The Spirit Witch

Becoming High Priestess was never a job Aura wanted to take. She saw it as a way of conforming, and that was the last thing she wanted to do. Unfortunately, she was the chosen one, the only witch capable of displaying all forms of air magic. Even if she knew about the lies the old High Priestess, Amaya, had spewed to keep people in line.,"If you fraternize with the witches of other elements, it will be the cause of your death!", She said that constantly all the while meeting up with them secretly to find some orb. The legend says that when our mother witches found the stones that gave us our power, there was a fifth stone. The stone of the spirit witch. But no one knows anything more than that. They don't even know what power a spirit witch would have. Let's fast forward to the here and now. Where we find Aura staring intensely into the air stone like, she does every day. Hoping to find a new witch to save. Usually you find a new witch every few months, but it's been a year since she has found another. If no new witches are found, it could mean that humans are finding them instead. And if humans are finding witches before the High Priestess does, there is no telling what is happening to them. "SON OF A...", Shouted Aura throwing her arms in the air, her face contorted in anger.,"This doesn't make any...", In a hushed, whispered tone, the crystal interrupt's Aura's angered roar.,"A new witch has emerged near New Orleans" Aura's light blue eyes widened, and a smile crosses her pale face.,"Finally", she exclaimed.,"Alright, I have to get the bag, alert Anil, and make my way to the surface.", Aura muttered to herself, staring at her feet while she made her way briskly to her office. Aura has always loved saving new witches because it meant she got to go to the human world. It was so full of lights, colors, and strange foods like corn dogs and cheeseburgers. The human world was a place that was foreign to Aura because she had been born in the cavern. She was so used to the rocky walls that and strong winds that never ceased. She had seen all the different mosses that covered the ground and the yellow, white, and blue flowers that grew between the cracks in the cave walls. She knew all two-thousand bugs that crawled around by name. Going to the human world helped her escape the reality of her situation. That she alone was responsible for protecting a crystal from all that would do her people harm. After all, she was the High Priestess the All Mother to the air witches. When Aura reached her office, she noticed only one thing. The red scarf that she kept on the secret door flying around the room. Alerting her that someone had activated the elemental rooms command center. It had been a year since she last saw that scarf fly and she was conflicted by the thought of it flying once again. With er blonde hair was waving in the wind she grabbed her bag and entered the corridor. No matter what happened a year ago she still loved her sisters. As she entered she she placed her hands by her sides, palms facing forward, her fingers to the ground. She took a deep breath and pushed forward and a large gust of wind blew. The small lanterns on the walls collected the wind and the faster they swirled in them the brighter they shined. Aura put on a brave face and walked down the long hall ready to see her friends.
