Over Me

Chapter 1

I was born year 2006, January 15. My neighbor says I have a twin sister, but she died, I'm asking my parents if it's true but they are always reprobates.

I had a vacation here in Thailand with my mom and dad. I always asked them if I'm the only child or not but every time I put that topic they always say "you're enough baby girl, okay? Your mom and dad love you so much".

But something went strange when I looked at their eyes. Especially mom, I saw her eyes burning full of anger while dad? He's calm like there's nothing happened in the past.

"Don't you wanna have another daughter?"

I asked her with a big smile.

"Chloe, remember that your dad and mom are contented to have you?" my mom replied.

She smiled at me, while I gave her a fake smile.

She holds my hands and kissed my cheeks.

"Yes, baby you're always at the top." 

A day passed, my mom and dad are not at home. I decided to walk around in my parents' old house.

I was born in the US that's why I don't know that my parents have an old house here in Thailand.

While I'm walking alone through our garden, I noticed something went strange.

"It's too cold here" I complained about what I felt about the weather.

I started walking again, and then I felt someone is following me, I think he or she was already nearly at my back.

"Is there anybody here?!" I shouted.

I turned my eyes around, but no one is there. I quietly walked again around 5 pm turning 6 pm that time.

The wind blew even colder and stronger and I'm now far at my house. I escaped from coldness in the garden, but it's more getting colder when I'm going nearer to the gate.

I'm not scared that time cuz my mom and dad said 'the more you got scared, the more the spirits will come.'

Instead of walking silently in our garden, I sat on the grass path at the side of the gate. I see all people passing outside.

While I'm sitting, I'm looking at the sky and it's getting dark, I'm excited cuz my parents are coming home until suddenly.....

"Go inside the house" someone whispered.

I looked around, but literally, no one is there.

"Who are you?! Please be aware that our place is too dangerous for someone like you! So please get out!"

I shouted, but I don't see a person in our place. I did act so d*mn crazy.

A moment after, someone suddenly knocks loudly at the gate and then called a familiar name, 'Rija'.

I wondered why he called me Rija.

"S-sorry, I-i'm Chloe and you?" I freakishly passed a query.

"What?! Are you kidding me?!" He asked again.

"N-no" I replied confusingly.

I don't know what is happening here, is this a prank?

"Hey Rija I'm Kyle don't you remember?!" he shouted.

"I'm not Rija! Why'd you keep calling me Rija!" I shouted too, he's so annoying, O never met this boy ever since.

"What the f... Rija just a year on states you have already forgotten me?! Is this a prank?!"

"who the heck is Rija?! I'm not Rija are you crazy?! Gosh, you're so annoying! And why are you shouting you bustard?! Are you pranking me?!" I madly shouted at him like I'm so irritated.

"D*mn, is this true? Or do you just lose your mind? I'm Kyle! Don't you remember me? Or you're not her?" He gently asked with a little sweat on his eyes.

Is he crying? But why?

a tear dropped on his eyes while saying, "After a year on states I missed her" he hugged me tight like he's comfortable with me. "If you're mad at me because I left you here alone, I'm so sorry, if you wanna forget me, ok then, I just wanted you to know that I missed you," he said and wiped his tears.

I look back at my house. And Kyle walked away.

I have to go inside the house cuz it's getting dark and I need to go upstairs to my bed but before Going up the stairs, I heard a loud bang in the kitchen. When I entered the kitchen...

"So unlucky!" I complained

I saw the broken bottle of red sauce, so I quickly pick up a towel and a garbage bag to clean the mess up. I'm not done with whipping the floor when the doorbell rings so I ran quickly to the door cuz I thought it was my parents but no one is outside. I got confused so I go back to the kitchen. I saw a clean and tidy floor and I got much confused.

I slowly walked through our bathroom door to get the garbage bag but I got so much scared when I saw the towel inside the bathroom and the mirror was covered by that red sauce. I looked at the mirror and saw my face was covered by so much blood. I ran out of the house with the garbage bag and walked to our garden again to throw it at the back of the house. While I'm walking something was wrong cuz the temperature was getting colder and colder and colder till I reached the huge garbage bin, and at the back of it, there's a small stock room. Before I got conscious I heard a whisper again saying "get in there" that makes my heart beat faster.

A garbage bag at the side of the door was moving so looked closely but scared, but I was so curious what is goin' on so I looked more closely.

A rat jumped at my foot and caused a loud shout from me.

Made me sigh and say "it was just a rat"

I'm still curious about that old frail stock room so I tried to open it.

"I can't push it!!" I sufferably grumbled

I pushed it a lot harder and harder but I still can't

"CHLOE!!!" My mom shouted from the front door.

They're at home! I'm so happy to hear they're at home cuz I've been waiting for them and they took so long. I ran through the front door but they're not there, only the plants hanging and pot with flowers waving because of the strong wind, so I spook inside to see them, they are not on the couch! I walked through their bedroom, walking through noisy stairs I saw the door of their room was open but when I simply walked in, they are also not there.

"where are they?" I asked myself in my mind.

I walked through the kitchen. Going down the noisy stairs again.

"WHAT?!" I shouted

I saw that red sauce with broken glasses on the floor causes my heart to beat fast again, it looked just like before "so confusingly, how could that be? Am I dreaming? Oh god, Chloe! You're imagining again!" I told myself. But am I?

"let me handle it for you hmm" a whisper spoke again.

It was really scary until I realized someone is in this house. I run on stairs to go to my bedroom but I slipped a little and my foot hurts. I still ran through and get to my bed, I breathe so deeply when I thought I escaped. I got my bandage on the drawer to heal my foot but someone whispered AGAIN.

"are you ok?" A gentle girly voice I heard asking.

"GET OUT OF MY HOUSE, I TOLD YOU THAT THIS HOUSE IS TOO DANGEROUS FOR YOU TO LIVE IN, SO GET OUT!!"

"I bet you can't" she answered.

Shocked! Yeah, I was so shocked that the girl's voice answered. So I got scared like a 7-year-old kiddo

"c-cant what?" I asked her back.

"look at you. At the mirror" she answered, so I slowly turn my head to look at the mirror

I got so d*mn scared when I saw my younger me it was like I was only 5 years old.

"w-what the....." I nervously whispered.

"do you know me?" She asked like a demon

"tell me who are you?!" I asked painted my face full of scare and curiosity

That whisper laughed like a cute small DEMON

"TELL ME!!!. how could you know my name? Are you with me through all this time? Why are you makin' be scared?" I asked her, I begged if she answers me.

"you have so many questions, Chloe!" She answered.

"JUST ANSWER ME!!" I shouted

A tear dropped from my eyes without knowing why. Am I scared? Or do I just know her? I felt something in her so differently, I'm so scared but I'm... I'm..... I felt like..... She was my good friend but...

"You are me and I am you" she softly spoke

"what?" I asked her.

"you're so slow Chloe" she answered but her voice was fading.

My headaches were like she's turning me around till I heard my mom crying. Is this true? What is happening?

Whisper: *slightly laughed "hey Chloe look at me"

The world seemed to stop with the mirror in front of me... It's me and it's talking and moving but I'm not, like duple ganger?

"hope you now understand" she slightly laughed again

Someone is knocking on the door so hard and fast "CHLOE MY DAUGHTER!" it was my mom shouting but I don't wanna believe it, half of my body wants to open the door but half of it wants to talk to that girl

"go ahead Chloe see you next time, open the door, you're free honey," she said.

The door quickly opened and my mom entered. She's so scared, she hugged me tight and say "honey are you ok? Were calling you for so long outside, why didn't you answer ". 

Will, I tell my parents about what just happened or not? But I can't what if they won't believe? I better not say. I bet they won't believe it.

 "I'm fine mom, I'm just listening to my music with my earphones" I hugged her back and say "thank god mom you're back " I gently told her as nothing happened.

 My dad was curious looking at my whole room, does he see something or what? What if he knows? Or do they know? He walked through the mirror where a duple ganger appeared again but it seemed like he see nothing in the mirror. That duple ganger stared at me full of anger. My dad walked towards me.

 "let's go honey I bought some pizza for you" he allured.

While eating my dad asked me "this coming school year would you like to study here?" I looked at his eyes while thinking if I wanna go back to the states because of what happened but... I wanna know, what if it's just a dream or just hallucination maybe I'm just sick, what about that boy? Will I go back to the states?

 "I know what you're thinking" that whisper spoke.

"Umm, dad?" I called him.

"yes, honey?" He answered.

"Is it fun here?" I asked.

"Nothing bad will happen if you'll try" he answered again with a smile at the end.

"Ok then, I'll try to have new friends here, since we're goin' to live here for a long time right?" I said.

"Yes honey, just don't hesitate to talk to us if you have a problem" my mom gently said.

This is such a great blessing to have them both in my life, I bet they can protect me.

"I wish I was you Chloe" I heard her whisper again with a lonely voice. Who is she? Am I the only one who heard her? Why? Is she a ghost? Do I have a third eye? I have a lot of questions but I think only that girl can answer.

"Chloe, we'll go to school tomorrow for enrollment, are you ready?" My dad asked.

 "Yes daddy I'm so excited!" I answered.

That night when I was walking on stairs going to my room, I'm thinking about that girl when suddenly I felt someone hold my foot so I quickly turn it up nervously, nothing is there, even a rat or cockroaches. Is that girl...?

I continued walking, is she connected to that boy? Is she different from me or she's just copying my face? Arggg! I have so many questions, why am I so comfortable right now?! The heck is happening?!! What if I will call her using my mind.

I'm now at the door of my room then I opened it.

"Hi Chloe" I saw a human sitting beside my bed playing with a cute stuffed toy, she has blond hair like my mom, wearing a colorful long sleeve.

"W~who are you?" I asked.

"Umm you, what I know what you're thinking every second" she replied. "You have a lot of questions right?" She annexed.

I nod while looking at her, she looks just like me and my mom.

"Yes I look just like you, I'm Rija, your long lost... Twin sister" a hot tear dropped from my eyes down to my cheeks and went down again to my pale lips. Why do I wanna hug her tight?

She stepped two times toward me and hugged me tight, more tears came out. This feeling I think I just missed? Why? Is this true?

"Yes sis, this is true" she answered. " I know what you're thinking, I'm always at your side, I missed you!" She said.

"I don't understand!"

 "Let me tell you about everything" 

I'm so excited to hear the story like I wanna know my past, did I forget something at my past or they didn't tell me everything about my past but someone knocked on the door "Chloe?" My dad called.

"Hide me!" She silently shouted at me so I opened my closet "hide here" I told her.

She's now hidden so I opened the door.

"Dad!" I pleasantly Come up to my dad.

"Who's you're talking to?" He asked. What I'm going to do? He heard me.

"Talking to?, What do you mean? I'm alone here, dad doesn't make me scared" I replied.

"Chloe I heard you saying 'yes sis, it's true" he acted like a girly and I chuckled. But what I'm going to say? She heard rija not me! "Tell him you're practicing how to act" rija came out of my mind like she was talking to me using her mind too.

"Dad I'm just practicing how to act" I just told him.

"Ohh so you wanna be an actor?" He inquiry.

"Y~yeah" I freakishly replied.

He stepped toward me and hugged me.

"Nice dream baby, keep it up" he kissed me on my forehead and say "good night, have a nice dreamy night" I acted like I chuckled and answered, "good night too dad, sweet dreams too". He walked out of my room so I got a deep breath out.

"Oh god," Rija came out. "Why are you hiding from dad? I thought we're twins?" As I gave a query.

She looked down like a sad and depressed lady saying "long story" maybe it's a very long sad story, why would they hide it from me? But at least I know I have a twin sister.

I sat beside my bed and she sat beside me, she moved away so that she can lay down on my lap, "look at there" she pointed at night glowing stars at the roof "you know what, only that stars are with me, when I'm alone I only wish it was my family"

I looked at her saying "now I'm here you don't need to be lonely anymore".
