Lucifer The light from the pearly gates beam into my eyes as I kneel . He wouldn't even let me step one foot into heaven I'm forced to plead out here in front of all these humans." please father" I beg " I just want one more chance I can not rule over hell any longer". I kept my head down hoping my father would take this as a sign of respect. This place was still the same stuckup place I was banished from. His deep flat voice booms into my ear drums " my son you wish for a second chance but do these humans get a second chance at living, you must learn to live with your mistakes". Typical of my father making it about the humans he so deeply cherishes. " Father I have seen the worst of the humans in hell I'm aware they live with their mistakes, but I am not them". Cursed to live forever I can't spend another minute in that fiery pit they call hell. I can't imagine seeing all of these humans bleak fears anymore, after all I'm an angel I wasn't made for this stuff. A period of silence follows before he finally speaks " very well my son I will grant you a chance at redeeming your soul, you've always been a charmer Lucifer". The light moves to my chest as I stand up and finally look at my father. His face looks older his white beard is longer but his sunken and tired blue eyes still filled with the hatred and disgust for me. I bow looking at the marble floor" thank you father you won't regret this" I say. I turned on my heels getting ready to fly back to hell when I hear my father yelling as I drop down " don't do anything stupid luci". Luci a name I hate, every letter more detestable than the last. I've been called a lot of things satan,prince of darkness,Morningstar and yet I hate none of them the way I hate that nickname. As my feet touch down on the cobblestone my right hand man Atlas comes to greet me. " so mr gloomy how'd it go?" I look over to him watching him for a second before i speak."It went well he said I can have a second chance, now I just have to figure out how I can redeem my soul and make it to heaven". He smiles at me " about that I might have a solution for you" he says before leading me over to the station where we watch the humans on the tvs . " I've been watching the humans pretty consistently as you know, and there's one human that peeks my Intrest and she should peek yours too". Atlas points to a woman with rich brown skin and green eyes, her hair went all the way down to her back, it was curly and jet black,she seemed pretty short only about 5'3 to 5'4 . She was gorgeous but I had no idea why he was pointing her out. I smack the back of Atlas's as he has his eyes focused on the screen. As his averts his gaze I ask " what's so special about her". "Well sir I've been watching her for a while and it seems like her soul is pure and that usually only happens once every 500 years this is your chance". Finally understanding what he's saying I start to walk towards my room getting ready to change as he follows behind. He wants me to kill her so she can help me, doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of a second chance? After thinking for a minute I finally stop walking. " if we kill her we have to be stealth so god doesn't know it's us." " yes sir I understand" Atlas says as he turns around getting ready to execute a plan I assumed he had. I trust Atlas enough to get the Job done if I didn't then he wouldn't be my right hand man. Finally alone in my room I head to my bed to take a quick shower and a nap as I wait for her to get to me.
