GOING TO GU.

611 Words
Derrick didn't get to meet Sarah awkwardly standing by the door, matter of fact, she was already gone when he woke. The house sent a chill note of stillness and tranquility. He found himself in the kitchen, in a bid to sort out the issues of his stomach. Briskly checking out the kitchen, Derrick opened the microwave and discovered a plate neatly covered. Opening the plate, he saw that it contained white rice and stew, topped with two pieces of beef. Derrick was instantly excited. He grabbed the plate from the microwave and made his way to the dining table. Derrick drove a spoonful of food into his mouth and let out a release of warmth and pure joy. The food was delicious, what else to expect from a Gu executive chef. It was after he'd almost gone halfway with his food that he began to see things In a different light. Ever since he found his way to the house, he'd not amounted financially to the feeding expenses, Sarah had been the one overseeing that aspect. Now that he thought deeply about it, it weighed heavily on his mind. He began to reason if his next line of action should tackle the problem, should he find a job so he could also assist? he didn't know how long he was going to be living there, so it might be an issue to the both of them. Derrick didn't want to compromise his identity, he wouldn't want whoever was after him to discover his location, so staying hidden and low was a priority. He pondered severely on what next to do, the issue on bothering her in any way became something he didn't want to do. The pace and mood at which he initially ate, reduced drastically. Getting a job would place him publicly for hours, what's worse? he was in Jacksonville, the heart of the Gu franchise. There was no solution, he began to reason selfishly. Sarah was in his sister's house after all, she didn't have pay rent, because Leah had purchased the house. Sarah was living rent-free, it wouldn't hurt if she tackled the feeding expenses for the now. That's is, after feeding his guilt, he returned to his former self, eating with enthusiasm. He couldn't wait for her to return from work, and then he would pay a visit to Stephanie. Yes, was going alone. Sarah wouldn't be pleased to sit it out, but he didn't care, he had his reasons. ******** Jimmy was on edge, he was so tensed that he worried about his elder brother Tyler, who was driving to notice his state. Jimmy was surprised when Tyler asked him to get dressed that morning, and to follow him. He had no clue where they were headed, or why his brother even wanted his company. Jimmy and Tyler had a casual and basic relationship, they hardly ever talked. In all the twelve months, Jimmy was MIA, he'd never conversed with is brother. He'd gotten to chat with Olivia occasionally, she was closer to him than Tyler. He saw his brother as a stoic and serious image, he feared that he wouldn't meet up to his level and expectations if he came close. His mother had verified that by always comparing them. Plus, the two of them weren't a match in all areas. So it made Jimmy keep his distance. ******* " Where... where are we going? " Jimmy gathered courage and inquired. " It's a Wednesday morning jimmy, where do you think? " " f**k, " Jimmy said under his breathe. " You're right, " Tyler tapped his lap, " We're going to Gu. "
