I grabbed my bag in a rush, I hope that Dain would not have followed. For some reason, he had seemed shocked when I announce what I was. That I was an alpha myself. Or perhaps that I was from Silverbane Pack? I don't know. But I would not let it stop me. With no mate in the way, I could easily run away.
Music ran through the air and that was the warning that the anointing will happen soon, I jumped from the window. The crowd surrounds the altar, and Dain with his Father stood atop, with his brother and mother behind on the sidelines. I look one last time, Dain's eyes were surprisingly on mine. Did he look angry at me? No, at his father. But his expression quickly changed as the ceremony began, and I turned as I ran. His gaze no longer on me, nobody following me as I took off in the forest. I ran to the border, and for a moment I felt the bond break slightly, I passed through the line of our territory before the new bond attaches to everyone. I was a rogue now. I could be killed, but I did not really care. I undressed myself a little away from the territory, put my clothes in my bag, and shifted in my wolf. The blue raven fur shone in the moonlight and my blue eyes seemed icier than before. My paws look like snow. I was quite beautiful and I'm sure it is weird the way my wolf is, but I found myself unique. I took my bag with my mouth and begun running from the place where abuse harbored. Where I grew in misery, I will not stay there another moment, and I was glad when I managed to run away from the place.
I don't know how long it had been since I shifted and ran, I stayed in my wolf in case I was suddenly in danger so I could protect myself better. Days and nights passed by and I didn't keep count of how many days had passed.
Today was particularly peaceful, I was near a lake. Drinking the cool water to calm down my thirst when branches cracked behind me and leaves squatch in noises. Those wolves really didn't want to be quiet, they intended to make noises to scare the prey. I guess I was the prey. I snapped my head towards the 6 muddy brown wolves, their eyes were red. Rogues. I was outnumbered and hadn't had a lot of experience in fighting. So I just had to wing it. Three of them growled, saliva dripping down on the floor with foam, their teeth bloody as if they had gone hunting but found something better - me. The one on the left jumps first, I dodge, but not fast enough for the second to attack. It's fang going through my neck in a hold, I shook and tried to free myself while pawing and hitting my nails the other wolves attacking. I blinded one of them, when I freed myself, I repeated his action. Biting his neck in a hold, and roughly tore his asking and fur from his neck. He fell, his breathing fastening before stopping. A third jumped, trying to paw me in the face but I dodge, another scratch me on my legs and tore my skin. I whimpered. The two others stayed put. While the two wolves attack me. I held one of their necks, shaking my head violently to try and rip its skin too, but held no chance. I let go, but quickly bit more, piercing through his main artery vein and left him to bleed out. All three jumped at once to attack me, but I took in a run. They followed, obviously. I was too injured, and I would make easy prey I guess.
I felt a shift in the air but didn't take too much attention to it as one of the wolves jumped on me. My wolf whimpered out in pain as the rogue bit into my neck once more. I tried to fight the other wolves as they fought with me, attacked me. I felt too weak. And it felt like that night again, where I fell bloodied and cold. A moment of distraction was enough for them to paw at my face, rendering me blind for a few seconds as I had to close my eyes. I managed to quickly get rid of them as I growled lowly at them, dangerously. My white paws were now red of the blood.
The wolf on the right jumped to attack me again but a grey wolf suddenly appeared, sinking its teeth into the rogue, instantly killing it. Then another 4 wolves arrived and killed the two others. They all turned to me. Shit... I walked into a territory...
I backed away, but I couldn't hide the sudden whimpered as my injured leg hurt every time I stepped on it. My neck was also bleeding profusely, and I felt dizzy. I would die, so they should just leave me to die. A black tall wolf appeared from the groups of four, standing in front of the three behind him. He was looking at the wolf in front of him, growling.
His growl stop suddenly when he met my eyes, but I was too tired to realized anything. He shifted and was given a short to him. His beta? shifted too, leaving the two warriors to stay in wolf form.
"Shift," The tall man said, his hair as black as the infinite darkness, his eyes a bright emerald. They were beautiful eyes. His skin tan, and building abs on his torso and arms. He looked very sexy. The power of the comment passed through her, he was an alpha, but she had never been compelled by an alpha order before, so why would it change. "Shift! Now!" he repeated, but I couldn't. I fell on my tummy. Tired. My eyes were heavy and my mind dizzy. I felt cold again. I closed my eyes briefly, but I opened them again when a hand touches me. "Shift, please," he said again, his voice strangely gentle. Like a warm day in spring. I wish I could... but I am too tired. The wolves behind him wondered why he had become so gentle so suddenly. And they knew he has never cared for a wolf like this before. The beta looked at the warriors, and understanding flashed through their eyes; he met his mate. I closed my eyes again, thanking for the last bit of warmth before i felt myself slipping into unconsciousness, my wolf shifting herself back to human by herself.
