Amara Collins, a compassionate nurse in New York City, has always played it safe, until one stormy night changes everything.

When she rescues a stranger, Damian Knight, from a near-fatal crash, she unknowingly ties herself to a man hiding powerful secrets. Damian isn’t just wealthy, he’s heir to a dangerous legacy, and someone wants him gone.

As Amara is pulled into his world of power, betrayal, and fate, she must choose: walk away or follow her heart into the unknown.

Because some souls aren’t just connected by chance… they’re bound by destiny.

The Night Everything Changed
The fluorescent lights of St. Grace Medical Center buzzed faintly above Amara Collins’ head. Her shift was nearly over, and exhaustion clung to her body like a second skin. She rubbed her temples, tossing her stethoscope into her tote. The night had been surprisingly calm. No traumas, no screaming families, just soft-beeping monitors and tired patients. She needed a hot shower, a soft bed, and silence. As she stepped outside, a cold wind smacked her in the face. Rain splattered the streets, and thunder rolled in the distance. She pulled her hoodie up and crossed the nearly empty road toward the bus stop. Then, screeching tires. A flash of headlights. Crash. A black luxury car slammed into a light pole, just meters from where she stood. Heart racing, Amara sprinted toward it. Smoke billowed from the hood. The windshield was shattered. The driver slumped over the wheel, unconscious, blood dripping from his head. She flung the door open. “Sir? "Can you hear me?” Her fingers pressed to his neck. Faint pulse. Without hesitation, she called 911. “This is Nurse Collins from St. Grace. Car accident. One victim. Male. Unconscious. Bleeding. Please hurry.” She leaned closer to check his airway, then paused. He was beautiful—even bloodied and unconscious. Strong jawline, high cheekbones, expensive suit. A ring with a strange crest gleamed on his hand. Suddenly, his eyes opened. “Don’t trust them…” he whispered hoarsely, gripping her wrist. “You’re already part of this.” Then he passed out. Amara stared at him, frozen in the storm, just as the sirens approached. She didn’t know it yet… But that night, fate had already chosen for her.
