Between Love and Education

"Life is a puzzle full of mysteries, we don't know what will happen tomorrow, all we know is today, because today we can do what we want to do". In a village on a small island in Indonesia, Qey, a 21-year-old teenager, was born into a simple but special family, blessed with much happiness, even though their family wasn't one that had everything. Qey is a teenager with sky-high dreams. She is ambitious in education and is currently pursuing higher education at a private university in a city far from her hometown. She is an independent girl who appears strong, but her heart is very fragile. She cries easily, is also a fearful girl, and what she fears most is loss... The end of the semester exam will be held next Monday. Usually during exams, Qey no longer has time for unimportant things, she will focus on studying and even stay up late. In a study room in the middle of a campus surrounded by several beautiful, tall buildings, that's where Qey studies... The phone rang. "Hello Qey, how are you doing there?" said a middle-aged man, whom Qey was looking at on her phone screen. "Hello Dad, Qey is fine here. How about you and the others?" Qey said. "Thank God, we're fine here too. When are you coming home, Qey?" "After final exams, Dad?" "Okay," said Qey's father as he ended the video call. Currently, Qey is in the end of semester 5, it doesn't feel like she has been studying at a university for more than a year. A week later after the exams passed, Qey's exam scores did not betray the results. Her hard work in studying was now rewarded with the scores she saw on her campus website. Qey's phone finally rang, apparently there was a call from her hometown. "Hello Qey, how are you?" said a woman who was around 39 years old. "Hello mom, I'm fine here, how are mom and everyone else doing?" said Qey. "We are fine here too, Qey." "Mom, my exam scores are out, the scores are good mom, not disappointing," Qey said in a very happy tone. "That's good, Qey, mom is also happy to hear that, oh yeah, when are you coming home?" Qey's mom said with a hopeful tone. "This afternoon, mom," said Qey. "Alright son, be careful on the road," said Qey's mom while ending the call.
