The Distance Between Us

Ayla's Pov "Ayla over here!" yelled Keiran as I was taking photos with my friends. I excused myself from them. I then ran to the middle of the field towards him as he called me. I had this big stupid smile on my face. We all just received our diplomas and finished up graduation. As I reached Keiran, I jumped into his arms and embraced him tight. "Easy there Ayla, you almost tackled me to the ground." He said in laughter. He settled me back on the grass. I looked up at him and reached up to wrap my arms towards the back of his neck, "Sorry I can't help myself when it comes to you. You should know this already." He looked back at me with deep loving eyes while holding me at my waist, bringing me in closer to him. "Oh I do know, my beautiful ray of light. I also can't help myself when it comes to you." He locked his lips with mine. As we pulled apart from our kiss he continued to say to me, "Turn around and close your eyes. I have something for you. And no peeking you stay turned around until I say. Got it?" I giggled and nodded my head yes to him. I turned around towards the bleachers of the football field, closing my eyes shut. I kept wondering what kind of graduation gift he had for me. Whatever it is I know I will love it! My anticipation was getting to me. It felt like minutes had passed by and I didn't want to wait any longer. I wanted to turn around and look already, "Keiran can I look now, what kind of gift did you get me that's taking this long?" I could hear him chuckling behind me. "Ayla quit being impatient. You can turn around but keep your eyes shut." I did as he said with my eyes shut tight. As I did I heard soft beautiful music start playing. "You can now open your eyes Ayla." Keiran said to me. As I started opening my eyes I was wondering what was going on that music started playing. Kieran was standing in front of me with all our friends surrounding us with posters in their hands. As I was about to ask, Kieran got down on one knee, pulling out a small black velvet box with a crescent moon on top and said the words, "Ayla, my ray of light and my moonlight in the dark. You are the love of my life since seventh grade. I do not know what I would do without you. So instead of finding out how life would be if you are not in it. I want you to be with me forever. Will you marry me?" as he asked me to marry him he opened the box revealing a beautiful white gold ring with crescent moons holding up the diamond. I squealed in excitement tears running down my face as I couldn't contain them from being overjoyed. "Yes! Yes and a million times yes Keiran, I will marry you!" As the words left my mouth Keiran stood up rushing towards me embracing me and lifting me up off the ground. As we were about to kiss. This loud screeching alarm was going off. I suddenly woke up.
