Jazmine (POV)
I know that Elder Mary woman said that they were going to find Xander innocent, but until I heard Link say the words I didn't believe it. A sense of relief washed through me. I waited with Link for Xander to return. When he walked through the door, I jumped up and ran over to him and threw my arms around him. He laughed and hugged me tightly.
"Everything is okay now, baby." "I'm here," he told me, kissing my head and lifting me into his arms.
The door opened and Jackalynn walked in with Elder Mary.
"I'm glad to see that you are capable of listening and staying out of danger," Mary said, smiling at me. "You look so much like your mother," she said, smiling fondly at me. There was no way she knew my mother. If she did, then she would know that I looked nothing like her.
