Amelia's first person point of view “Amelia Quin, you are fired from my company! Leave my office this instant,” I stood there in shock and disbelief as I stared at Mr.Ben, my boss. I couldn't understand why he would be so cruel and evil to fire me because I refused to do his bindings.I stared at the documents scattered on the floor and the memories of how I worked hard to get to this place played in my head like a broken disc. I can't afford to lose this job!My rents are due and I need my stable source of income.Why now?!I swallowed back the tears that threatened to fall off my eyes and gazed at the enraged man before me. “May I know why I am being dismissed from the company?” I asked in a firm tone, but inwardly I was trembling with fear and rage. He gazed at me for a second and for a split second I knew I saw his eyes fall on her chest. Clenching my hands tightly, I tried hard not to show how disgusted I was by his actions. “I don't have to give my employees reasons why I choose to fire them from work. Especially, when they refused to do what I asked,” He said referring to an incident that happened days ago. A short laugh escaped my lips as I couldn't help holding the anger anymore. “What is funny?” He asked in a dangerous tone.“Nothing sir. It's just funny that such a marvelous opportunity given to me slipped by me without thinking about the consequences of refusing it,” I said in a mock-like tone. I don't give a damn about the bullshit he said. All I needed was my money!“So? Are you trying to say that you realized what you did wrong?” He asked in a relaxed tone. I gazed at the ‘I got you now’ expression on his face, and clenched my teeth hard to stop myself from slapping his face.“Yes sir,” I replied calmly.“Good,” He nodded in satisfaction as he reached out under the drawer and took out 3 brown envelopes. “You should have made matters easier for me. Here are the salaries for your 6 months of work. I can't take you back, but I'll make sure to keep taking care of you,” He said, as he licked his lower lips. A forced smile curled its way through my face as I took the envelopes from the table and checked inside to see if the money was complete.And to my surprise, they were all inside!This disgusting bastard!I held the money tightly and turned to leave but his next words stopped me.“Why are you in such a hurry to leave? I thought we will have a little fun here? Or aren't you going to thank me for paying you in full?” He let out a small laugh as he stood up and made his way to my direction. I gazed at him for a short while and stared at the CCTV camera at the wall behind him. What does this fool think he's doing? His short hands reached out and they landed on my boobs. “Why don't we start_” Before he could finish his words, a loud crips sound echoed in the office followed by a heavy thud. I gazed at him expressionlessly as my right hand fell beside me. “f**k you,” I said coldly and turned to leave, but not before I stopped and gaze at the CCTV camera. I knew someone was watching. I removed my gaze from it and stepped out of the office.I made my way to my desk and arranged all my things in a box as though nothing happened some minutes ago. My colleagues noticed my actions but didn't say a word and instead focused on their work. I could feel their bad energy everywhere, and the next minute I stepped out of here. I will be the new spicy gossip in their disgusting mouth.A sigh escaped my lips as I took the box and walked out of the room, and just as I expected a loud laugh escaped from the room, which was then followed by silence . I stepped out of the company and took my phone out without a clue on who to call. I scrolled through the contact and sighed as I only had 3 contacts. My deceased mum's, my younger sister and my friend Rose.Rose and I have been friends since elementary school. A soft smile plastered its way on my lips as I clicked on the call button.It rang for a while before a weak voice answered, “hello?” A slight frown crossed my face, “Rose, where the hell are you? Don't tell me you're drunk?! This is 3pm!” I said through the phone with worry laced in my voice.After the last break up with her 4 years old relationship with her boyfriend, Rose decided to turn herself into a drunkard during the day and stripper during the night because she believed there was nothing like love anymore. “Who's this, hic?” Her sluggish tone suggested that I was right!She was drunk!“Where the hell are you?” I asked angrily and soon after a male's voice sounded from the background. “End the call b**h” It said and soon there was a beep.“Oh, no! Rose!!” I yelled out with fear laced in my voice. I quickly went to my track app and saw that she was in a bar! It wasn't far away from where I was. I stopped the next taxi and went to where she was. “Here is the money,” I paid the fare and turned towards the building before me. Just staring at it alone gives me goosebumps!How the hell did you end up here Rose?! I clenched my hands tightly as I made my way to the door. I had just opened the door when two people bumped into me, they were drunk. I quickly apologized and walked inside the place. Ignoring the smoke in the air threatening to knock me out, I looked around and caught a glimpse of a slender lady on the floor in-between a man's groin. I couldn't see what she was doing but I knew it was Rose right away!“Rose!”
