Chapter 28 McDuff sat on a plain, uncomfortable iron bench outside Fodelson Prison, trying to keep his eyes away from the towering gray stones and heavy bars on the windows. Even the administration wing of this place was secured and guarded at all times. After all, the most dangerous criminals in all of London, and certainly some of the worst in all of England, were behind those thick walls. The past few weeks of waiting had more than halfway convinced him the walls were there to protect the inmates, not the general public. Surely even the most diabolical mind inside didn’t deserve the blatant manipulation his brother had been subjected to.
