Song Recommendation: we go down together by Dove Cameron An aristocratic truth? Flowers always work in the art of wooing.. She pushed the door open before she spent another five minutes pacing and dithering. He had sent her flowers and a note and she had the sudden urge to see him, to hug him. His room was overly and rather gaudily decorated in deep blue. It was big and perfectly organized, his typicality, He stood just beside the head of his massive bed and turned abruptly at her arrival. He wore just his breeches and no shirt. She noticed. A bit too much noticing. He c****d his head to the side and she realized he must be expecting her to say something seeing as she had barged into his room. She looked around for encouragement, her eyes roaming and taking in the large space, her gaze landed on a portrait, potraits actually, even more beautiful than the ones down the hall. The first one she noticed was of a woman, the Greek olive skinned woman she had seen in the paintings a few days ago. In contrast to the happy picture, she looked a bit sad in this one. Her eyes skipped to next one, it was a little boy, certainly not more than three, green eyes like his, and brown hair, so it couldn’t be her husband, and judging from the color of hair it wasn’t his brother as well. He cleared his throat and raised that damn brow of his, seeking a declaration of reason on why she barged into his lair, she breathed to calm her nerves and She couldn’t help but be aware of the scent of sandalwood and lemons lingering in her nostrils, a unique smell she identified as his. it was somewhat sensual and quite alarming how often she warmed into it. “How pleasant a surprise” he said flashing her a dimpled smile “if it isn’t the lamb in the Lions very Den” He wound that brow high up and she just wanted to smother it down. “I saw— what you had brought up to my room” she said “The roses always work” he’s said more to himself than to her “I wanted to thank you personally— it meant a lot, and I—” she trailed off. She shut her eyes, this had seemed easy enough practicing it before the mirror. Now she couldn’t even form proper sentences. “ if you won’t speak, I will” he said looking impatient “I think we both know why you are here, and it’s not just to thank me madame wife” he said emphasizing the last word “you’re not so chaste as you make believe, infact I have a theory that you enjoy being tempted almost as much as I enjoy tempting you, wife” he finished stressing on the last word.
