CHAPTER FIFTEEN We separated with Tegan taking the left-hand side and me taking the right. I followed the foundation wall closely, searching for something that would give us a hint as to what happened. At around the halfway point, I spotted a particularly dark spot in the ruins. “Tegan!” I shouted as I knelt on one knee. He hurried over to my side and I pointed at the darkness beneath some of the timbers and the remains of the wall. “That kind of looks like an entrance into the Vaults, doesn’t it?” Tegan inspected the area. “It may be but it looks too dangerous to investigate.” A noise behind us caught my attention.
