I managed to get some sleep that night, even though I felt confused and slightly overwhelmed. I felt like my world had been turned upside down, shaken and then put back all in one go, too much has happened in not enough time. The next morning I woke to a knock on the door and I get out of bed and rushed to get it. I opened the door and Quill stood on the other side, "Sorry for waking you up, my Queen -" he said, "I was just looking for the Alpha."Quill said as Robin opened the door of the guest's room next to mine. "What is it?" he said. "The pack are starting to discuss our situation and the think you and the Queen should be there." "At six in the morning? " "Our sleeping schedule has taken an odd turn, sir," Quill said. "You can say that again, "I mumbled. Quill smiled at me, Robin growled. That's a new one. "We'll be down there in a second. "I said and closed the door then walked to the bathroom to changed into a white shirt with red jeans with black boots. The pack was silent as I came down after Robin, probably sensing our tension. My famly was down there already and I knew that this was going to get messy. "So, Alpha, we were discussing how we are involved in this situation, should we join the coven for their battle? " "They want our Queen, we are involved no question asked," Raine said. "One witch cut our Pack by more by almost one third, I know a coven of. . .how many are there" "Twenty-five. "Eros told an enraged man, "though the entire vampire species answers to my sister." "If a witch took out more than a few wolves, is it really worth the risk to fight vampires? No offense sir, but is it really worth it? She was probably just a fling." one of the men said, Robin growled as he spoke, "Greg, she isn't a fling, and you should know better than to insult your Queen. Understood?" He snapped. "Yes, sir." They all said in unison. "If anyone is against my decision, stand." He said and two werewolves stood. Greg and I suspected his mate. "I'm sorry Alpha, but I can't remain here where my mate is in danger." He said. "Very well then, we will dismiss from the pack, you and Karen will be pack less tonight," Robin said, "You should get ready for school too" "Shouldn't Jane join the pack as well, we could also do her Unity Ceremony there. " Emma said. "I should. . ." I said, causing my family to look at me wide-eyed. "Vincent, Sara can we speak," Robin said.T hey nodded and as the pack moved outside for the ceremony we moved deeper into the house, into Vincent's private library. The round room was filled from left to right, up and down with bookcases and books. Most of which Vincent had let me read, me who he had once admitted I was his favorite. I tried to fill myself with as many happy memories I've had in this library before a new bad memory took it's place. ◇▪◇▪◇▪◇ROBIN ◇▪◇▪◇▪◇ If I wasn't angry at Jane, I could have enjoyed how awesome this was. The entire room was filled with books and in the center a sofa and a table with a book resting on it. I was already nervous about the situation, and her siblings were not making it easier. Vincent stood in the center as the rest of them made a crescent behind Jane, who stood in between them and me. "We all know Jane is . . . something else, "Vincent began. "And that she can be a vampire as well as a werewolf, but won't there be a hynx of some sort if she were to join the pack?" Eros said. "I don't know, Eros. But the pack is already falling apart from within, I need to do this." Jane said. "But do you want to?" he asked. Since when did he become so interested? "It's my duty." She said, her royal werewolf side rising. But, she was still mad. Sticking to her decision. "It will only be her wolf side joining the pack since she is a Royal werewolf and when she joins she will share the power through the pack. She will out rule me." I said, "It's already clear I'm no king." "Robin!" Jane hissed. I scowled, "What? Might as well let them know." I said bitterly, "We broke up." 'Mates can do that?'Abby thought, confused, and honestly so was I. An awkward silence fell upon us. Even Kenneth the joker of the family stayed quiet. "Oh." Qira said and walked to her brother, patting his shoulder. Vincent coughed awkwardly, "Teenage relationships are always. . .complicated." Kenneth laughed, "A hybrid just broke up with a werewolf Alpha, Vincent, this is far more that." Jane sighed, "It is. Kenneth. I'm a hybrid and my emotions are all over the place. But can we not talk about that right now." I smirked, "When do you ever talk about this." She turns and glares at me, "I am trying to help, Robin! Please! Don't be an immature arse!" I snapped. I turned on my heels and headed for the door before I said, "You know, I just wished you helped in some other way." ◇▪◇▪◇▪◇JANE◇▪◇▪◇▪◇ Just as Abby and Sara left the library after the others. All still stunned by Robin's outburst. I owed Robin a lot, but I had let that blind me, I couldn't love a man who I felt in debt to, it felt . . .wrong. Like if I was saved by it. I loved Robin, but not like a partner way, in a brotherly way. I just hoped he could embrace that and not make it seem like he wants the Royal crown. I let a loud groan and sank to a chair. Eros voice rang in my head, 'Jane?' He called. "What is it?" I looked up at him, trying to hide the uncertainty and mixed emotions I felt right then. "I-I wanted to ask if you were ok? I didn't mean to pry in your head, but . . ." I smirked, "I just wish thing were different, you know. His pack is in danger because of a fight that's not even his to begin with, and to be honest, I don't think he is my mate. . . something feels off, and. . .and I don't think I should be after all that I've taken from him. Plus, I think it's my duty to protect them. . .one way or another. " Eros walked towards me and chuckled slightly, "Don't be so hard on yourself, Janeane, he would have grown in love with you even if you're not his mate. And even if you're Queen, it doesn't mean you have to join them. You're their Queen, not fellow pack member. Sure, he has lost things, but what he's gain is more. . . Love does things to us. " he murmured the ending. My throat hitched and I stuttered, "W-w-why do I have a feeling you were talking about someone else?" He looked up and smiled, embarrassed as he said, "Because I am, Janeane. "
