Chapter 4

Kristie’s POV:

“I want to meet him.” Caleb looked at me worried. I wasn’t scared at all and honestly, I’m happy I know why I feel like this now. I thought I was going crazy.

“I had the same feeling Bec did, but I thought it was from everything that happened.” He pulled my hand into his and his eyes changed to a bright and glowing green with yellow specks.

“My name is Nash. I’m happy we found our Luna. I will love and protect you till the day I die.” He kissed my cheek then pushed his face into my neck, inhaling every scent he could. He pulled back and smiled.

“I’ll see you soon my love.” Then he went back and gave Caleb control.

“That’s not exactly what I meant, but I’m happy to have met him. He seems sweet. But I wanna see the real thing. That could of been a trick.” I said. Becca came to my side and looked back at the guys.

“I’m sorry but I’m with Thumper on this one.”

“Thumper?” They said in unison.

“Hey now, her nickname is Bambi so hush.” They both started laughing and couldn’t stop a couple tears from falling.

“Okay, okay. In all seriousness, we can’t exactly show you our wolves in here. We would destroy the hotel. Once you’re out, we will show you. Okay?” Caleb said. Becca and I looked at each other and at the same time replied, “Fine.”

About a week had gone by, and while I was still pretty sore, I was able to get up with the help of Becca and Jasper. Caleb wasn’t around as much the last few days, he had business to take care of. Caleb and Jasper had explained almost everything to us about werewolves, all accept the marking and mating part. Becca and Jasper had had s*x already so I guess the mating part was done, which seemed easy enough, but I was lost on what marking was. I had heard Dr. Lucy bring it up to Caleb saying it would help me heal, but he didn’t want to without me being okay with it. That made me worry.

“Hey Jasper, can you explain marking to me, I’m tired of being confused.” I asked.

“No can do, thump thump.”

“I’m sorry what did you just call me?” I almost yelled. Becca fell out of her chair she was laughing so hard.

“If I wasn’t in a hospital bed, I’d kick your ass. But explain, now.”

“I really can’t Kristie, that’s Calebs job.” He paused.

“Buuuuttttt, I can explain it to Becca and you can pretend to not listen.” Jasper said all too excitedly. Becca on the other hand was all ears and anxiously waiting for what he had to say.

“Well, you do or don’t have to have s*x to mark your mate. But it makes it a lot better if you are.” He took Becca’s hand and pulled her close to him. He brushed her hair away from her neck and gently kissed the soft spot on the side towards the back. Becca let out a small moan and I almost gagged.

“Hush, then, I’ll extend my canines and when your mate is at their climax, you dig your teeth in. It can cause some crazy things to happen to your body.” He kissed her neck again and let her go. Becca sat down immediately and looked at me with flushed cheeks.

“What happens after that?” I asked.

“Can we mark you back? Becca asked.

“Unfortunately, no, you can’t. You two are human. Now if we changed you, then..” he cut himself off and facepalmed himself.

“Well, I let too much out. Kristie, you need to rest. Becca and I have some things to discuss.”

“I gotta learn to stop talking to myself,” Becca whispered in my ear. I giggled as I saw Jaspers eyes turn white.

“Caleb is on his way. We will wait until he is here.” He said.

“Thankyou guys. For everything.” With that, I closed my eyes and waited for Caleb. I must of dozed off because I woke up feeling sparks inside my whole body. I opened my eyes and saw Caleb laid on the bed beside me with his arm around my waist. I tried to move and he tightened his grip, causing me let out a small cry. He opened his eyes and sat up quickly. He removed his arm and lifted my shirt to make sure my gash was okay.

“It’s okay, you didn’t mean to.” I said trying to reassure him.

“No, I’m sorry. I didn’t even think about it. I’ve been so caught up trying to make sure everything is ready for you I forgot about your injuries momentarily and I’m so sorry for that.”

“It’s okay, really.” I paused, I couldn’t deny the feeling that I was getting. I looked at him with eager eyes.

“You can lay back down if you want. Just don’t hold me there.” I giggled as he laid back down. We talked for hours.He asked me many questions. He asked how old I was, I’m 22 years old and turns out, he’s 29. His birthday is 3 days before mine which is October 1. Both of our favorite colors are teal and mint green. Our favorite food is spaghetti, which I couldn’t wait to finally make again. He loves animals like me and wants to have a rescue one day. It was like we were literally made for each other. We talked about our families and our favorite hobbies. I loved horse back riding and he lives going to rodeos. We seemed like we matched perfectly.

I glanced at the clock and realized we had been talking for literally five and a half hours. And it seemed like it had been only minutes.There were other things I wanted to ask, but I didn’t know how to bring them up.

“I know what you want to ask, don’t forget I can read your mind.” He said. I had to remember to block out my thoughts.

“So I’m your mate, correct?”

“Yes.”

“Jasper was talking to Becca about mating and marking and I overheard the conversation.”

“And?”

“He said she could mark him if he changed her. He cut himself off after that but I could tell she had a lot of questions. He got in touch with you after that and they left.”

“I see. So what do you want to know?”

“Are you going to change me? Into what you are?”

“How about we discuss that when we get there babe.” He never called me babe before and it made me blush. He kissed my cheek and went to the bathroom.

Calebs POV:

“Jasper, why did you open your f*****g mouth? Now Kristie is asking about marking and being changed.” I said through the mink link.

“Look, Bec wanted to know and she’s my mate. I’m not going to lie to her. I may have gotten carried away but I didn’t speak to Kristie about it.” He had a point, but something was still off.

“Did she ask you about it, or did Becca? Answer truthfully.” I used my alpha tone so he had to tell me.

“No fair dude. Fine. Kristie asked but I told her I couldn’t tell her. So I told Becca and she just happened to listen.”

“I am going to kill you Jas!”

“Sorry bro, you’ll be okay.”

He cut off the mind link and I stepped out of the bathroom. Kristie had fallen asleep so I pulled up a chair and sat beside her. I wanted to lay with her but I didn’t want to hurt her anymore. I rested my head and eventually fell asleep.I woke up to Jasper tapping my shoulder and Becca eating breakfast with Kristie.

“Why didn’t you wake me?” I asked.

“I told them to let you sleep, but Jasper wouldn’t shut up.” Kristie replied.

“What time is it?”

“It’s almost eleven a.m.” Jasper said.I nodded my head and stood up. I leaned over and gave Kristie a kiss on the forehead and took some of her eggs.

“Hey! If your hungry, eat off your own plate!” She snatched her tray and pointed to the one beside my chair.

“I like yours better though.” I replied as I continued to eat her food. She huffed and crossed her arms. She gave the saddest puppy dog face and I caved.

“Fine. I’ll eat mine.”

“Ha. I know who will be winning arguments from now on.” Kristie said with a teasing tone. Then she winked at me. Dr. Lucy came in shortly after we finished eating and checked Kristie’s injuries.

“Well Kristie, it seems the medicine is doing its job. You should be able to leave this afternoon.” I quickly stood up and walked over to Jasper.

“I need to take care of a few things before we take you home. I’ll only be an hour or so.” I went back to Kristie and gave her kiss on her cheek and left.I quickly mindlinked Jacob and Desi and had them meet me at the other hotel room. I went into the room and they were both seated professionally waiting for orders.

“Look, a lot of things are going to be changing for our pack. Changing for the better. First things first, I want you two to stop acting like soldiers. Your allowed to speak, carry on conversation, whatever you want when your not with me. I would like you both to go back to Georgia and get the house cleaned. Have the Omegas do it and take the rest of the day to yourselves. We will there within one or two days.”Jacob looked at me then at Desi, then back at me again.

“Seriously Alpha?” Desi asked.

“Oh for Goddess sake, yes! And please call me Caleb. Only address me as Alpha when we are having a meeting or with high ranking pack members or elders. Strictly professional. Got it?”

“Yes Alpha! Uh, Caleb?” They both said in unison.

“Alright, go home and get ready. Your Luna and female Beta are coming home. Everything has to be perfect.”

“Sounds good, we will link you with any questions or last minute details.” Jacob and Desi quickly left the hotel, I saw them shift into their wolves at the tree line and they were gone. I knew I had to show Kristie Nash fully before she would accept me, same with Jasper. It was going to be difficult, and if she rejected me, I would die. I just hoped she would accept me for what I am.
