Erik's POV:
It's been two hours I was left to my thoughts before someone w=broke me out of it with a knock on the door. It was one of the warriors telling me that The kings and Ilona were in the dining room, awaiting me for dinner. Good. Allows me to meet all three of them.
I quickly freshen up, washing my face and fixing my hair that had gotten messy from the number of times I passed my hand through my hair in frustration with my thoughts. I went downstairs, following the noise of where the light chatter could be heard. The dining room was, thankfully, empty except for the vampire, the wolf, and the hybrid. I scanned for her. And there she stood, with the exact features of a witch, the raven hair. That was usually a way to see who was a witch or a wizard. It was the most prominent feature of one. She seemed to have the icy blue eyes of the moon goddess and a pale complex of a vampire. Up close, she really did have the powers and abilities of all three. I could sense one of my own, and I could sense other species, vampires, and werewolves even more.
Looking more, she seemed to glow her. Something I hadn't seen in the vision in my cauldron. She had quite a beautiful aura. Teal, green, blue, and purple. All these colors made her look ethereal. Her eyes finally met mine as if she had just noticed that I was here. Her eyes widen before she stood up. Juan looked worriedly at her, and then looked at me. Nelo was watching me too.
"I have a third mate?" she mumbled in surprise. And I understood the glow. She was my soulmate. Now... that is even more intriguing.
Ilona's POV:
I giggled loudly at something Juan had said, Nelo rolling his eyes at the ridiculous joke. We talked some more. And more. Waiting for our invitee to arrive.
I hadn't yet realized her was here, hadn't smelled of sense him yet. But when I did, the intoxicating scent of wood and magic powder filled my nose. My eyes travelled to where the scent was. My eyes widen, and I stood up abruptly. Shocked. He was so handsome. His black hair, similar to mine only he didn't have the blue hues to them. His brown chocolate eyes, almost black were as captivating as the silver one of Nelo, and the green of Juan. Then my wolf howled
"mate! mate! we have a third mate!"
She seemed to yelped in happiness. Well, at least she was happy about having three beautiful specimens in the room, and all from a different race. "You're my third mate?"
His own eyes widened too as if he had just realised something. So I had 3 mates, well technically 4, but one rejected me. It was weird, but also, I was curious. This wizard had books about my bloodline and what I could be, what I am, and who I am. He was the answer to everything and anything.
"have a seat" I finally spoke again, he briefly nodded and sat down, with the other three boys. They were all looking at me as if trying to decipher the mystery behind me. It was a weird feeling. I did not very like to be watch and even more while I ate. "can you stop staring?" I said exasperating and annoyed.
They all suddenly looked away as if nothing happened and carried n with their meal.
None knew how to make or start a conversation and things became awkward in the dining room.
"So, Erik, can you tell us what you know about the Athas family?" Nelo finally spoke.
"On basic knowledge, the Athas family are descendants of the sister of the moon goddess, their blood mixed and bred with witches and vampires. And werewolves. Children from the moon goddess are the celestials but not many are born often. It is becoming very difficult for them to appear or even exist. Selene, the moon goddess, and Aisa, her sister.
" You are a descendant of Aisa, goddess of fate. Her lineage was forced bred with vampires, and wizards and witches as well as werewolves. Many of her children died giving birth to children, and the atrocity of it all was that Aisa forced them to breed with other species. So the vampires with the wolves, the wolves with the witches, the witches with the vampire, and the hybrid with hybrid and on. Until the line of werewolves, vampires, witches, and fate was created. Throughout the line, distant cousins would get together have children and repeat. Some children would have only one side, vampire, or wolf, or witch. Some would get two, or sometimes, they are born human. Killed for being human because the first person who begun all that was human at first, yes Aisa had a human child and forced her to those atrocities, She died on her third child who was a vampire. You, Ilona, is the first in history to have all three, you are strong. More powerful, and there is a chance that you may have the game of fate in your hands too, you might be able to control fate just like Aisa. Selene might favour you to fight off her sister, who likes to ruin her mating decision, choosing the fate of death for them too soon. So, Ilona, you may have the chance to counterattack fate with fate. There has never been someone born out of three, you are lucky. But, also, now that you have turned 18, now that your powers are out, you will be hunted for your powers. Some may want to use you as a baby machine - I swear that I will never let that happen to you, and I'm sure your other two mates can agree on that" Erik explained, finally everything out.
"Before I met the three of you, I had a mate that rejected me. Dain. From the pack, I ran away from. Since I mated to an alpha king, who, also has some magical abilities because he comes from one of the royal bloodlines, mated to the vampire king, who has lived longest than anyone before, and the last in his bloodline, all his family killed and crucified. And now, you. So is Dain supposed to be a special wolf or was he just a normal one. Something fate had to give for me to run away." I ask softly.
"Dain's family, from what I had gotten are not actual alphas, they are betas who overthrew their alpha two or three generations ago, and since then, all the beta children are alphas. They are nothing special Ilona. They are just imposters. Maybe your ancestor was giving you help thereby avoiding this kind of trash fate. Bur, after all, you are probably the beast she had tried so hard to create. The hybrid she so wanted, so perhaps she will make sure that you stay alive."
I nodded. It made a little sense as to why I survived the two times I was supposed to die. "It perhaps explains why I managed to survive on the two occasions I nearly died." I spoke and Erik nodded. "possibly." he responded.
The room began silently once again, as we all resumed our dinner, the conversation still in my mind, And I probably wasn't the only one with thoughts after thoughts forcing their way through their head.
