my lip.

His eyes darkened on me and he moved his hand from my waist to my neck and gently cupped it.
