TEN 1980In the last six months, Rachel had become acclimated to her new surroundings. She bought some furnishings for her apartment, managing to afford a decent looking couch that was in great condition at the Goodwill. Later, she purchased two matching chairs to set around the card table. She had yet to find a bookcase that she liked or could afford, so she was considering the brick and boards approach. Little by little, the apartment was taking shape. Her favorite places to shop and eat had taken time to discover.
