Intro In this world, we all are bound to meet someone who will change our lives forever. Someone once told, We can't change the love the in our hearts that was destined to meet another, Even if that love is Forbidden. Ray Pov I was packing thing to get ready to leave my life behind for my mother. She married a man 1 year after my father died. I built a very good life here and now she is taking me away from it, my friends, my boyfriends and my school. "Ray are you let's go we are going to be late for the airport" my mother said, i just rolled my eyes at her. I taped up my boxes and stacked the car trunk, I closed the door hard and got into the front seat. I plugged my headphones on and played my favorite song, Ordinary by Alex Warren. The drive was 2 hours to the airport, i stared out of the window watching building and birds fly by. As i got lost into the song i suddenly felt a hand on mine, i looked at mom and paused the music. "your step father has a son, i would like for you two to get along" she spoke " why, you made me leave my life behind for someone i never met yet, you want me to get along with his son, yeah no thanks" I pu my headphones back on and continued the song. A few minutes later we arrived to airport, i sat there with my luggage while mom went get check in and paid for any extra weight. She came back and sat down next to me. I dare not look at her but i heard her sigh "ray i have been a single mother for a year, since your father died, I deserve happiness too, but what i am doing is for you as well, you will be transferring into the school of dreams. My husband got you into that art school you loved in New York." Now I am interested but I am still mad at her "Yeah, I understand you deserve happiness mom, but did you think about mine, you know i have a hard time making friends and i left my boyfriend behind. I finally made friends and had to leave them behind, to struggle to start all over again" i said with tears forming in my eyes "yes i know and I'm sorry but you're a strong girl Ray, my strong girl" she hugged me. "The flight to New York is ready for boarding. I repeat the flight for New York is ready for boarding," the person through the microphone said. We gathered our stuff and made our way to the gate, we placed our luggage by customs and passed through the scanner, Once cleared we boarded the flight . "ladies and gentlemen please fasten your seat belts as this flight will be two hours and minutes, we are about to take off, please make sure all devices are off or switched to airplane mode thank you" with that flight attendant made her way to back and with that our journey began. I suddenly began singing Empire State of Mind in my head throughout the whole flight and as the plane was about i hit the chorus of the song, In New York concrete jungles where dreams are made of, there's nothing you can't do. we existed the flight and made our way out of the airport, when we came outside, i saw there was a black SUV and a man holding a sign with our names i looked at my mom, "oh i forgot to mention, hes rich" my jaw dropped as she walked passed me. we piled into the backseat and diver drove off after putting out luggage in back, i gazed out the window looking at this big city in front of me, i can't believe i am here. We drove for a while before entering a different part of New York, It was a gated community full off mansions, villas and condos. i started to ask myself how rich is my moms husband. Soon we pulled up to big black gates, the drive spoke on his walkie talkie, and the gate open. Damm that some Fancy s**t no lie. When we pulled into the driveway , there were three people waiting for us, a man in a suit which i am guessing is mom's husband and the other two looked like butlers. The younger boy was very handsome, with his brunette hair and blue eyes, he is at least 6'2. We got out and my mom immediately when towards him "Ray this is your step father, James" he smiled at me but i stretch my hand out for a hand shake, he frowned but took it, my mother looked disappointed with me, thats what she gets for not telling ke anything until now. " where is Conrad?" my mother asked, i am guessing that his son. "hes in his work office" he said, wow at least i will have some peace of not having to deal with him. "come Ray i will show you to your room" my mom said as we walked off together, we proceeded upstairs. Jeez its two flight of stairs, I'm already tired, as we came of onto the second floor, we approached a white door. "this one is you, opposite you is Conrad's room" i looked behind me, great just my luck. She opened it and my eyes went wide, it was huge, the walls were black and white, i had a walk in closet, my bathroom had space for 23 people, and I had very own art studio with everything inside, canvas, all the different paints and brushes. I felt like i was dreaming, i turned and hugged my mom, then she closed the door and left. I sat on the bed unlocking my phone trying to check my best friend and boyfriend's story but i cant see anything which is weird.
