Chapter 8 The following day was mercifully overcast so Sebastian’s sunburned skin was given a reprieve. He worked hard with Coulson and Blackstone and the vegetable beds were now looking clean, tidy, and ready. They were building pathways between them with wood and stones, and this involved an awful lot of heavy carrying. Coulson, the smallest of the three, settled into directing for a while after Blackstone shooed him away, and the two of them lugged the heavy pieces back and forth. It developed into something of a race to see who could shift the piles fastest and Sebastian could only marvel at Blackstone’s strength and stamina. When he whistled past him with a load Sebastian put on a spurt to try and catch him and just as he was gaining some ground, caught his boot in something and end
