Third Person's P.O.V
Lyle had asked Jamie why Chrelia came to station number one instead of his booth.
"She looked like she had something to say to you."
"The school told them that we'll be shuffled. How'd she know I was the one behind that wall?"
"I didn't know she knows?" Jamie says, confused.
"If she asked you to come to booth 1, then she probably knows it's me. If she thinks that we've been shuffled, she wouldn't have come to you and just ask for permission."
"Oh,"
Jamie realizes then and his mouth formed an 'o'. Lyle looks at him in worry. The issue with Michelle hasn't been solved yet and it was eating Jamie inside. He was still deeply hurt but he also misses Michelle. He hasn't seen Michelle after their break up - seemingly break up because he had made sure to avoid Michelle.
He wasn't ready to succumb to his loneliness.
"I guess I should thank you too," Lyle says, taking a seat.
"What do you mean?" Jamie sits down beside his friend.
Lyle shots him a grateful smile before patting Jamie's back.
"It's too early to say but still." Lyle was being figurative and Jamie didn't appreciate it.
"Lyle, about me and Michelle," he decides to change the topic but he didn't mean to open that up. Though he thinks that his friend deserves to know, its' still too soon.
"I know," he was about to change the topic again when Lyles response made him stop before he could open his mouth.
"You? H-how?" he was bewildered.
"Amelia asked me to talk to Michelle that day."
"So you knew since that day?" Lyle nods.
"Yeah,"
"Sorry I didn't tell you." Lyle shakes her head and pats Jamie's back again.
"Even I know when it still hurts."
Lyle was too good to be true. Jamie thought Lyle would get angry but she didn't and that made Jamie tear up a little. Other than his heart breaking, he has gained a lifetime friend that is irreplaceable. Jamie wipes his tears away, and sniffs one time.
"I miss her, and I don't know what I did wrong."
Lyle doesn't know how to comfort a heartbroken friend. She's inexperienced when it comes to love and her own love story is still spurting, growing every beautiful and sad day. Right now, Lyle is experiencing something new and foreign and she's still assessing how to help and not break Amelia and Chrelia apart. But that could wait. Jamie is asking for her help, for her ears to listen.
"She's, I saw her with glasses. Not personally, just a picture. It made my heart ache more."
Lyle then remembers that Jamie likes girls with glasses. Who knew it was Michelle all along?
"I want her."
"Then what's stopping you?" Lyle asks.
"Her thoughts." Jamie answers without delay.
"What do you want to do now?" Jamie looks at Lyle, unsure too of what he wants to do.
"I'll see how things play out."
