THE JOURNEY AND SOJOURN OF ILIYA

It is Sunday, "wash your clothes and make sure that you are ready to go back to school today" said Muhammad, Iliyas' father. The school resumed in the past two weeks and Iliya is in trepidation of the severe punishment he will receive, if he resumes to school today, more especially from his brother Khalid, who is a staff there and a guidance to him. while he's waiting for his father, Mr Muhammad, who went to farm with intention to be back before 3:00pm, so that to take his son to where he's studying around 4:00pm, which is Dengi and is 7km away from Bagyar, some ideas begin to nudge Iliyas' mind, over a means of escaping from the punishment waiting for him at school. He begin to develop, some negative thought of running away before his father's return from farm. He then come to conclusion, that running away is the only way by which he can dodge the castigation waiting for him at school. ILIYA is a young boy of 14years old, who has never been to any place apart from his hometown, Bagyar and his place of study, Dengi. Hence, he has no experience of living with people of different background and ideology. He is the only son of his mother, however his father has some, for he (the father) is observing polygamy. The mother wants him to study whole heatedly, so that to become someone in the future and posses good character, as education is the most developmental means to revamp person's instinct. However, Iliya was no longer interested in studies, he just wants to live a life of swaggering, he claimed to be a nigga. Not knowing that the kind of attitude he wants to develop is typical example of nincompoopness and all sorts of negative value. But he do hide behind his brother Khalid, who is a staff is his school of study, and be proclaiming that Khalid is a person whose mind is a muskeg of mediocrity and wickedness, he was constantly torturing him and beating him all the time with no reason. As such, he don't want to go back to school again.
