The New Wolf

Chapter 11

“I would rather be in a nice purple convertible mustang with a black interior that has purple stitching in the seats and a top that goes down. Now that is my dream car. Well that and a Red Chevy Silverado with a black interior and red stitching in the seats.” I said as Jason and I walked down to the garage.

"So what would you like to take then?" Jason asked as he flipped the lights on revealing a massive garage with many different cars. I saw a midnight blue convertible mustang and instantly went to it. Smiling like an i***t I nod at this one.

"Oh you have great taste in cars sweetheart. I think I'll keep you around." Jason said, winking at me.

Rolling my eyes I hop in. Literally haha. As I buckle up I see Jason open the door with a big smirk on his face. "What?" I asked as a small smile sneaked it's way onto my face.

Jason shook his head and started the car. "Nothing. Just the way you got into the car. It was what I did when I first got her." I laughed a little.

“Her?” I asked with a raised eyebrow.

“Hell ya it's her. She's my baby.” Jason said as he pet the dashboard. “Uh-huh, so what's her name then?” his face went serious as he turned to look at me for a split second then back at the road. “Zoey.” was all he said before he sped off.

"So what do you like to do on a nice day?" he asked after a couple minutes of silence.

'Good thing he knows how to start a conversation’. I thought to myself. "Well it depends on how I'm feeling. When I'm upset I listen to music and draw. When I get pissed I’ll go work out. Happy I will sing, that rarely happens. If I am relaxed I will... Well I don't know what I would do. Usually when I'm relaxed I am asleep." It's true. I had a lot of things going on when I was at home. Between school and house work I had no time for myself. I used to sing when I was little but when Max left I stopped.

*Flashback*

"Max!" I yelled as I saw him get off the school bus. He turned and smiled at me. I gave him a big smile back and ran to him. Max gave me a hug and then put me on his back. "What did you do today my little Kay?" He asked as he walked us to the house.

"Oh nothing, I just had a bad dream and then drew how I felt. I'm also feeling sick... What about you?" Max stopped walking and put me on a bench next to the house.

"What kind of bad dream Kelly?" Man I should have just said I had a good day. I looked down, my hands are suddenly interesting to me at the moment.

"The same one I've been having for the past four weeks." I told him. He sighed and pulled out his IPod. He notices I'm giving him a funny look and plays this beautiful melody he made for me when I was six. Smiling I start to sing.

“There is a beautiful young lady

who lives in the woods.

she has violet eyes

and loves to play with the wolves.

If I could be one thing

that one thing would be

a wolf.”

I noticed Max smiling up at me. So I stop and smile back. “Why did you stop?” he asked. “Because you were smiling at me and I wanted to smile back.” I replied and gave him a hug. “Come on let's get you back home.”

*End of Flashback*

That was a really good day after that. I have really missed Max.

“Where do you go?” Jason's voice asked.

“What do you mean?”

“I was asking you something and noticed you were staring out into space again. Where do you go?” He kinda laughed at the end. Why was he nervous?

“Just back into memory lane. Nothing awesome I promise.” I told him with a small smile coming to my lips. Jason smiled back and then slowly moved his hand over to mine. It hovered over mine and he looked at me, as if asking for permission. I nodded and he covered my hand with his.

I am going to tell you the truth. When his hand covered mine, I felt electricity and warmth flow through me and it felt amazing. I’ve never felt anything like it.

“Did you feel that?” I asked Jason.

Smiling, Jason nodded. “It’s part of the mate bond. When we do finally mate it will get stronger and we will be able to read each other's thoughts. Like the mind link that I have with the pack. That will happen with us. Yes it happens with humans too but they won't be able to hear the pack members.'' That makes sense.

“So what is this mating process you are talking about?” I’m not 100% sure if I should have asked that. The only one reason is his eyes. They turned a dark blue color.

"Well this mating process is when you and your mate have s*x. Your mate will have to bite you for other unmated male wolves to know you are mine. Our scents would be mixed and you will bare my mark on you." He responded.

"Does the female do the same thing? Does she bite her mate?"

He shook his head. "No when the male bites the female and tastes her blood then her scent is mixed with his." Ok thats weird.

"What about the female?" I asked wanting to know how it feels.

Jason turned his head to me with mea questionable look on his handsome face. "What do you mean?"

"Does it hurt?"

His lips made an 'o' shape and then looked back at the road. We've been driving for a long time.

"Kelly from what people tell me is that at first it hurts but then that pain turns into pleasure. I would never hurt you intentionally. You have to know that." And I do. I know it's been a little under a month that I've been here and have known Jason but right when I met him everything clicked.

I squeezed his hand and smiled at him. He smiled back and looked back at the road. Sighing I put my head back and close my eyes. As soon as I feel myself start to relax a sharp pain goes to my stomach.

"Jason." I started but then the pain increased to my head. "I know. I'm turning around now. Ya I know. No she's in pain. I'm not letting her do this where humans could see and get hurt. I'll be there in ten minutes. Get everything ready." I look over to see Jason end the call.

Let me do what?

"It's going to be ok Kelly. I need you to relax and breathe, can you do that for me?" God my head kills!

"I'll try."

"Lay down in the back ok." I shook my head no. It hurts too much to move. He sighed and drove faster. All I feel is pain. Legs, feet, my toes, hands, arms, hell my bones hurt.

"Jason wh-ats hap-pening?" I had to whisper in order to get it all out. "You're about to change Kelly." Was all I heard before I blacked out from the pain.
