CHAPTER TWELVE The hairs on the back of my neck stood on end and I danced away from the roots. Tegan caught my arm and drew me behind him as he glared at our foe. “We have nothing to say to Domini unless he demands we do another one of his errands. In that case, we’ll have to put it on hold until we’ve finished with our little adventure here.” The man shook his head. “That will not do, sir. Mr. Domini demands an answer immediately.” I jumped as I felt the roots climb up my feet. Tegan flung out his hands on either side of him and fireballs burst out of his palms.
