Chapter Two: Healing Sarah and Tyrene part 1

1206 Words
After hearing Odessa say that I look at Alpha Liam and I can see the anger in his eyes. He is struggling against his wolf for control, Liam's eyes keep going from his natural green eyes and his wolf’s yellow eyes. “Brea, Sandi needs you back at the hospital.” Suzie, one of the nurses, mind-links me. “Alright give me a second.” I mind-link back. “Alpha, they need me back at the hospital. Odessa you’re lucky I found the antidote against this Wolfsbane mixture.” I speak. “That’s fine, make sure those girls are okay.” Alpha Liam says. “Want me to walk you there?” Gamma Aaron asks. “I’ll be alright. I think Alpha needs you more. Thank you though.” I say smiling. I walk out of the basement when I hear Odessa calling after me. “Brea, I'm sorry. Please tell Sarah and Tyrene I'm so sorry and I love you girls.” Odessa calls out. “No thanks,” I say back. I leave the packhouse and run to the hospital. Sandi is waiting for me as soon as I enter the doors. “Come with me!” Sandi says frantically. “Okay,” I say following her. She leads me to the lab and gets excited. “Look! Before we wanted to test the antidote using the Night-Blooming Cereus, we tested it on a microscope slide. And look!” Sandi says excitedly. I looked through the microscope and Sandi placed a drop of Wolfsbane and Jade Vine on the slide letting me see the vicious swirling in the golden/turquoise liquid. “Why is it swirling like that?” I ask. “Well, Wolfsbane swirls on its own and since adding Jade Vine enhances the effects, it also enhances the swirling. But watch when I add the Night-Blooming Cereus tincture.” Sandi says. As she adds the tincture to the Wolfsbane and Jade Vine the swirling stops but it also separates the two and seems like it eats them. The color goes from a golden turquoise to a vibrant white, then clear as it looks to be cleansing the mixture of impurities. “Have you given this to Sarah?” I ask. “Not yet. I wanted you to come with me and tell Randell about what you found. And that you are the one that is saving Sarah’s life.” Sandi says smiling. “Okay let’s go save Sarah,” I say, smiling back. Sandi and I practically run to Sarah's room and while I explain the shot that Sandi is going to give Sarah, the doc gives her the shot. “Wow, you knew about Odessa having a shed full of wolfsbane and never told anyone? And then you used it against her. As much as I want to be mad that you didn’t burn it to the ground, I'm glad you were able to find a tincture to save Sarah. Thank you, I'm sure she’ll be glad you were able to be a major part in saving her.” Randell said. “I know she’d do the same for me if things were reversed,” I say smiling at Sarah who is now stirring after being out for eight hours straight. “Well, we are going to leave you and Sarah. I'm sure she’ll be fully awake in the next ten minutes. Call for me or one of the nurses if needed.” Sandi says and we leave. “I’m going to check on Tyrene,” I say. “Alright, that’s fine. Let me know if she needs anything.” Sandi says and I walk to Tyrene’s hospital room to find that she is awake and sitting up. “Hey, why didn’t you mind-link me when you were awake? I would’ve come straight to you.” I say when I notice that she’s shaking her head, and pointing behind me. I turn around and a rogue is standing behind the door holding it slightly closed. “What?! Who are you? And why couldn’t I sense you? You’re not a regular rogue.” I say sniffing the air and searching for his scent. “I wouldn’t be asking many questions if I were you. I’m not here for you? Now call your Alpha and don’t tell him that I’m here or Tyrene over here dies.” The rogue says while pointing back to Tyrene. I turn back around and there is another rogue standing next to Tyrene with a very concentrated syringe of Wolfsbane and Jade Vine. “Don’t hurt her. Why do you want to speak to the Alpha?” I ask. “Who are you to ask me questions? Aren’t you just a pathetic Omega?” The first rogue says. “Boss she doesn’t smell like an Omega.” Says the rogue next to Tyrene. The first rogue gets closer to me sniffing the air. I hid my scent again which I hadn’t realized I let slip. “You’re not an Omega, are you?” The leading rogue says. “I just came from the pack house. I was standing next to the Alpha and Gamma. Their scent is stronger than mine, so? Isn’t that how it’s supposed to be?” I say to them. Which thankfully they believed. “Call your Alpha. Don’t warn him.” The leading rogue says. I nod my head and mind-link the Alpha. “Alpha Liam. You’re needed in Tyrene’s hospital room. We have a bit of a rogue problem but don’t let him know I told you. They want you to come alone and not be warned that they are here. They’ll kill Tyrene.” I mind-link to Alpha Liam. “I’m on my way. Stay calm and don’t let them have any doubt about you or I’m sure they’ll try to kill both of you. The guards will have their scents masked. They won’t even know any of them are coming.” Alpha Liam mind-linked back. “Alpha Liam is on his way,” I say looking at the first rogue. “What took so long? You didn’t warn him, did you?” The boss rogue asks. “No, he just wanted to know why he was needed when he was in the middle of interrogating a prisoner. So, I told him that Tyrene had information on her attackers and was only willing to speak to the Alpha, alone.” I say making up something believable. “Ahh, using the one thing the Alpha wants against him. Good job, maybe you’d make a better rogue than Omega.” The rogue boss said smiling as he crept closer to me. Backing away from him I was forced back into the second rogue in the room, who then held my arms tightly, though I knew I could break his hold on me due to being an Alpha-Luna, I had to make it seem like I’m this fragile Omega that is afraid and timid. Just until I can find my mate who is destined to be an Alpha and I can finally be myself. Right as the two rogues pinned me between them, Alpha Liam barges into the room with eight of our special forces’ warriors.
